I did something like that once when I was younger, I kicked a stone gargoyle while having a tantrum when my mom went with my aunt to the hospital because she couldn't get something or other out of her ear (my aunt was and is crazy) and I didn't want to stay with my dad. They sat in the ER for hours just so my aunt could get whatever was in her ear out there in the ER and I was the one who sustained the injury (my own fault) bad enough my toenail came off later. And all's I can say about toe injuries is OUCH! Hope it heals well Betty

Only 6 stitches. Said it probably could have used a couple more but she didn't want to add too much tension since it is already a spot that is hard to keep immobilized - especially as a single mom of a 3rd grader and a toddler. Hurts soooo bad. My boyfriend came over and took care of me last night so I could stay off my feet for awhile. It has been impossible for me to keep it up so it was much needed. My foot is so freaking swollen! The hospital told me to take up to 800 mg of ibuprofen Every 6 hrs, bactrim twice a day, and norcos every 6 hrs. When I'm out of norco, I start taking tramadol every 6 hrs instead for pain.

Well yesterday I went to get my stitches taken out. 3 of them had come out on their own. The stitched part looks okay to them though it started trying to open again when they took the stitches out. Between my toes isn't getting enough air so I'm under orders to stay off my feet instead of just telling me to try to take it easy. They put steristrips on my incision and were hoping that they would hold for about 5 days but one came off already...
