Re: TeenMummy94
I wish the minions would just shut the you know what up!! The girl is still young and I'm pretty sure she may not be ready for another child. It annoys me to the core when they pretty much push these girls to have another child. I'm glad she's deciding to wait. Good job Jemma

Re: TeenMummy94
I..think the whole thing is a bit pointless, no one outside herself can even have an opinion on what she SHOULD do, or not. It would not be reckless to have another, but she made a darn sensible choice to wait it out.
Also, about her last video, people giving her crap about dropping out etc.

again, it depends on the situation. Certainly it's not advisable for everyone to make such a drastic decision if you're not 100% convinced. But a harsh truth is:

If you have wasted your time writing essays and trying be a straight A student, it really does suck to be you. It is about time someone explains to you that C students run the world. While you were studying, they were strategizing how to take over the world. We no longer live in a world where being book smart helps you, but rather having the entrepreneurial intuition gives you the advantage and upper hand. I just noticed how dark are Jemma's eyebrows! Is that her natural hair colour?

Re: TeenMummy94
I admit that my first impression of Jemma was wrong. She is probably one of the best teen Mums on YT, and it looks like she has a good head on her shoulders. I'm also glad they decided to hold off on baby #2, it was a mature decision and shows that she is light years ahead of some other teens on YT that I see.

Re: TeenMummy94
Are you serious? So just because she had her son accidentally as a teenager she doesn't have the right of every other married woman to stay home with her child? That is an idiotic thing to say in my opinion, age isn't what determines if you can be a SAHM. Your financial situation determines that, and from the looks of it she has every right to stay home with her son. A lot of children aren't planned, even married older women get surprise positives. Does this mean that every woman who gets pregnant without trying to is a terrible parent and shouldn't TTC, or just the young moms?chanellejo wrote:It's disgusting how people can encourage teeangers to get pregnant. Yeah, she's stable, whatever. Their child was not planned so of course they're making the best out of their situation, but ttcing soon? This is fucking stupid. And for adults to encourage her...... No, just no.
I don't care about your excuses such as 'oh she's financially stable, she is mature, she is married'.
Kids these days think that if they accidentally get pregnant they're automatically mature enough to ttc like a grown ass woman. Grow up!
It would've been mature of her to remain a mother of one for a long time, get her education, get a job and not sit on her ass everyday because you know 'my husband makes enough money'. And I'm saying this after her child is older.
What is this world coming to?
Terrible parenting, terrible advices if there are any...
This is just offensive, even to older women who are SAHM.

Re: TeenMummy94
I agree with TinyDancer, not every wife (young or not) needs to be out working if there spouse makes enough money to support the household. Of course, if there financial strains, (or perhaps a desire for a higher lifestyle) a wife (or husbands if they are SAHDs) should try and bring in the rest of the money needed for the household, but, a huge reality is that daycare can easily cancel out the efforts of bringing in those funds. If you can bring in 50% above daycare costs, go out there and work. I think the bigger priority should be an education or certifications (like the casino, bar, and other certs/licenses Jemma has) that way should something happen to the marriage then the mother can easily jump into the work force to provide for the child.

Re: TeenMummy94
You missed the point, TinyDancer. I didn't say that just because she had her son accidentally as a teenager she doesn't have the right to stay at home with her child.
She is 19, nothing is certain. Nothing is certain at 40, let alone when you're a teenager and married just because you got pregnant. I didn't say she should get a job right now, her son is still too young.
She has no education, she thinks that if she's able to work in a casino or a bar is perfectly fine, well I dunno... but to me, she is nothing but an immature little girl if she thinks this is how life works. "Oh my husband works and he makes enough money and even if I'm a highschool dropout, in Australia I can still work somewhere".
What a shame... girls have no dignity these days. I'm sorry, that's just my opinion. We cannot sit behind our husbands or boyfriends. No wonder why so many teenage girls get pregnant on purpose and expect their boyfriends/husbands to "raise" them.

I like Jemma too. She may swear a bit too much for me. But she means well and is a great mom. So glad she's holding off on TTC. My boys are 22 months apart. It's hard. I couldn't image getting pregnant before my son was a year old.

CONGRATS baby number 2 already!
I speak the truth, if that makes me a bitch then so be it.
Re: TeenMummy94
Yeah I know I was shocked. But Ollie will be two when number two rocks up so it can't be all that bad.
In the name of the moon, I shall gossip about you.

Re: TeenMummy94
This is one teen mum I'm actually happy to see with baby number two. They are financially stable (so it seems to me anyways) and are happy. She is about her family before YouTube. I've always liked/loved her and her fam. She is just a cute good mum to me.
Congrats Ollie and family! Another cute addition. I hope she has a girl .

Re: TeenMummy94
I have sort of a soft spot for Jemma, because I'll be honest, when I watched her pregnancy vlogs I thought she was a total mess. I thought for sure that motherhood would knock her on her ass, and that she wouldn't be able to handle it. I was very surprised to see her get married, move out on her own, manage a home and a family and that she was surprisingly well put together in her vlogs after she had her baby. It's almost as if a baby did mature her. Out of all of the teen mom vloggers, I think she is one of the few who come off as responsible, loving parents. That doesn't mean I think she should be ttc, but I'm less concerned about their choice to ttc than I would be about many other teens ttc.

I like Jemma too. I was a little surprised that they were TTC, but really, they have it under control. I think she's one of the few who have actually matured while dealing with becoming a teen mom. She doesn't seem like the type to keep having kids either, and a 2 year gap is quite appropriate for their circumstances. I figure they might as well get it out of the way if this is their last one. They seem stable.
