Plus 1 Please
Re: Plus 1 Please
I don't disagree that it was perhaps not the best time to buy a new puppy when another baby was imminent.
However, speaking as someone who lost a beloved dog 8 years ago, in hindsight it would have been easier for us to get a new dog straight away. We think out dog was baited so we wanted to wait a while before putting a puppy into our garden in case any of the poison was still hanging around, buried by our dog or under the house etc.
Well....long story short, a while turned into a year, a year turned into 2 years.....and here we are at 8 years still debating back and forth on it. Quite frankly, my husband and I now feel too ....well not old exactly but something along those lines.....to train a new puppy. Our baby days are behind us, you know? Our kids are verging on independence and I now love being able to just leave the house without having to check that a dog has everything it needs. Not to mention dealing with the neighbours over barking and picking up the shit. Ugh...
Getting a new puppy straight away also helps ease the heart ache of mourning the death of the old dog. They were very attached to Roxie, her death would have left a huge hole in their life. I understand why they wanted another dog straight away.

Yes. But it hasn't been seen since. Hopefully they have it. But honestly animals have personalities. Nothing wrong with getting a dog and deciding he wasn't a good fit. If they found a new home and did it responsibly. And I swear if someone compares it to adopting a child I will lose it. lol

Re: Plus 1 Please
Once my cats bite the dust I AM DONE WITH ANIMALS! I love them(I'm gonna sound so heartless lol) but hate the added responsibility! The extra $$ to feed them could go to my kids, or myself.
They were fine before my kids but now I'm like nah, we will be pet free until my kids are teens and they can work and pay for their needs if they want pets. They can also take them when they move out.... I'm done.

We got a kitten a few months ago. He thinks he is Tigger. He hops and jumps and ruined my curtains. He is such an ass in the morning.. I love him. He fits in. Sassy and weird. He is gentle and loving. We had a dog a long time ago. She grew up to hate kids. She bit at the girls friends and would get jealous of my kids. We loved her but found her a good home with retired parents in a childless home. She is spoiled and happy.

I am just watching her 5 things No one told me video. Is it just me or does she sound like an idiot? You mean to tell me that no family/friends/Dr.s told her that she will bleed for weeks postpartum? She didn't know she would't be back in her pre-pregnancy jeans immediately??? She was surprised that her boobs leaked, What did she think nursing pads were for? She must have not read any pregnancy books or taken any childbirth classes because most would cover these kinds of things. Unbelievable!
Re: Plus 1 Please
She was a no it all when pregnant with Nolan. She got a rude awakening. She didn't want a swing for him. She was going to wear him all the time. Her mom bought her one a few months after. She was in love with it and got "so much done". Duh. lol
She bitched about her body from the second she got home. It was annoying.

Re: Plus 1 Please
I'm pretty sure she didn't mean back in her pre-preg jeans immediately. From my own experience, I had no idea that I would still actually look pregnant after giving birth. Sure, I didn't expect to be flat, but I sure as hell didn't expect a second trimester belly, either. As for the leaking boobs, once again, I can sympathise. Yes, from everything I read, I expected 'some leaking'. What I genuinely didn't expect was the honest to god projectile spraying (excuse the TMI) of milk, or absolutely soaked bras every few hours. I knew there would be bleeding, but not relatively large clots passing uncomfortably through (compared to periods). Again, sorry if TMI. In my experience, books and childbirth classes touch on each of the things she mentioned, but I think the point was that they don't mention how extreme each one can be! And I'm not defending Kelsey as such, just the mothers, like myself, who were honestly overwhelmed by these things, and I hope her video helps some women feel a little more prepared outside the GENERIC advice of books and childbirth classes...
On the up side, they all make for a good laugh afterwards... Eventually!!!

I think we knew but to know and experience is different. I think I read more about baby than me.
And yes she came home after Nolan really upset about her body and clothes. A family member said she still looked pregnant and she was devastated. I wonder why some people seem to go down quick an others not.

Lol, my son was born 3 days before Christmas. I was expecting to check out of hospital Christmas morning and go to my parents in law for Christmas lunch. I took a beautiful summer dress that had fit me days before to wear. Hubby came to pick me up to find me in fits of tears trying to squeeze my ginormous milk heavy boobs into the dress. Son had been checked into NICU due to severe jaundice and not waking for 10 hours to feed. Instead I spent Christmas Day attached to a breast pump and trying to force feed a reluctant baby to avoid him requiring a blood transfusion.
Don't fit into pre-pregnancy jeans the week following birth? Lol, okay.

I think it's safe to say that the dog is gone. In her most recent DITL (Grocery shopping buddy) there is no mention of the dog and you don't see her either. Also, I wasn't thrilled that she showed Nolen in the tub. She got very close to showing private parts and I just think children should never be shown on the internet while they're bathing.
Re: Plus 1 Please
Seriously, give the kid a banana if he wants one! At least he's asking for fruit and not candy or other crap. does anyone else think Nolen should be trying to dress himself at this age? At least putting his own pants on? Is she not potty training him yet?
