She already kind of screwed that up when she made the first video that shot her into that weird youtube stardom.gypsophila wrote:Ah, ok. She's 16 then. I don't think she should go on Dr. Phil. I think it would ruin her life in a way. It would be negative attention. Don't want to see her down the line in some reality show rehab where her sudden fame then drop to normal destroyed her life. You know? Would rather see her finish school, go to college and have a real career.
Sierra Watts?
Re: Sierra Watts?
In the name of the moon, I shall gossip about you.
Re: Sierra Watts?
Why did not her parents monitor her youtube and twitter and instagram accounts? They took her phone and grounded her, but they did not log into anything? They did not make her delete stuff when she over-shared?
Pre-baby, Sierra probably needed adhd meds and more structured extracurriculars: sports, music lessons, foreign language tutoring, church, driving lessons. That plis homework and tutoring for sat/act tests greatly reduces teen party time.
Post-baby, iono what the problem is.
Maybe Missouri parents are stupid.

Fellow Missourian here: Missouri parents aren't stupid lol what a ridiculous statement.
Re: Sierra Watts?
Maybe Sierra is acting out because she had to give up her son and this is her coping mechanism.
Re: Sierra Watts?
My understanding of the adoption was because she didnt want to give up her teenage years. Her mom turned the basement into a house and she took parenting classes and suddenly she went nope I don't want to be a mom I wanna party so she did adoption.whatsername_ wrote:Maybe Sierra is acting out because she had to give up her son and this is her coping mechanism.

Re: Sierra Watts?
Well, her mom had to screw Sierra's window shut **after** Kayden was delivered. The fun HS party resumed after Kayden joined his new adoptive family.
Boardind school dorms will hardly contain SW. I know from experience that 15 year old girls in dorms are expected to police themselves largely. No paid resident assistant cares about a boarder as much as her parents care. No RA will stand on the porch with a shotgun to ward off boys and prowlers. Won't screw down the windows. Won't nag about grades.
Not. Even. Close. u_u
Boarding school (college prep) is competitive. Sink or swim. Sierra can barely study between crying jags. Good luck to her...

Regardless of why she did it. She did, and at 15 I cannot imagine how it would feel.
I'm almost 20 and I would be devastated and would probably act out too.
My point was that Sierra is a child. She did something tha no child should have to.
I highly doubt that she made this decision all by herself. And no, I'm not saying she was forced.
I believe her behavior is directly related to her giving up her son.

Re: Sierra Watts?
Result of her own choices or not, that situation is hard and delicate for anyone to handle. Not to mention a post-partum troubled post-adoption 16 yr old.
I think that as human beings, when we decide to do something based on a rational decision (like giving the baby for adoption..) and not for an emotional reason (you don't want to part from the thing/person that "belongs" to you, it's always incredibly hard.
Like you're forcing your nature. I'm not saying that adoption is not natural, but people downplay way too much the lond term outcome of giving a baby up.
You can't expect her to be jolly after that experience.
It was not like popping a zit. It's a life altering decision. Even when it's done for good reasons and because it's the best for the baby.

Re: Sierra Watts?
I think she might have been talked into the adoption, but ultimately, it was her choice. It seems like a pretty open adoption. Or is that harder on the mother? I'm not sure to be honest. It seems like it would be easier, but maybe it's not, seeing the baby a lot and not raising him. If she feels a massive void, she'll get pregnant again. We've seen that over and over with YT moms. I hope she just stays out of sight, and goes on with her life.

Re: Sierra Watts?
I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up pregnant again within the next two years.
I really can't imagine what it would be like to give a child up for adoption at the age of 15, especially when all the other YouTube teenage moms make raising a baby look so glamorous. I feel like most girls choose to keep their baby, even though I don't think any 16-year-old should be raising a baby, unless that 16-year-old happens to be financially independent somehow. She probably feels relief that she doesn't have the responsibility while at the same time feeling guilty and having a lot of "what if" moments.

Re: Sierra Watts?
Even the teen parents of Candace's first baby (ouradoptionoption) didn't stay together and each of them got pregnant within a year or 2 from giving up the first child.gypsophila wrote:I think she might have been talked into the adoption, but ultimately, it was her choice. Maybe it was harder than they expected.
And they gave up all the things that they didn't want to give up with the 1st. The guy went into the military and the girl (with other boyfriend) quit college.

Re: Sierra Watts?
Do you have to be friends with her to see that? She has about five different Facebook profiles and I can't see any posts on any of them.
Re: Sierra Watts?
She posted an update youtube vid. SW seems altered in some way. I am assuming Rx psych meds are part of her treatment.
Whatever meds they put Sierra on have her talking in a lower register with an odd, punchy, clipped, staccato delivery. It is kinda robotic.
SW is not so emotionally vulnerable anymore? Maybe she is just reciting cliches from therapy. I hope NOW she can focus on her edu and college prep (instead of boys and babies).

Re: Sierra Watts?
I also noticed she seems medicated or like she was reading a script. Her whole situation seems off to me.
