^Having grown up with an unusual name myself (Phoenix) I really feel for children with odd names, it seems to be mainly younger mother's who do it thinking it's 'cute' again with no thought to their children's future. Studies have shown that kids with unusual names tend to score lower than their peers on tests (blind studies have been done where 1 marker marks two identical tests, one with a fairly common name like Kate, and another with an unusual name, the less common name often will score 1 letter grade lower) will often get a criminal record and often don't get called back for job interviews etc.
Obviously this isn't the case for everyone, I'm studying for a degree atm and have had a part-time job throughout secondary school, but it does make things harder on the child. Often they have to prove themselves where a more normal named child won't.

Well Phoenix isn't too bad for a girl. You can always go by Phoe. I knew a little boy called Phoenix and wondered if his parent where high, they nameed him Phoenix because Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix came out the same month he was born and were fans. He has brothers called Caspian and Rourke. :-|

Wow, yeah that's pretty extreme. I always hated my name as a child but I've since grown into it. I think boys would have it worse though having a weird name, especially Nova, it seems really feminine, and I don't doubt that kid will be teased because of it.

There are just some people who shouldn't be able to name their children.

I agree. If you follow moms on tumblr, many of then give their children unusual names I remember seeing one mom who had two little girls named eternity and shade, another one who has a daughter named epiphany, one they named her son bane, flame, and the list goes on and on. And I know someone irl that named their daughter hermione because they are huge Harry potter fans.

I find it hard to believe this girl is actually pregnant. I guess we will see. People that are really pregnant do not go out of their way to NEVER show their bellies in videos. It makes absolutely no sense. I haven't seen a ton of pictures, but the ones I have seen look fake. If she is 35+ weeks pregnant, her belly would be MUCH larger, and would easily noticeable and very hard to hide in videos. Time will tell!

She is pregnant and has shown her appropriately size bump. She's carrying low and toward her back. Very much like I did my second time around. ;)

I saw the first video a few weeks ago! I couldn't finish it cause she seemed like she was trying to be so dramatic with her story.

Seems like her son will be her priority according to what I get from her instagram. She seems to care more about guys and while its great to want to continue her education, to me it seems like its her getaway from responsibility she got herself in. Also he gets a stupid trendy name Nova but will be called Zander (seriously wtf?) because its ' suuuuuper unique and cool!'

^ It's like that with, I'd say, the majority of teenage mothers though. In my secondary education I knew probably around 7 girls from the ages of 14-18 who had children, most of them are in denial and it seems to be only the ones with their heads on straight and understand the responsibility that comes with having a child that have become good mothers IMO. They try to live a teenage life but they don't get that it can't carry on that way, the moment you give birth, the moment YOU are no longer the priority, it's even worse though for teenagers who have always been taken care of and never had a chance to find out what it's like to sustain themselves, to go from that to having to take care of not only yourself but another helpless being? Hell I've known women in their 30's that can't get their heads around that so it's no wonder young mother's can't.

I don't know what kind of a mother Sierra will turn out to be. I hope she is a good mom. Doesn't anyone else feel sorry for her though? You look at her video about school, and she seems so very YOUNG! Her best friend is still in braces. She could have had this whole carefree part of high school and college, but it's basically gone now. I hope she is prepared, and will be okay physically and emotionally for the birth and afterward. I hope she has a lot of good support. I feel so bad for her. She's such a free-spirit right now.

I don't feel sorry for her at all. She chose to have unprotected sex now she has to deal with the consequences. I have no sympathy for this girl. I just feel sorry for the baby.

Did she say she had unprotected sex ..or is that just an assumption because she is pregnant?

either way she is a kid who made a mistake and seems to be trying, no one knows what kind of mom anyone will be at any age I wish the girl the best and since not much is known about sierra see no reason to say anything negative about the child
baby # 2 due early 2015 ..fingers crossed for PINK!!

Because she is a selfish 15 year old. We all know her mum will end up raising her son, she literally has no idea what she is in for.

Because she's a child, and children love water parks the most. She'll definitely be one of those teen mothers that wants to go to the mall with her friends instead of watching her child.
I speak the truth, if that makes me a bitch then so be it.
