I live where the forest industry means lots of people with big money. They all compete with each other and buy expensive trucks, SUVs, RV's, boats, snowmobiles, large and fancy houses... It never ends.
One of the mills burned down a few years ago and tons of people went bankrupt because they didn't actually "own" much of anything. It was all credit.
I'm thinking YT has become the same way. Actually, it's probably worse because you're showing off your day to day spending too... that's a lot of pressure to keep up with the Joneses (or Sacchone-Joly's). I would say Butlers but Shay is actually pretty good with his money.

Yeah, Shay hasn't had debt in years and he is putting money away for the future of his 5 kids! They aren't too bad with spending either. I think Shay and Colette communicate really well, B&M could never do that.

Not only that, Shay has been saving for the kids for years way before he became a millionaire. Some of the earlier vlogs he would vlog going to the bank to deposit checks into the kids college funds. Fast forward to years later, and now they have all this money where they didn't need to save all that money but they considered YouTube going away. Who would have known they would hit the jackpot.
And living debt free and only using debit cards is seriously the best way to live. If you don't have it, don't spend it! Credit cards are needed for the score but only swipe it if you can pay it back right away. We paid off all of our debt (it took 5 years) and it is soooo much better! We only pay a bill or 2 on our credit card to keep our score, but we pay it off within a week.
I know they probably have a huge credit card debt and they just pay the minimum, that's why they can spend so much

I would bet money that in the first few months of their marriage they incurred a ton of debt with frivolous spending. Then, after they got back together, HAD to move in with Mimi and Papa to save money. They started YT and had more money and are spending that before they even get it.
My prediction: They will move back in with Mimi and Papa as soon as their lease is up, or shortly before. It will be so they can help with the baby, or because Suzanne needs help with her back... only it will actually be because those two are in over their heads again! Ok, and because they need someone to raise their kids while they nap and go on dates.
My other prediction: Missy gets fat over this pregnancy and they lose a ton of viewers from that. No one would watch Mama June daily vlog and talk about healthy and natural things.
Which reminds me.... Hey Missy! Know what's not natural? Dying your frazzled and fried hair every month!
