I agree that the house/apartment she lives in now is smaller than the one they first moved to. I found it odd that they were still pretty much living out of boxes at the new house with only a few things set up. Not that living in a smaller home is anything to be ashamed about, but she probably feels that way? Just doesnt make much sense that they would downgrade that much off of a threat from online. Especially, from a house she says they bought.
Maybe she got cut off financially or ran out of that inheritance?
It seems like the move closer to Layton's family was a really bad choice. Layton's dad already proved that living close wasn't a good thing, and it seems like it's happening again.
