What happened with Ollie? I can't watch the video and I'm really curious on what happened. And what was the danger?

She wasn't feeling him kick all day. She went to the hospital to get checked out and I believe after some monitoring and testing, they decided he needed to come out asap. So she had an emergency c-section.sillylilly80 wrote:What happened with Ollie? I can't watch the video and I'm really curious on what happened. And what was the danger?

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
How crazy that, with her history, when she called in and reported her situation and concerns, they told her to do her 'kick count' at the regular time (evening) and call back. Really? Even with her history? Her previous doctor said the risk of stillbirth increases at 37 weeks, which she is past. His movement decreased a LOT. Plus, she doesn't FEEL right. I'm sorry, but that was obviously the wrong advice. The baby "failed" all the tests once they got to the hospital and once he was born, needed oxygen and help to breathe. Missy knew what was best and I'm so glad she trusted her instincts.MakeupGirly wrote:She wasn't feeling him kick all day. Imagine what could have happened if she listened to them. It could have been a very different story today.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
Was him not moving much because he finally ran out of room because of her uterus? Or could it be something else?
I speak the truth, if that makes me a bitch then so be it.

Cried. I also blame my pregnancy hormones. That was a sweet and moving video.
I am so glad that Missy listened to her baby and her body.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
Omg I was just in tears watching that, I cry at literally every birth I attend which has been about 34ish at this point. Let this be a lesson ladies, LISTEN TO YOUR INSTINCTS!! Do not let a midwife trump your maternal feelings!

Yeah she seems to be very in tune with her body.
Thank goodness because if she didnt insist on getting checked who knows what would have happened.. He's adorable though!

Wow I seriously cried throughout that whole video. Actually, I bawled. I don't even know why. I think it's because their story is so touching! I was so anxious waiting for him to cry! I'm soo happy that they finally get to hold their little boy. Say what you want about them but it's people like them that deserve to be parents.

As soon as Bryan had the music playing, I started tearing up.
Then they got to the footage of his mom on the phone/Missy BFing and I freaking lost it.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
I was teary eyed early on in the video but when it showed them praying right before they wheeled her back and I saw the fear in Missys eyes I lost it. Thank God she trusted her instincts and didn't listen to the midwife. She did totally save her sons life !! Such a beautiful video !!
Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
Even overdue, babies still have room to move. They're not kicks so much, more like big rolls and that fidgeting feeling when someone is trying to get comfortable. You still count that as a kick.Heartbreakcoverupxo wrote:Was him not moving much because he finally ran out of room because of her uterus? Or could it be something else?

I cried the whole video!!!! This was probably their best video I didn't even find annoying!!!! So glad they didn't take him because she forced labor but because it was an emergency! I'm excited to see where the vlogs are headed.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
It was a very emotional video to watch. Although they are not one of my fav Youtubers I am happy that they finally have a healthy living baby and get to experience being a mother and father. She did the right thing when she knew something was wrong.

No, it was the on-call midwife that told her to wait.MissB wrote:It was the nurse who said not to go and waitClutchthePearls wrote:I was teary eyed early on in the video but when it showed them praying right before they wheeled her back and I saw the fear in Missys eyes I lost it. Re: BumpsAlongTheWay
What a beautiful birth video!!
This is a little random but I just started watching this channel today..do they live in a studio style house? From the few videos I've watched of them it seems like their house is just one big room..maybe I am seeing it wrong though. Does she have a house tour video?
