Yeah, if I had a daughter I would rather know she's having sex and learning about protection instead of her doing it behind my back thinking I'll get mad. Some parents just refuse to get their children birth control because they think if they get birth control they will have sex. I think it's worse for a child to come home pregnant/get someone pregnant than having sex in my opinion.
I speak the truth, if that makes me a bitch then so be it.

I was just open with my daughters. Neither of them had been sexually active, but I wanted them to know we could talk about it in a non-judgemental fashion, and that I would even go with them to the doctor if they wanted. They went on birth control well before they needed it, and of course we talked about STD 's too. I gave them condoms too. We can talk about anything. Sex is part of life. Most girls will experiment with it too young (IMO), that's just a fact. I also feel that it's the girls who end up with all the responsibility if something goes wrong. Not counting those who are actively trying to get pregnant. I think those that do try to get pregnant very young have something else going on in their heads, whether it is something real, or something imagined.

I was just thinking what was best for the baby. I know I'm not the baby's mother, but it just doesn't seem right to me. Maybe it's from watching too much Teen Mom and seeing those girl's lives fall apart. I honestly feel bad for Sierra, she has no idea what she's in for.

So I don't understand how this chick has no many fans. She is pretty but in a "I am 15 and knocked up" kinda way. And she doesn't post anything ground-breaking, but all of her IG pics have like 1k comments on them and her videos have like 50,000-500,000 views... does she do something magical and I just don't know?

I thinks it's because she was the pretty, popular 15 year old kid who got knocked up, made a video about it with a little drama, names her son Nova Alexander and plans to nickname him Zander (wtf? seriously?) and voila. So you know, she's immediately an inspiration after that.
In the name of the moon, I shall gossip about you.

I think she has a flair for the dramatic, and that's what keeps people interested. I don't mind the name Zander, but really dislike the name Nova. Alexander Nova wouldn't be nearly as bad IMO.

It was her first video that sparked so much interest in her. I honestly thought she was reading a story because all the dramatics. She's an adorable little girl and I do wish her the best of luck. It's unfortunate that kids so young are having kids themselves. Babies having babies. Sad thing is I feel videos like hers hurt the situation more than help. Which teen doesn't want to be popular and Internet famous now a days ? Seems as though being a pregnant YouTuber is the way to get that notoriety.

This is what makes it so sad, I know youtube is a lot different from tv, but even if all evidence of this is 'deleted' it will still be somewhere on the internet. These people don't think about the future at all when they decide to document their, and more importantly their kids lives. I feel this about Teen Mom too, how are these kids going to feel when they perchance google themselves and find this on the internet when they're teenagers, about the drama that was publicised to a small city in views in Sierra's case?

I know Sierra hasn't acted nearly as bad as the women on Teen Mom but it's the same principle, if something was documented that the child can be teased about when they're older and their peers find out, like these videos, I don't think the stigma of being a teenage mother will have died out in the next 15-20 years, their lives will be made miserable by their peers.

Sorry if I've come across as really preachy/moany here, it's something I feel quite strongly about.

I completely agree. I don't think this generation understands the magnitude of their actions online. They use full names and put up crazy pictures that anyone has access to. I don't understand how so many can pour their lives out on YouTube. It takes a different kind of person to do that. I value my privacy and would be so paranoid showing my house, my room, my family. I feel for the children involved. They cannot give consent to have their whole childhood on the Internet. It is very sad.

She has her mother behind her, she will be fine. I really don't think she should give the child up for the adoption. Her mother seems to be doing quite fine and will definitely help Sierra.
I think Tayler is in a much worse situation and Tayler's mom probably isn't doing that well either. So if we are discussing who should give their children up for the adoption it's Tayler. Sierra is sure younger and does a bunch of stupid crap. Including the name being weird but that's fine. I thnk the child will be fine, really.

If she is going to call him Xander/Zander then why name him Nova? Might as well call him Alexander Nova, or does she want to seem so hip and cool so badly?
