I don't know if it had to do with Albi's eye. After all, it was quite some time before they got Sina. I think, perhaps, she just wanted her own girly dog. Funny thing, for a few years now it's been the trend for fashionable young women to possess a toy dog. It makes sense to a certain point, a dog provides companionship to a busy woman, who doesn't have time to see her bf or friends as often as she pleases: and being small the dog can be taken almost anywhere (unlike a cat). Anna probably followed that trend (as she usually does, often after the trend's over, lol), and she was likely lonely, Dofus worked and they moved all the time. Perhaps Albi's reticent disposition didn't suit her so well or he really took to Dofus more. And maybe they though having a companion would be good for Albi. Idk, it feels like she makes these decisions to fill holes in her life, which of course doesn't work, so more dogs, more kids, more stuff.
I'd not be surprised if they planned on all four dogs being Emilia's responsibility. Remember how they bought that doll with 4 dogs last year in Sorrento? And Anna went on to say E will have 4 dogs too? It sounds as though I'm reading too much into it but it wouldn't be that much of a stretch. Lol, good luck with that for some time yet. Maybe that's why they want her to grow up fast--so she can start picking up dog droppings faster .
From what I remember - Sina came about after they went to rescue homes looking for a rescue dog as they were part of / supporting a dog charity. They used to do shout-outs for it etc. They said how sad it was reading all these stories about dogs in Ireland used for fighting and baiting and being abandoned, so they decided to get another dog - a rescue. They went to one rescue and Anna started crying apparently. There was one dog that they might have got that Anna was crying about being so sad Then they got Sina instead from a breeder. :? I remember there being a bit of a hoo-har about that in the comments. They never would have thought of getting another dog other than Albi otherwise.
Oh I dont think it had ALL to do with Albis eye but you know that knocked marks off him in Annas book, she is FAR too superficial. She even said before that he's not a "perfect maltese cos of, yknow, his eye"
Like that takes from his pedigree.
Thats actually horrible, if they were so set on getting a shelter dog to go and buy from a breeder is horrible. Anna is far too sensitive. She needs to toughen the hell up she does not live in the real world at all.

But that's it, isn't it - they're Irish Americans. I bet some of them have never even been to Ireland, let alone been born there. It's a fascinating subject, maybe we could talk about it on the 'Not About Gurus' board. I had two Irish great-grandfathers but it would never cross my mind to call myself Anglo-Irish. I was born in Britain and live there. Why are Americans both very patriotic, yet also keen to pretend they're from somewhere else?
I don't think anyone pretends to be from somewhere else. No, no, but it has become a sort of cultural thing to discuss one's ancestors and from which countries they emigrated. I suppose it has to do with the relative youth of the country itself, as most Americans' grandparents or great-grandparents were immigrants. Like Anna talking about her roots so much because they are fresh.
As to the Irish thing, there are many newly arrived Irish, many second or third generation Irish who still cherish their Irish roots. But the St. Patrick's Day ruckus is a bit of a travesty here. It's all about parades, wearing green and mostly drinking. It's mainly seen as a party day and most don't know why he is celebrated or what he has done.
'Is that vodka?' Margarita asked weakly. The cat jumped up from its chair in indignation. 'Excuse me, your majesty,' he squeaked, 'do you think I would give vodka to a lady? That is pure spirit!'

The sad thing is, these dogs have an expected lifespan of twelve to fifteen years, meaning they will die when Emilia is at a very vulnerable age (puberty). So, unless they keep adding more dogs as they go along, Emilia is in for a lot of heartbreak down the line. If you are getting pets especially for your child I think it makes more sense to get them when the child is old enough to take some responsibility and will be even older when the animals die.

This is so true. My son is 4, I plan on getting him A dog (just one :P ) when he's 6 or 7. When he's old enough to know how to take care of one, treat it with respect and take it for walks. And hopefully have the dog well into his 20s I remember being at work with a 25 year old girl who got news that her dog died off a customer. She went out the back and broke down like a child, no teenager needs to lose 6 dogs in a row.

^What Gin said. I was born and raised in the US and my great grandparents were French Canadian immigrants but even though I'm proud of my roots, I still think of myself as an American. There's nothing wrong with people being proud of their heritage. The US is such a young country and most Americans are a blend of different roots. Everyone I know here has relatives, whether distant or close that are from another country. Of course that doesn't mean if an American's great great grandparents are Irish they can go around telling everyone they're Irish American but it doesn't mean they can't be proud of where their roots lie.

I never said that we weren't American. America is a melting pot of the entire worlds ethnicities. If you were to live here people will ask of what nationality you are quite often. All of us are from somewhere unless you are native american indian. There is nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage. Its hard for someone to understand I guess who has always lived in the same country as their ancestors.

LOL I'm gonna come RIGHT out and say this
SHE said I said the saccone jolys were abusing Emilia for letting her drink out of a sippy cup
when what I SAID was in reply to someone telling me that "Emilia is their baby, they can do what they want with her"

I said "Saying that is ridiculous, does that mean all the people who abuse their children and end up with them in foster care can say "Well thats my child I can do what I want with it" No it doesnt, juse because you have a child does not mean you can do what you want with it"

SHE called me a horrible person, accused me of accusing them of child abuse and when she REFUSED to back the fuck down I lost it with her
and shes crying to Anna? SUCH a wuss!

There, you can see all the SHIT she said to me in the comments section. You can see how much I tried to clarify it. Such a cunt.

Oreo scratched his lens, they took Albi to the vet, when he was taken there they decided to try and save his eye, then the pressure built up too much and they decided that removing the eye was the safest option

I thought it was Nicky scratched it and they didn't take him to the vet quickly enough so it got infected and that's why it had to be removed?

If her throwing the puppies on to each other to incite a fight is anything to go by then it's probably Anna / Jofus that started that in the first place :-( poor dog.

Now this makes me mad. They waited their sweet time to take him to the vet I assume? I used to work in a vets office and rarely is an eye lost over being scratched. :(

I always thought it was oreo, I could be wrong I wasnt watching them long enough. I know they took him as soon as they could and then they decided to keep the eye, maybe the infection set in after that?
Theres a video called The Truth about Albi, and thats where I got my information from, with the exception of the cats name which I could just be remembering wrong

I just had to go and have a look at their twitters after she went crying to Anna over yesterday, she is brown nosing anna, meaning shes licking her butt to get her in her favour, when "rosiefreckle" or w/e her name is was being a TOTAL bitch, and Anna was like OMG U R SO IMPORTANT TO MEEE <3 DONT PASS ANY MIND THEYRE NOT WORTH YOUR TIME!" and then that girl had a FREAK out because Anna retweeted her, and said she was sending a big parcel to her "Fav Fam", so in effect, anna is getting a big parcel because she retweeted a lick arse, who was in the wrong, and millitantly harassed me yesterday. wow lmfao. Talk about knowing how to reward bad behaviour they do it with their fans too never mind their dogs. I dont even consider myself a hater, I used to be a fan, but I'm DEF not on the hardcore side of either fence. That girl was so inappropriate yesterday and theres Anna telling her she was right. Man alive. Emilia is fucked later in life if she becomes a bully and has Anna telling her its ok.
