Re: LumpsAlongTheWay Part 7
They drive me crazy, I do more in a day than they do in a week (and i'm disabled) but I still get out there and volunteer! I don't understand this family, today in the vlog Bryan said "missy's video will be up later, she had a rough time getting Ollie to sleep" I guarantee she didn't do anything all day, they stopped cloth diapering, he stopped working, she stopped volunteering and stopped yoga, they don't cook at home! Will Bryan ever understand that he won't be Shaycarl? They are pretty much the exact opposite of the Shaytards.. BTW Hi everyone, I am new (ish) to the board, I joined awhile ago but got sick.

It's funny cause I'm sure that Bryan doesn't love anyone more than himself... He makes it seem that way anyway.nelliemay wrote:Oh Gosh, He quoted shay, "the meaning of life is loving someone more than you love yourself" man he is so desperate to be friends with him.

I think it's so funny how he tries to just get all deep and meaningful with his viewers and be philosophical and he just fails at it completely. Someone go to today's vlog and count how many times he says LIKE when he is in the car talking. I had to click off because it was so irritating.

Re: LumpsAlongTheWay Part 7
I just did some investigation into youtube partnership and got a clearer picture of how much these yt vloggers make by doing videos. I'm kind of revolted. It's so unfair that I work my butt off making a meager income and these people (and the other yt vloggers) make relative buttloads of money taking videos of themselves blathering about parenting (as if they know so much) and shopping at walmart or eating, eating, eating. This world is so messed up. Why do people even bother getting up and going to work every day when other people get to make money by making a spectacle of themselves and making asinine videos about NOTHING! Here I am up at 5 am to clean, cook, and plan for the day before working till 9 tonight. I'm a chump.

I don't want this to come across as a personal attack, because these types of comments are made by lots of people. But I don't get it. the world's unfair. some ppl are born with trust funds while others are born into poverty and no matter how hard they work they can't break the cycle. Weath is not indicative of hard work. While I understand your frustration, I don't think its worth getting upset about. People have to work because not everyone has a silver spoon feeding them.
And while YouTube can be lucrative, I don't blame youtubers for cashing in. Missy and Bryan may do a crappy job, but they have put some effort into their channels. I really don't see how youtubers are any worse than your average reality tv train wreck. Take the teen moms. Most of them made bank while being idiots who did not have it together.
However. Im sure you have a life worth more than missy and bryan. It sounds like you are busy and have accomplished things and aren't freeloading off your parents. Plus I I doubt you have a forum dedicated to calling you fat and criticizing your hair everyday. While criticism is the price of exposure, some people value their privacy more than the YouTube cash cow.

Re: LumpsAlongTheWay Part 7
You make good points and thanks for the bit of encouragement there. It just gets tiring working 8-12 hr days to make in a month (on one of my four jobs) what it seems they can make in a day. I agree that there are social inequalities. Jeez, my life is a cakewalk compared to people in other parts of the world and even in this country. Life is absolutely unfair, but should we condone socioeconomic inequities? A few days ago, I posted about how Missy and Bryan should sell those cloth diapers they aren't using and another poster corrected me by saying they should give them away to a needy family. That's exactly right. I know it's unrealistic to tear down the entire institution of Youtube just because some people take advantage, but maybe if people were to give as much as they take, the world wouldn't be such an ugly place. I used to watch YT videos as something mindless to keep my mind of worries and de-stress from the busy day, but nowadays it just frustrates me watching people do hauls for junk they buy when I sacrifice so much to save a dime and I'm not nearly as poor as so many people in my own neighborhood. I guess I should just stop watching if I don't like it, but easier said than done as I'm sure some people on this thread would understand. Now I go off to my second job.kelsiejumper wrote:springsahm wrote:I just did some investigation into youtube partnership and got a clearer picture of how much these yt vloggers make by doing videos. To get partnered and to actually make a decent living off of youtube, you have to work hard. Believe it or not but filming, editing, rendering, uploading, adding annotations, editing intros, channel art, social media. It is a lot of work, sure it is the easier type of work but it is still work and time consuming.

Re: LumpsAlongTheWay Part 7
I am LOVING the part in Bryan's new video with Emily where they want her daughter to wave to the camera/be on camera and she's all pouty and like "No."
I'm kind of secretly but not so secretly hoping Ollie and their future kids do the same thing.

I don't know.. If the camera in his face everyday is all he knows, then he is not going to know what it's like to not have the camera in his face, and he will probably grow up thinking everyone has a camera in their face 24/7.

I don't dislike them, but I definitely liked them more in the beginning. They were super friendly when I met them so that didn't really have an affect on my opinion of them.mommyluvv wrote:nevermind. lol. i saw some of your other posts. my apologies.. so how did you go from liking them, to joining us? lol
Re: LumpsAlongTheWay Part 7
So Shay has stopped vlogging while driving and so has the Nive nulls. Lets see how long it takes the lazy lumps to jump on the bandwagon. Lol
