And Peyson running OUT FRONT in just her underwear.dfwmom wrote:So here's another thing that I still dislike about Lucy - "here's a video of what my front door looks like and also what my side yard looks like"
Does she not think that there are idiots who will try to find you and your children in person?
Also, in that video she shows her kids running around while she is paying attention to the camera. They are very young and totally out of her sight while she is talking to herself on the camera. I would never let that happen especially in a busy place like the metroplex. Now granted she is in a more rural area than I am but it's still not THAT rural that you shouldn't be watching your children while they are playing in the front yard.

Re: Lucy Eades: Part 10
Breast milk is produced on a supply and demand basis yes, but some women cannot supply enough is MY POINT. Which was I initially brought it up. Maybe Lucy needs help producing enough milk for the baby?Peacebewithyou wrote:I'm going to "respectfully disagree" with you here. Breastfed babies NEED to eat more often because breastmilk is digested easily and RAPIDLY. It is completely digested in 2hrs on average. Breastmilk is also produced on a supply and demand basis- sucking at the breast isn't for the babies "comfort" as a pacifier is- it is a breastfed babies demand for the mothers breast to continue to make enough milk to meet the babies nutritional NEEDS.Snow White wrote:Well what I DO KNOW is I was Respectful in disagreeing with YOU. I feel you did not show the same respect?FLOSSY77 wrote:^^No. With breastfed babies it is different. Could be lots of reasons why they eat more often. And putting a baby on a schedule is personal choice. Not at all needed. They change it up on you regardless. With 3 kids you should know that. By 2 months they are more predictable. But all they need is to know you come when they cry and fix it.
(Though it is hard to gauge tone over the Internet )
While I agree scheduling is more for the parents, my children still ate on demand, while on a flexible schedule (that yes changed as they grew) My point was and is, Lucy should know by now her child's habits, she could, for the sake of her family plan her day as best she could around that schedule. Make sense?
For example, dailybumps fed Oliver Before leaving the house. She's quoted as saying "he's fed , we should have an hour?"
Also are their not studies proving schedules are good for children? (Though please know I UNDERSTAND, for every statistic there is another to challenge the validity of the first)
Anyways, Can Lucy not do the same thing? Can she not feed the baby before they get in the vehicle, to avoid 3 hour trips home that in reality take 20 minutes?
I know we see only snip it's of her day, I'm just commenting on the fact that she seems to lack any preplanning ?
Also ONE reason BF babies can appear to eat often is that they are simply looking for the comfort of the nipple. They are not actually hungry. This is a FACT. This is where a pacifier would be handy. They make pacifiers that support BF!
Also my initial statement is also a fact. The baby may be feeding more often, due to insufficient milk supply. NOT saying that is the case, but it is a possibility!
Look I don't want any hard feelings, we can RESPECTFULLY AGREE TO DISAGREE. But if you question my parenting, knowing nothing about me, I'm gonna take offence.
Eta: I apologize. I realize I am way off topic :\
Also there are plenty of mothers and studies to support my comment. Some babies do use the breast/nipple as a pacifier. I mentioned this after their extremely LONG car ride, which seemed to support the idea that the baby was looking for comfort, rather than a 3 hour feeding session. At which point , if was a 3 hour feeding seeion would that not support the idea that Lucy was experiencing milk issues... ?

Re: Lucy Eades: Part 10
I wouldn't be surprised if Joel asked her to start covering up (but only just a little) after watching the Hodge Twins video. My hubby said he was creeped out about a couple of tough guys making those type of comments about the appearance of breasts.

Re: Lucy Eades: Part 10
yeah that kinda scared me a little when she was talking to the camera and then showed the kids coming around the corner or something . and she was like where is peyson and a few seconds later peyson came running behind them . I never let my son play where I cant see him . like I know she lives in a cul de sac but still I need to see my kids . especially with peyson being basically nakes outside . there is no excuse for that one that's just wrong ..

Have you tried using the diono angle adjuster? It can be used to make the rear facing seat sit more upright so it fits in smaller spaces. It's safe to use after the child is one. It can be purchased on amazon and is unlike $11

No b/c we have a car seat appt coming up and the techs will let us know exactly what we need to do to keep her at the safest option possible. They said for now to leave her at what we knew was a proper install till appt time.

ahh, they are suggesting it for Jace. I'm talking about for the middle row kids who's car seats. The front (driver and passenger) seats are smashed into the car seats, bracing, which you aren't supposed to do.

Snow White wrote:I respectfully disagree. Babies can and should be on some sort of schedule by 4 wks old.
I have three children, all very close in age and while I agree a newborn* can be all over the place, most moms have them sorted out by 4 wks.
Also if a baby is nursing is every 20 mins, would it be safe to *assume they are not getting a sufficient amount of milk the first time around?
Edited : because I didn't actually write anything the first time around!
No, breastfed babies do something called "cluster feeding" when they are having or just before they are going to have a growth spurt. It's their way of building up the milk supply.
Re: Lucy Eades: Part 10
Miaow! Aren't we bitchy tonight! You either don't have kids or you have perfect kids that never whine about anything. Obviously it not typical for a 4/5 year old to whine about anything without them being a troubled child. You got any site recommendations??FLOSSY77 wrote:Exactly right! Maybe some people need to get off yt and teach there kids to be more appreciative. But that would be hard for Lucy. Those kids are just copying what they see. And for the record a child that leads a fulfilled charming life as you say. But whines about it. Is not a happy child. Maybe you are as delusional as Lucy. Why don't you go to a site about troubled children.PinkGlitter82 wrote:ACTUALLY I have had 3, soon to be 4. No way have I EVER treated my children the way Lucy treats Jace. NEVER. Not even when they were being the most ungrateful lil monsters ever. I also would never talk about them on camera and post it on YT for the world to see, one day Jace will be able to look back on these videos and see how her MOTHER treats her and how the others (esp Pace Pace) are favored over her.HLmail wrote:On lord some of you lot seem desperate to pick apart any aspect of Lucy's videos! So some of your are having a go about Lucy complaining about Jacelyns ungrateful attitude. Do any of you HAVE a 5yr old?! I've got a 4n half year old and I sure as hell empathise with Lucy on this one! I find it highly frustrating at the moment when my eldest complains and whines about stuff, when she sure as hell leads a fulfilled, charming life.
It's not much of a 'gossip' site really is it? You're all either regurgitating the same crap, bitching about trivial things, or arguing with each other (actually, i find the latter rather amusing). Maybe the site name needs to be changed...

I don't believe it really took them 3 hours. I think Lucy and Joel were exaggerating.

LMAO. I love that Joel had to announce the new dog. Lucy will never admit to anything.

Re: Lucy Eades: Part 10
She's pumping milk for 3 kids so i assume her supply is ok. The baby also didn't feed for 3 hours she just needed comfort, remember Joel was holding her in the vlog? Also why give a baby a fake nipple instead of the real thing? And so what if she did have low supply?! Cluster feeding doesn't mean there is a problem, that's the normal way for the body to increase supply. There are studies that show scheduling is harmful btw with empirical evidence. Breastmilk gives more than just nutrition, that sensory and hormonal regulation is important for optimal development. If mom is able to give what the baby is designed to receive then why give something not as good? If she covered herself i don't see the problem? Babies have a lot of growth spurts the first 3 months so constant feeding is usually fine. There are many things that irritate me about Lucy but nursing her baby whilst watching the others is not one of them.Snow White wrote:

Re: Lucy Eades: Part 10
So they were basically waiting to get a new dog first then before they talked about it publicly. Is that 4 dogs in 4 months? I wonder if this one will last long. Surely if Lucy was trying that hard to find the dog they would've done more with talking about it, they blasted her BRICK experience to get local support and they could've asked for local help to find the dog. I hope they manage to look after it properly.

Re: Lucy Eades: Part 10
That's what I wondered. She has lots of followers, so if she really missed that dog and was desperately searching, why not say anything? It was brushed under the rug and then deleted on that Facebook page. And then they go get another dog, an older dog who is potty trained, knows commands, etc. I think that was the problem right there! Puppies take work, work that they were not willing to put in. Poor little Lola. Hopefully she is with a better family now.

The dogs name is Leia pronounced Lay-uh.
I also think it is funny that he had to tell everyone what happened to Lola. I also don't understand why they had to wait until they had a new dog to tell either. Wonder how long Leia will last.

Re: Lucy Eades: Part 10
Almost positive they (meaning joel) took the dog to the animal shelter because she was to much work. Lucy probably told the kids another story, but I would bet money on it that they willingly got rid of her. If that dog had been lost you know Lucy wouldn't have missed a beat trying to milk the situation for some cash by making a video.
Re: Lucy Eades: Part 10
wow, a 4th dog in just a few months
That is actually a disgrace. They should not have a dog.
