I don't know I didn't really get socialized with kids my age until preschool. Not at anyone fault, there just weren't really any kids around when we moved. Nothing bad happened to me, other than being a bit shy. I'm curious to know how much socialization a 3 year old really needs, and whats considered detrimental. Especially with children who have Turners.

Off topic a bit, but Lily often asks for V to put movies on during vlogs. So she deff isn't forcing Lily to watch them 24/7 from what I've seen.

So, because I hear so much about Lily's (and other kid's) lack of socializing with other kids, I asked an expert. She said at age 3, you expect to see kids playing cooperatively beside each other, not with each other. Of course every kid varies. But that's perfectly normal at this stage.

Yes, but it's the parents job to know when to say enough is enough. Lily does watch a lot of tv, in my opinion.

Exactly. If my girls asks for ice cream for dinner, It's my job to tell them no. Just because Lily asks quite often to watch TV, doesn't mean that Vanessa should let her.

Lily is at the age that she could turnaround her shyness or whatever & be fine. She's only 3, so no harm done yet. However I think Vanessa should start thinking about getting her involved. Maybe swim lessons this summer?
If Vanessa is aware she's so shy you'd think she'd want to do something about it.

Please expand on what Lily does or doesn't do that's "not typical for a child her age." I'm interested to hear specifics.

We only get a small amount of time to observe Lily, but she has multiple doctors and specialists that she sees frequently. If there is anything amiss in her development, Vanessa will know about it and what she can do, if anything, to help Lily moving forward. It's not like Vanessa just does her own thing. She has experts advising her.

If you mean she could be lying to us, well yes, she could be, but what is her motivation to do that? Her family watches all her videos. David watches. David is also involved in the decision making regarding Lily. There's no reason for her to lie when she's been so open about what disabilities Lily might have or develop. She's expecting some type of learning disabilities for instance, and we know speech is an issue.

Some of you think that because I said lily isn't cute, I am mean and ignorant. So what about vanessa? She has total control of her Instagram and still decides not to delete these hurtful comments. Who in their right mind leaves these types of comments up? And before anyone says that she probably didn't see them, those comments were made before people started commenting about her. I love how people think a speech therapist & or her cardiac doctor are monitoring anything more than their specialized field. I highly doubt her cardiac doctor is monitoring her social behaviour or mental development. He/she is only looking after lily's heart! The speech therapist may be able to spot certain issues out of her field depending on her training / life experience.

A speech language pathologist would be able to monitor several things, because how you communicate because there are several factors that impact speech and any form of communication. They deal with more than just speech

Totally agree. Whenever the mother is disliked, people always go after the kid in some way. Most often it's autism or delays. I mean really, why do people hate on Lily or any of the kids? It's not their fault that their mothers put them on YT. Sure have a go at the moms because they set themselves up for criticism. The kids are innocent. Why is this even an issue? If it ruins your fun because people don't let you get away with calling a kid ugly or weird, I think you need to re-evaluate your life choices and look after your own damn kids.

I dont think anything terrible was said about lily i agree her looks should be off limits. But commenting on her behaviour isn't awful. If you put your kids on youtube poeple are going to comment on how they act. There was no nasty names used. Obviously vanessa is cool with it or she'd delete those very public comments that are a million times worse.

I think her behaviour especially social behavior is atypical for a child her age. She would probably benefit from one day a week at day care and her parents treating her like a three year old instead of like a baby.

I feel like Lilys(and any childs) looks should be off limits. It just seems mean. If you comment on Lilys behavior because you are just trying to be an asshole to V I think thats terrible. But if there is genuine concern for Lily and you aren't rude about it I don't see any issue. With that said, I think that V says Lily is not delayed because she is trying to convince herself. I think Lily is adorable but I can't deny the fact that she seems to be behind and I definitely see the blank look you guys are talking about. I don't like V that much but I would never just say these things about Lily just to hurt her. I feel like some of us genuinely worry for Lily but I can only speak for myself. There is no shame in Lily being delayed(if she is). The problem would be if V knew she was behind(or suspected) but selfishly didn't try to work with her more or get more professional opinions on it simply because she wants to deny it. But, truth be told we don't know the full story. We aren't there when the camera is off. I would hope that if V suspected Lily was behind she would seek out help but V is on the lazy side when it comes to parenting a lot of the time.

I'm sorry but a pediatrician is a doctor for kids! But I agree, people are always going to find something wrong to bitch at Vanessa BUT I do agree that its Vanessa's job to limit Lily's tv. SO many studies are coming out involving tv and kids and they say its not recommended to allow kids to watch tv until they social with other kids and doing different activities on a daily basis. Tv really wares down someone's attention span and I think that's why Lily has such a blank stare so often.
