For those who want to listen to it with out giving him money, I found a good chunk of it on youtube (I don't think it's the whole song though) better the mirrors at least!

OK this is the first time i have herd this much of the song as I refuse to buy it. First impressions:

1. His singing isn't horrible but it isn't breath taking.
2. I don't know if it's just because I live in another country with a different accent but I find a lot of the pronunciation of some words hard to understand. For example when sings we both hold you up and show you a to me he sings "brind" new world ... Is he trying to sing blind or bright or a mixture of both
2. I have a big problem with the song structure and wording. It's all over the place.
4. It sounds like a christian pop song that you would listen too at a church youth group.

It's not radio material. At all. It really is all over the place. He didn't combine country pop and folk at all. Some parts a pop, some are country, etc. That's not how you write a song. And honestly it's not relatable for most people. If it were about home in general that'd be okay. But it's specifically about Bryan. And the only people who will want to listen to it are minions. I mean I hate country and pop so i don't like it. It's better than I expected from him but he's not going to get famous off of this.

You nailed it with the Christian song. The song just doesn't flow well at all. His voice isn't awful, but I have a feeling auto tune was involved when you compare this to his "mirrors" cover. He tried to have a huge range and his voice is not built for it. The lyrics are cheesy at best. Only bryabetis would sing about the refrigerator.

I think he was going for something like 'this everyday ordinary thing like the fridge light is so wonderful because it's part of our home together'. That's the only way I've been close to making it make sense.

I will admit it the backing instrumentals are catchy, I would love if he uploaded the instrumentals on their own.

I don't like his voice or the song much, but the major problem I have with the song is it lacks heart. For a song written about his son and wife, shouldn't we feel that love? It's seriously lacking in the vlogs, and the disconnect is distracting.

Compare them to Ellie and Jared who have tons of heart. You can tell they love eachother, and Jackson a lot. Jared speaks from the heart a lot, and you can see in his eyes he's genuine.

Bryan and Missy lost that along the way. They were spoiled children while living with her parents, and then became whiny brats once they moved out and had to be "grown ups". I think that's the main reason for the disconnect, Bryan wants to be cool and have fun and Ollie ties him down.

The refrigerator light is just laughable because I've been with my hubs as long as Mithy and Brya-wannabe-pop-country-star-with-a-shitty-one-time-"hit-that-only-12-year-olds-like"-betes and never once have I looked at him in the light of the refrigerator, and it just goes to show you how food obsessed these two are.
