Sure I come here every so often to see what's new. It's why we're all here isn't it? But I've honestly been so busy working and furthering my career that I really haven't even had time to think about this place. But last night when my mind was racing and I couldn't sleep, it was a good opportunity to peek in.

Bottom line- 2 years ago I did something incredibly wrong and stupid. Since then I never have and never will do anything like that ever again. Not a single one of you can say every decision you've made is perfect and you've never made a bad one. The important thing is to learn from it, which clearly I have. That's all anyone can do.
I'm not allyshia. I would never wish ill on anyone here. Truth be told, I would be perfectly happy to carry on pleasant conversations with everyone here without holding a grudge or bringing up the past. I have too many blessings in my life to dwell on the things that bring my spirits down. I have a husband who loves me unconditionally, a daughter who is blossoming before me every day, a home in the works, and a career I will have until I retire. I know there are people here who have those things too and feel just as blessed. Why can't we all just be civil and get along? Life is too short.
Whew... That turned into something much longer than j intended!

Yet instead of spending time with your "blessed" family on a holiday, you're on here...

I suppose you don't feel blessed and grateful for your family either, seeing as how you're on here too? My family is in bed. Turkey and football have great sedative qualities! Also, nurses and nursing assistants keep the same hours. I really dislike when people say "just a nursing assistant". RN's very rarely will take the time to change you, bathe you, feed you, or even stop and chat with you. What they know is from a chart. What we know is from getting to know you. It's so much more than what people think it is.

You also don't have to feel grateful for your family just on a holiday. I hate that argument of "Why are you on here because of XYZ?!?" It's just so childish. We are all here for the same reason. There is no right or wrong time.

Mrsnesbitt- Thanks =) I honestly try to get along with everyone. All I've ever done here is call things like I see them, even if my opinion is in the minority. Being like that doesn't always make you popular, but you stay true to yourself.

For the record Ashley, you were never disliked for "calling things as [you] see them". It wasn't your minority opinion that made you unpopular.

I think it was more along the lines of dishonesty and disloyalty. Telling whopping big lies in order to get sympathy and to make your life seem either exciting or tragic, depending on the day. Betraying people who considered you a friend. Being a shallow, manipulative bitch.

Had dinner and desert at two different houses and made it in and out of Khol's in an hour, saving over $300.

Thing is, I have tons of respect for Nursing assistant. They seriously helped my grandma out a lot. But so did the RNs and the doctors, the doctors moreso because they were the doctors. My cousin is a nursing assistant but she's never acted as stuck up as Ashley. She knows she's no getre than the rest.

They have a great grasp on many science topics and can go on with that 4 year degree to become a specialist in their field. Sorry, but NA does not offer you a bachelors degree. I had many nursing students at my first university in my science classes and Ashley, I am sorry, but there is no way you had to learn the things we learned in those classes. Your training for NA was the same amount of time we spent in just ONE of those classes in a single semester, maybe even half of the semester.

Don't make an ass out of yourself by bashing nurses. They spend long years studying for what they study.

I know what they study ORN. Because I am in nursing school. Start back in January. My comment wasn't about what nurses have to learn. It was about how much time they actually spend with a patient. At least where I work, as a NA, I spend much more time with my patients than the RN's do. And that's fine. They typically have a higher patient ratio. I'm not bashing nurses, because in the next 2 years, I will be one.
