beingmommywithstyle
Oh, my gosh, I seriously cannot stand this woman! First of all, she has two daughters, Bella is 3 and Natalie is almost 2. In her most recent video, her youngest Natalie is throwing a temper tantrum, and instead of ignoring it like you're supposed to do, she is full on recording it and laughing at her! Great parenting, right? I don't know how they screwed up Natalie, because Bella is so sweet and nice. Natalie is always grumpy, throwing tantrums and annoyed. I also like how she is trying to lose weight (which I have nothing against, I'm glad she's taking the initiative) but in her grocery hauls, all she buys is crap!
She also spends wayy to much on expensive, Etsy custom clothes for her daughters. She bought a ton of stuff for when they go to Disney World, yet they've already grown out of half the stuff, so she's just buying more. She's obsessed with Gymboree and apparently needs to stock up on collections for years to come.
What does everyone else think about her?

I agree. She feeds her family total crap. All she buys is frozen meals. She also seems to spend heaps of money for being a sahm buying Louis Vuitton bags and Tiffany jewelry all the time but if they can afford it and the kids are not missing out because of it that doesn't really bother me. What I don't like is room time thing. Locking your children in a room for an hour at a time everyday just so you can put makeup on just seems wrong to me. I used to really like her but the more I watch her the more she annoys me and her blogs are starting to get boring as its the same thing all the time

Re: beingmommywithstyle
I like her but her Preschool at Home is starting to annoy me. Doing worksheets and making age inappropriate crafts is NOT school. Poor Natalie is really losing out on this one because all of the activities are geared towards Bella's age and Natalie is just along for the ride. She's missing a great opportunity to teach Natalie. How about teach letter sounds/names, shapes, etc before you give a young two year old a crayon and expect her to learn to write a letter? Worksheets are not the way to teach a young toddler. Crafts should be open ended. And does Bella even need this "preschool at home" anymore? she goes to an actual preschool! Focus on Natalie and let Bella be "along for the ride" if you can't figure out how to meet their individual needs.
Re: beingmommywithstyle
What is she on? Just put on a DITL while cooking. I am convinced she is on some sort of mommy crack. She doesn't take a breath.
Re: beingmommywithstyle
I think that Natalie has some type of sensory processing disorder. She has spoken about it in past videos but nothing recently. Bella definitely seems like the favourite in that household though!! I agree that Natalie deserves more activities that are focused on her
Re: beingmommywithstyle
and this may be really judgemental but the one thing that really gets to me about this women is the amount of frozen 'ready meals' he feeds her family when she is home every day!! Sometimes they eat frozen meals 3 or 4 times a week!

Re: beingmommywithstyle
I think Natalie has more than just processing disorder serious to see if she updates soon . This lady is very materialistic designer handbags & jewelry an entire room dedicated to purses. She's also very obsessive with the girls clothing & toys spends way too much on the girls my opinion. Why does a two-year-old need hundreds of dollars in American girl dolls!

Re: beingmommywithstyle
Very obsessive. She has a shopping addiction. Hehe, I would love a room devoted to purses though.
And who does a doll house review? So many pointless reviews.

I thought the Target brand doll high chair/swing review was stupid! Why not just make one video & quickly state toddler/preschool favorites we don't need a 10 min video on eat item!

Re: beingmommywithstyle
Her new-ish video about weightloss reminds me of how many youtube moms i'[ve seen lately who are so obsessed with their food and calorie counts and dieting. Especially so many with little girls. It worries me for the future of their little girls with moms so focused on counting calories and weightloss. I wish that they could present food in a healthy way for their children. And anyone (who doesn't have some kind of special medical condition) who thinks restricting calories to 900 a day is a good idea/goal is not dieting they're borderline eating disordered.

Re: beingmommywithstyle
What do you guys think about her "My Husband Hates YouTube" video? She said she was going to have to figure out a new way of making videos because her husbands hates the amount of time she spends editing. What really disturbed me was when she said he kept harping on the fact that they made an agreement that she wouldn't work while the girls were home. Ebb and flow is normal in life, people change their minds about things. If Di wants to consider YouTube a career, that is her right. Her husband just went on and on about how he doesn't want her making money and wants to be the sole breadwinner. He even got angry when she asked if she could take a picture of the family "for work". I think he sounds like an abusive jackass and I would put him in check asap if he were my husband. In the comments section, someone asked why he couldn't respect her need for a hobby when he is allowed to do stuff and she said, "that's just the way he is--very demanding and bossy."
I would never let my husband dictate what I could or couldn't do, or put restrictions on my earning potential/possibilities. Unless she and her husband signed a notarized contract, she is allowed to change her mind. She could go out and get a regular full time job today if she wanted and there isn't a damn thing he could do to stop her. She tried to sound upbeat about it, but her eyes looked so sad and she kept doing that obnoxious, fake laugh like she always does.
Does anyone else hate her laugh as much as I do? I also hate when she asks her girls questions all the time: "Are you eating that banana?" (as the child puts a banana in her mouth, just as an example) As soon as child puts food in her mouth "Is that yummy?" Let the kid digest first! This isn't just a criticism of her, I hate it when any parent does that. It just seems condescending to me.

I think his reasoning is what makes it not okay. If he didn't want her showing him for privacy reasons, I could respect that. If he didn't want the kids shown for safety reasons, I could see his point there also. But his reasoning just sounds controlling to me :/

Re: beingmommywithstyle
I've been watching her for a long time. I think she really loves her girls, but she has a shopping addiction. Her grocery hauls are the worst, and the processed food she buys is really bad. She'll spend thousands on Disney customs, but she won't splurge for nutritious foods for her family.
Do you guys think she favors Bella over Natalie? Some commenters have brought that up in the past, and sometimes I feel like it could be true a little.

Re: beingmommywithstyle
At least she buys produce lol. I do notice she likes frozen meals. So true about the shopping addiction! Have you seen her designer handbag channel?
Something I noticed is that not that long ago she purged lots of Fisher-Price toys & her reasoning was the children outgrew them. Then recently she posted an expensive new toy haul with very similar toys. Is a Fisher-Price Farm not age appropriate for a toddler & preschooler? She donated OVER $300 worth of almost new toys. It's great she donated but I would have sold it to pay for the new stuff.
Husband must make good money because all three of those girls are spoiled. If those little girls take after Mom that man's going to go broke.
Any update on Natalie development wise? I haven't noticed anything but I don't watch every vlog either. Thought I could've missed something less formal. If NOT I hope she makes an update video soon. I'm curious about that. Last I knew they were in limbo about a diagnosis. Correct me if I'm wrong but does Bella also have speech issues?
A little Jealous of her Scentsy collection! Hehe

Re: beingmommywithstyle
I didn't understand why she donated the Little People castle or animal thing either. My daughters still play with Little People and they're older than Bella & Natalie.
As far as Natalie's diagnosis I believe she had ear problems causing most of her speech delay. She had ear tubes put in, and her speech has improved a lot. Diana mentioned she had a sensory processing disorder as well, but she hasn't given an update on that.
Bella is very smart, and she learned to read early. I noticed she had trouble writing though, and she may have a lisp? It's hard to tell.
I started watching her handbag channel before she really even started her mommy channel. Now that channel has grown while her original channel has stagnated. I just wonder how the girls will be affected by this in the future. She has increasingly made more and more vlog type videos with the girls.

Re: beingmommywithstyle
I do not think she favors one girl over the other. I feel like each girl has their special thing about them in her eyes and I think most parents feel that way about their kids..I think she buys the girls wayyyyy too much clothes..even though most are for Bella but thats smart because Natalie doesn't need many new clothes she has Bella's ...however I really wish she would stop buying mostly new lol and I wish I could afford one custom dress for my daughter lol but if they have it..why not? I do think she should had saved the Fisher price house for Christmas for a duel gift..but again She is not me... I think she is a wonderful mom either way..Bella is so smart and Natalie is so adorable n she has blossomed over the last year..

Re: beingmommywithstyle
I rolled my eyes so hard when she said she might have to start buying duplicate outfits of the American Girl Doll clothes, since she didn't know if Bella and Natalie could share them. What a freaking waste of money. How about teaching your kids to share! If your five and three year old have problems sharing something as simple as doll clothes, maybe you should be working on that instead of giving into them. Me and my sister both had the AG dolls growing up and we had to share the clothes. My parents didn't buy us duplicates. And is she seriously thinking about giving the dolls to them as a moving present? They are FIVE AND THREE. It's not like they're leaving their friends and I doubt they care really. She buys way too much crap for them.
