Why was the camera on before the lady came up to Lucy? I wonder if Lucy was warned already by this lady so they decided to turn the camera on to hopefully catch some drama, which they sure did!

I was wondering the same thing. Lucy is one of those woman who just whip her boob out to nurse. She doesn't care. However, while nursing, a baby's mouth is completely covering a mothers nipple usually. So her just showing her skin shouldn't be an issue, because if so, then EVERYONE needs to cover themselves up for showing skin.

I do think that the lady probably said something to her, then Lucy ignored her and Joel saw her coming up and decided to film it.

Ok so i just listened again CLOSELY..several times actually lol. Lucy was talking about some sort of class(or whatever) in September. The lady came up to her and said "Are you looking to do classes" and Lucy said "Yes...i got it handled". Then the lady said "Lucy, I am going to ask you to leave".

From what i heard(from the video) she asked her out of no where. I wonder if they were filming for a vlog before that scene? Or maybe the lady was giving off a bad vibe(and dirty looks) and Joel seen her coming so he started to film? Interesting..

Hell, I'm sure Lucy was hoping somebody would say something, but I don't think that is really relevant now that somebody did. Like you said, they were wrong and should get the negative attention that they deserve for having ignorant employees trying to enforce violating a mothers right to feed her child.

Regardless of her intentions and how much attention, as well as money she will get from this, all that matters is that this rec. center, which is a family place (that includes mothers & newborns), got exposed for wrongdoing.

Lucy (and friend) were interviewed for the news segment that aired.

This is just my opinion, but regardless of whether or not Lucy was intentionally trying to stir the pot, the employee was 100% wrong. How hard is it to tell your child (of whatever age) that the woman is feeding her baby? My nephew, who is 5 witnessed me breastfeeding my children. He asked what I was doing. I explained they were eating and he thought it was pretty cool that they could eat from my boob for about 5 seconds before he was off doing something else. Teaching your children to think breastfeeding is something to be shunned or ashamed of does no one any good.

I think she did this for the wrong reasons and was intentionally looking for SOMEONE to call her out on exposing herself, BUT must say I agree with standing up for herself 100%. Babies have the right to eat without a cover over their heads. I would go ape shit if someone told me to leave a place.

The "nursing room" at our local mall is ONE room with a rocking chair for a pretty good sized mall. You have to wait on other nursing mothers to finish which could take up to 30 minutes or so. It's s major pain on the ass!! And pretty far from most stores. I used it with my son but never will again.

I think it should be noted that the Rec center agreed that they are required to allow.breastfeeding by law, but asked they either cover themselves or go to another room. Either way, maybe texas law makers need to specify to what extent a woman can breastfeed. Boobs hanging out or a cover.

Yes I do think Lucy should have just disagreed with the lady and left (without making a scene) but it was wrong of the facility to insist she cover up. There is a law saying she can breastfeed in public, but that law does not give them the authority to say when, how, or where she does it. You cannot enforce a law (to cover up) that does not exist.
