Bumsalongtheway Part 10
Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
The new house is nice, but it is so massive! I guess the 5 bedrooms would make sense if they were buying it and planning to live there 10 plus years. They are going to be paying for two rooms they never use currently and I'm doubting Bryan will ever actually use his office.
It boggles my mind how they can afford all of this. A 5 bedroom house, all brand new stuff for the house (including a washer and dryer), constant eating out, and crappy clothes for lookbooks. Either they have wayyy over extended themselves or they are much better at managing their money they we all think and somehow have a ton of it.

Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
I get they are mildly successful on YT but, shit, living in California is already super expensive. How can they afford that? Even if it is only $2,000/month (I say "only" because that is a lot of house/pool for only $2,000 in Cali) I guess it depends on what area it's located in. But still... if I were them, I would not feel comfortable signing up for that hefty of a rent payment. They must have some kind of safety-net saved up. The numbers just aren't adding up. Even if they do make what calculations put as their "max" salary based on views, (~$100,000/year) $2,000 times twelve is $24,000/year - that's 1/4 of their max salary. And that's before taxes! Granted, they probably write off their rent as a business expense. But still... that's a lot of money for people who make shitty videos for a living.
Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
The house is really nice but why would you need 5 bedrooms? Maybe Missys bro will be moving in?
I feel like they are in over their heads with this house, the electricity bill will be crazy with the pool.
Like someone said above maybe they are good at managing their money idk.
but I can just see it now Missy complaining about having to clean the whole house, and laundry. Oh and her family always being over to watch Ollie.

5 bedrooms?! I think I am actually going to have to watch that video. Yeah, either they are better budgeting than we think or WAY in over their heads. I just don't see how they can afford that. If they are better off than we think part of me wonders in Bryan reports all their income when doing taxes...

House is nice. Too big for me. And for them. Maybe they are shooting for a multiple birth. Wouldn't that be a subscriber explosion.
I had to zillow houses in their area and I have no idea how they afford that house. Like some of you said the electric bill alone would kill most people. And I have no idea how they will afford to furnish it. I've lived in my 1200 sq ft apt for 3 years and we still have two nearly empty rooms.
At least Bryan acknowledged how blessed they were.

5 bedrooms and a pool? Yeesh lol. Where I'm at in Canada, 2 bedrooms are running at 1300-1600 and that's for a pretty shitty place, even apartments are around that price. Have fun cleaning that entire house when you bitch about laundry everyday.
Your absence has gone through me like a thread through a needle.Everything I do is stitched with it's colour
Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
It's just stupid to have 5 bedrooms. They have no friends and their family lives close so why would they be staying over. Bryan only has his mom and sister really who never come down much anyway. It's just stupid. real life is probably going to really kick them in the ass.
Was it just me because I swore the side of the pool and by the little ledge in the pool looked GREEN. Am I seeing things? Because if not, that's nasty.

Its not just you. It looks green to me too! I can't wait for them to get their first electric bill. There is a reason we don't heat our pool at our vacation house... it costs an arm and a leg!

Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
How can they write their rent off for taxes??? They have to live somewhere just like everyone else. No matter if they have a business at home or not.
Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
Originally I thought they had said that on of their must haves was a nice grass area for the dog and ollie. These two idiots are so selfish and only care about how looking big time for their viewers.
Makes me nervous that there is no gate around the pool too.
Also, I have worked in bookkeeping/ accounting for year. Just because you can write something off doesn't mean you get that total amount back on your taxes. Youtubers are independent contractors so anything you use for your job you can write off. The shaytards talked about it in a vlog a few weeks back.

Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
If you use your home as a part of your business, you can write it off. They use their home for a lot of things - filming, editing, storing things for their videos, etc. Writing it off doesn't mean they live for free or anything. It just means that let's say they make $100,000 in a year. If they paid in $24,000 in rent and were able to write all of it off, then their total income would only be $76,000 instead of $100,000. This puts them into a lower tax bracket which means they pay less in taxes. The difference can mean a few more thousand dollars in their pockets come tax-time, but it definitely does not mean they get to live for free. Independent contractors/small businesses can write off things just like a large corporation can. It makes sense, business-wise, that they would write off their rent. However, if they bought a home, it gets a lot messier when it comes to writing it off - it can actually be very expensive if you write off your mortgage and then go to sell your house. It might actually be more beneficial for them to continue renting while vlogging. That may be why they decided to get a 5 bedroom house. They may plan on keeping this as their house for quite some time.shortstop wrote:How can they write their rent off for taxes??? They have to live somewhere just like everyone else. Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
wow they are such wasters. bryan will probably use the office - i do not doubt he spends a decent amount of time editing - but that is ALL he does besides eat and play video games. they probably have never had the word "savings" cross their mind. if i was making money on youtube i would be SAVING. i get the occasional splurge but they just throw shit to the wind.

ALSO I feel like they re leaving missys parents high and dry. they obviously had the biggest and nicest bedroom in that house because they paid the most - now they are just saying peace out.

Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
um and who wants to bet the pool goes to shit in a few weeks because they dont care for it.. can yo utell i am all kinds of mad today
Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
I am 90% sure they are going into dept, unless there has been a different source of income they have told anyone about.
Wouldn't full screen get a % of their income also?
They eat out every day, they go on numerous amounts of holidays, numerous trips to target, Ollies birthday, a morning at Disney Land, Brand new TV's, PlayStation etc..
Missy's look book is horrible. I really think she needs a good quality bra. Unless you are a size 0 tights should only be worn with tops that cover your bum/crotch. I would have rather seen a pair of converse with the owl outfit ... I don't think wedges work with it.
The bandage looking headband is just awful!
Did anyone else notice that the famous bow was missing!
I can't help but think shes trying to pull off the Bethany Mota look?

Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 10
If I recall correctly, you can only write off a portion of your house if you work from home, but you have to have a dedicated space that is used for work and only work - ie can't double as a bedroom or even play video games in there. I could be wrong, though, so don't take my word for itMaudeLebowski wrote: If you use your home as a part of your business, you can write it off.
