Own room, alone. Best place for a newborn is in the same room as mom. Whether it be a basinet, crib, or cosleeping.

She said it was his way of bonding with Oliver. Do does that mean she waits for Bryan to come home to change his diapers? Just kidding.

It's a personal preference. I like my newborns in my room with me, some choose not to. I don't think there's a right or wrong way just what works for the individual.

It is actually recommended. SIDS chances are greatly reduced when you have the baby close to mom. We might say politely it is a personal preference. But the truth is baby should be with mommy. I don't care what anyone thinks. To put your newborn in a different room is sad. And not the best parenting. Keep baby close.

Yes!!! It's stupid. If I woke my husband he would gladly do it, but why would I. So many other ways to help and bond. So many other diapers to change.

Exactly! Most men are absolutely more than willing to get up and help take care of their kids but even if I knew they would, I think it shows a great deal of respect for your partner if you just do it... I personally would be pissed about it if I were Bryan. It just doesn't even make sense to do it... It would take him longer to wake up enough to actually do it than it would take Missy to change the damn diaper... He's a newborn, he is awake A LOT. Why not let him change all the diapers before he goes to work if he wants to or let him stay up with the baby for a bit when he's not nursing, totally understandable. I seriously can't get over WAKING UP HER SLEEPING HUSBAND WHO HAS A JOB to change a freaking DIAPER. YOU HAVE ONE BABY. IT ISN'T TWINS.

I agree the baby should be in the same room as mom & dad, yes. My babies slept within in arms reach, HOWEVER, they should be in their own space. A bassinet, is perfect for new babies.

Cosleeping carries its own set of risks and mortality rates.
Cosleeping is mostly for the convience of the parents, while some cosleeping advocates believe it's for safety, statistically this not true. There are no statistics that the baby being IN your bed is best. Sharing the same room, yes, the same bed, no.

I have nothing against cosleeping, when all precautions have been taken, it wasnt for me, as I tend to be a cautious mother, I just hate it when someone like Brian (who knows it all...*insert eye roll*) starts presenting his opinion as fact. That he is the end all of parenting , and every parent that has come before him has done it wrong!

Yep! I agree with both of you ladies!!
My husband works 10 hours a day (it's the nature of a tradesmen in our province) I refused to wake him during the week for anything! I knew he WOULD get up if I asked , but I could never live with myself if he had gone to work tired and been hurt because of it.

Every weekend, either Friday or Saturday night (when he had a day off) he would take the night shift, so I could get some rest & so he could have the night shift, I guess ;)

To say he Brian needs to change the diaper to bond is... Well I disagree. He can spend time with the baby after and before work. Shuffling through a diaper change in the middle of the night for 5 minutes isn't really bonding
I would have understood if MAYBE Brian was putting the baby back to sleep, but Missy did that.

While I think Bryan waking up in the middle of the night to change a diaper is ridiculous, it seems to be something he is persistent about, so it shouldn't fall on Missy.

Her waking him up was just ridiculous . I would never do that to my boyfriend knowing that he has to get up for work and all I get to do it sit around the house all day . I mean if she was really super tired during the day just take like a 30 min - 1hr nap and get your energy back , I'm sure her mom would have loved to watch Ollie for a little bit without Missy hovering . Missy is just a snob and a brat . And she was all worried when bryan was walking around the mall with Ollie . That's Ollie's dad , not a random stranger , it wasn't like he was gonna hurt him or run off with him . I didn't really get that ..

I understand missy being overprotected of Ollie, especially after a miscarriage and stillbirth, but she's way too obsessed with hovering over whoevers holding Ollie. Like when they went to Olive Garden, Missy had that car seat cover so no random stranger touches Ollie, I mean I would do the same thing if I took out my newborn in public, but Missy was making it look like she didn't want anyone to come near Ollie.

We just don't know the facts when it comes to their relationship. If his mother is anything like my mil, and said nasty things when I got pregnant, and after he died, I can justify why Missy is the way she is. Missy may also have a dislike for her because of Bryans childhood..it's not hard to see stuff happened.

That being said, she did travel all that way to see Ollie, and I think Missy acted like a little twat the whole time. She barely let her hold him,and when she did she hovered like a hawk. She barely lets anyone hold him.

I don't feel bad for Missy being nervous when Bryan was in the movies, she has a child now and she's going to have to adapt to different situations. She called mommy and daddy to get her, which personally I thought showed her exact maturity level.

On another note,I really hate this One take Sunday shit. I believe its lazy.Youtube is your job, quit half-assing it ALREADY. As much as I hate Saccone-Jolys, I give them credit for not doing it.

They haven't even done a year, and they are already snobby, and lazy.

Having a newborn is no excuse, plenty of parents both go straight back to work.
Your absence has gone through me like a thread through a needle.Everything I do is stitched with it's colour <3

I don't really get the vibe that there's bad blood between them. I just think Missy's really socially awkward. Like, she doesn't realize how hawk-ish, as you said, she's being.

This whole family gives me weird vibes, though. There's some shit goin on behind those closed doors, I can tell you that.

Huge mistake for privacy/safety. Hey go look at out YT channel and then follow us home and rob our house.

They really need to stop saying "shay uh" butter instead of "shay". Mispronunciations are ok when you are chatting with friends, but if you are going to try to make a semi-professional blog and claim to "master" breastfeeding and things like that, take a few seconds and look up the correct pronunciation. It'll save my sanity and make you look less stupid.

*Edited to add that I am referring to the shea butter baby wash that they bought for Ollie. Bryan said it wrong in the daily vlog when they bought it and now Missy is saying it wrong in Ollie's 1 month video on her channel.

The picture of them on their wedding site, oh my. Bryan's hair is awful. Guess someone had a long-lasting scene phase. Thank god he's changed it.

I think the reason she woke him, is because he probably asked her to do so. He is away at work all day so the impression I get, is that its him asking her to wake him. that will wear off after the newness is gone...u all know what I mean by that, I hope!

Did anyone else cringe when they did that whole "one take Sunday"? Shaytards much :?

also, the breast milk drinking... why did they make such a huge fuss about it? Bryan was all *gag gag* yet it's from his own wife. it's probably weirder that they drink milk from a cow or some other animal... just my 2 cents. lol
