They split the rent/mortgage (whichever it is) evenly with her parents. They pay for their own stuff. And they are happy. I guess I just dont understand what the big deal is.. They arent mooching off their parents or anything so who cares?!

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
It is so annoying. I think it will be so funny if the hospital doesn't let her wear it, because a lot don't. Every time she mentions it she sounds so vain. You would think if her appearance at the hospital mattered that much to her then she would put more effort into her every day look.Moeproblems wrote:Never have I ever heard someone complain about a hospital gown so much. It's honestly so annoying. It has been mentioned in so many vlogs. You're having a baby not walking down the runway.

This is from Bryan's twitter:BrutalHonesty wrote:They split the rent/mortgage (whichever it is) evenly with her parents. They pay for their own stuff. And they are happy. I guess I just dont understand what the big deal is.. They arent mooching off their parents or anything so who cares?!
@bryanlanning: We are a multigenerational household. I find not many people understand that. They think we're just living with Missy's parents like hobos.
@bryanlanning: When actually they're living with us just as much as we're living with them. It's our roof. Not theirs. MG households make up 20% of the US.
I think people need to let the whole them living with her parents thing go.. Just because it isn't something you would do doesn't mean it's "wrong". Would I TTC under my parents roof? No. But I couldn't give a shit about what others do. They don't mooch off the parents, they both work (well missy is on maternity leave but ya know) and they pay their way. It works for their whole family so who cares?
As for the advertising thing, I don't think it was ever really a secret that they wanted to turn YouTube into a job. A) that sort of thing is what Bryan does for a living so they may as well take advantage of that. B) who would film daily vlogs and put that much work in for free? And C) if they have found a way to make money from home while entertaining people and doing something they enjoy and are good at than good for them, I think. I think this is them thinking of their future. They thought ahead to when missy wouldn't be working anymore and thought of a way to supplement her income. And they bring hope to a lot of people who have been in similar circumstances to them.
I do agree that she was a bit over the top with the whole hospital gown thing but whatever. They are pretty hideous & I think they're extremely uncomfortable.
Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
"multigenerational household", hahaha I've heard it all. I guess that's a nice way of saying you're a loser. Usually that term would be reserved for elderly parents living w/ their children, not grown ass adults 20+ living with mommy and daddy.
And that's great they are making YouTube into a business, maybe it will be profitable enough where they can move out and support themselves like REAL ADULTS.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
Maybe I have more sympathy because where I live in Australia the rent on my house is $1300 PER WEEK. So yeah a lot of people in their early 20's still live with their parents. Like I said, just because its not something you would do doesn't make it wrong.ladybug wrote:"multigenerational household", hahaha I've heard it all. Here in Australia there is a lot of families like that, the grandparents living with their kids and grandchildren, because they cannot afford not to. Rent is too high now.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
I do think it's weird how Missy is with her family. She brings her whole family to her appointments, her mom speaks for her at the doctors like she's a child. I think Missy wants to live with her family because they baby her so much and she likes all the attention.ladybug wrote:"multigenerational household", hahaha I've heard it all. Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
Stacy- well that might be true in Austrailia, but not in the United States. There are MANYYY places they could rent that are affordable. And wow, $1300/week seems REALLY high, I wonder what that is converted to US dollars?
Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
They have said that they intend to moveminti their own place sometime within two years maximum, so he will get his own room eventually! Newborns and young babies don't need their own rooms really anyway, especially if they are being breast fed.Amelia322 wrote:Poor Ollie will never have his own room
Can I ask you why you hate Missy and Bryan so much?? Haha you just seem to realllly, really dislike them. I was wondering what they did to rub you the wrong way so badly

I don't hate them. I dislike certain things that they do but that's MY opinion and why I come on here
Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
Well, that's their situation now but I definitely remember them saying down the road they will have their own place, for the next year or two though this Is what works for them. And yup, everyone's entitled to their own opinion on whether they think that's "inappropriate" or no big deal, or whatever. (Although, I can't see how it's "mooching" if they are both paying 50/50 of the rent. If that's the case then, like Bryan said, her parents would be just as much mooching off of missy and Bryan as they would be off her parents, ya kno??)Amelia322 wrote:Oh I thought they planned on staying there forever! I wouldn't be surprised if she or Bryan were lurking on here. In a way they seem obsessed with knowing how people perceive them.Amelia322 wrote: Is this missy?

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
I see nothing wrong with them living with her parents, but eh TTCing while living with parents now that's kinda messed.
In my opinion, I think they should have thought a little more before TTCing, but that's just me. Or hey at least make sure there is an extra bedroom for the baby if they plan on 1+ years living there.
Also, I thought it was really strange when Missy's mother did all the talking in the hospital.

I speak the truth, if that makes me a bitch then so be it.

Missy needs to wear a bra in her videos. I hate seeing women with out a bra. It's very obvious when someone isn't wearing a bra.

Yeah I agree. That top did not look comfortable. I just think not wearing a bra in public or when you will be making a video to the public, is a little odd. Maybe its just me, but I would never go out in public without a bra.

i think they have made it glaringly obvious they read this site routinely with how bryan seems to tweet or post things on topics we are discussing only hours after, or how they did their draw my life and discussed the divorce only a day or two after it was revealed here. a video like that takes some time to put together so they had to have reacted quickly after it came out here, other youtubers that have done them talk about how it takes a while to record the drawings and edit it.Raspberries wrote:I wouldn't be surprised if she or Bryan were lurking on here.
