I'm still convinced that Bryan might be gay.

Ha! Me too! I've always thought that...in fact I thought it was a best friend having a baby for him & his partner, honestly!

I really go back and forth on that.

Justone, I saw you mention that before... Can I ask how you arrived at that? I know a lot of people have said they thought Bryan was gay but I have never heard of this scenario lol.

I just want to say that the first time I ever watched them my "Gaydar" went off like crazy. I know a lot of us women have the ability to tell if a man is gay or not. And more than anything for me I just get a super strong feeling he is. I've been friends with guys who at first I really thought were gay. But then through seeing the way they interact with women, their interests, etc, It would be clear they were straight and just a little flamboyant. Like Jared imo. Bryan however.. The man is lying to himself. I bet he wouldn't be such an evil human being if he could come out and be himself. He just isn't genuine.

He reminds me of a friend from high school. He had a girlfriend for years. She hated his female friends because she thought we were the reason he wasn't really into having sex with her. We would joke about when she would figure it out. She had a meltdown when he came out of the closet. It's a weird coincidence that her name was also Melissa.

Then there was that craigslist ad fiasco, which was weird. Maybe he was raised in an environment where it wasn't ok to be gay so he found a girl who would settle with him. I mean, what if he's literally Missy's sperm donor and they never had sex? But I'm getting completely ahead of myself lol

I have to say, I don't always hate Bryan. I feel like there are a few tiny, tiny scenes where he's actually kind of like-able. I don't feel that way with Missy though.

It makes me wonder who they were before they met, and who they were before YouTube. Did YouTube influence them? Were they always like this? Or did Missy influence Bryan or vice versa?

I feel like Missy influenced Bryan. Her whole family seems to be willing to do as she commands. Seems like she's always gotten her way.

Same. When I first started watching them I instantly got that vibe from him. Even when I liked them, I couldn't really shake it no matter how much I wanted to "buy" into their facade. They're just not loving. There's a difference between being shy and not really into pad and just not having a romantic connection with someone.

i remember the first video of theirs i watched (the whole surprise! i'm pregnant!) i really got gay vibes from bryan but i guess they quickly wore off because i don't remember thinking "yeah... he's totally gay" as the videos went on.

I was recently going through all of Missy's early videos on her channel, and holy smokes, it's such a huge contrast compared to now. Back before they had Ollie, and even for a short while afterwards, they were pretty likable. Her Bumpdates were enjoyable, she was perky and funny and she seemed so genuinely excited. Her loss videos were truly painful to watch and you could tell how hard it was for her to talk about it. I still very much admire the strength it took to make those. But back then, they seemed so excited about their baby boy.

Now, it's just.... empty. Like, there is absolutely no feeling there. Sometimes they try to go through the motions, but it comes off even flatter and more hollow than if they didn't try at all. Missy is excited for the new pregnancy, but I don't think she's truly 100% excited to be a mother of a second child. Whatever energy they had before is completely gone, and that's really tragic to me. I enjoyed watching her channel when she seemed so vibrant. A bit immature, but growing and learning how to be a parent and an adult. Now, it's just complaining, moaning, bitching, whining, and ignoring the child they wanted so badly.

Seriously a shame. When Oliver looks back on his mother's videos about her pregnancy with him, he'll see how happy and in love she was with it. When the new baby looks back, that won't be the same case at all.

Missy got lazy about a year ago. Whether it was Ollie no longer a newborn, moving away from Mimi, or YT in general, something sucked the life of of her. She's cocky and ignorant now, and fake... so fake!

When I watch the older videos, it's like they should be the newer ones. Missy now spouts garbage and makes assumptions. She should know better, but she doesn't.

I think having a newborn fulfills a need for attention Missy has, but once they are weaned and don't need her, I think it's just competition for Bryan and the Hollisters' attention. It will only be better with re baby for a year, and then she'll leave them to Bryan while she tries for a new one.

Re: Bryan being gay. I worked as a costume designer/dresser for theatre and ballet so I have spent a lot of time with gay men, sometimes younger gay men who are not yet "out". One poor girl got her heart broken when she realized her high school sweetheart was gay. I was thinking, "honey, he made your prom dress... not a clue?" Ironically my dad's biological father was gay. He was with the family until my dad was around 6 and then took off. It took the family years and years to track him down and by then he had passed away. He had the same partner from the time he left until death - forty some odd years. But again, with my sweet grandma I had to say, "he studied interior design in school and he designed and made your wedding dress. No idea?" I don't know. When your husband is more excited about seeing his guy friends and more affectionate with them than you... maybe a clue?

Isnt it true that the reason the got divorced years ago was because Bryan wasnt sure what his sexuality was and wanted to explore more and it wasnt until he and Missy reconnected months later that he found god and decided to be together with Missy and her family?
