Re: 2011teenageWOWlilyWOWWWW Part 19
When she was showing the pancake picture on her phone and you could see the text from Yvonne above, oh my God. "Easter is always on a Sunday! I think." Really? You think EASTER SUNDAY falls on a SUNDAY? Oh my. Also, for her to say that, Vanessa must have questioned it, yet I thought she was supposedly all into the true meaning of Easter and whatnot.

She gave Lily the decals so that she could put them up. I'm pretty sure I saw lily pulling a few things out of the basket. Then she gets uninterested so V pulls the rest out. Pretty typical of younger kids.

Lily was too cute opening her Easter basket. Looks like she had a good Easter!

Judge me all you want, I ask the same question every year. Everyone does if they have multiple family members and gatherings to attend. We had gatherings all weekend this year.KatherineLouvain wrote:When she was showing the pancake picture on her phone and you could see the text from Yvonne above, oh my God. I think Lily was adorable with her basket. That was IMO the perfect size basket with age appropriate toys and treats. I will keep that in mind for the future. I think we used to really overdo it, and it's just not necessary.

I came here to post the same thing! Of course Vanessa questioned it, or Yvonne wouldn't have responded in that way. I don't even celebrate Easter, but I know Easter is always on a Sunday & I know why! I'm guessing she doesn't know why it's called Easter Sunday? LOL.
This is a girl who wears a cross on her neck, & put a book about the true meaning of Easter in her daughters basket. Maybe she needs to read the book. lol yikes!

So since your family dyes eggs the night before that's the only time any one is allowed to dye eggs?shelbyxo26 wrote:I am watching the Easter vlog so I might as well type what I think as I watch so I don't forget anything.
Why would you give Easter decals to someone for Easter? You're suppose to put them up BEFORE Easter and take them down just after. Come on Vanessa, you're smarter than that. In my family we dye Easter eggs the night before Easter. There is so much to do on Easter day why would you do it then? Aren't toy keys meant for kids the ages of like 1-2? Shouldn't Lily be into toy phones now? No, Vanessa, those are not M&M's, they're bit size Reese's pieces. I hate how Vanessa pulls things out of the basket for Lily, let her pull everything out herself and look at it going her own speed. Jesus. Vanessa, you're wearing pajamas, why the hell do you feel like need to also wear apron? And why do you also make an elaborate breakfast for everything? I don't understand why people do that.
I thought it was nice the three of them sat down together and did it on Easter

Everyone I know does it the night before Easter as well. In my family we all gather together for Easter and since we have a pretty large family and since all of the adults are in the kitchen getting dinner ready there wouldn't be room for dying eggs, also aren't you at a family function to hang out with her entire family that is there, not just sit a table and dye eggs with the people you live with? It just have been just as cute and nice if they did it at home. It's not like anyone else joined them in dying the eggs.Lovehound11 wrote:So since your family dyes eggs the night before that's the only time any one is allowed to dye eggs?shelbyxo26 wrote:I am watching the Easter vlog so I might as well type what I think as I watch so I don't forget anything.

Seems like lily's mom wanted to be apart of it. Maybe the grandparents wanted to see lily dye the eggs. v didn't film the whole dying process so we don't know for a fact no one else joined them.shelbyxo26 wrote:Everyone I know does it the night before Easter as well. I don't see the big deal with dying them on Easter. Why is it so offensive to you.

Re: 2011teenageWOWlilyWOWWWW Part 19
Lily's Mom is Vanessa? I am not offended, I just don't know why they waited until the day was almost over, that's all. I think if Vanessa bought all of this stuff for them and to be creative wouldn't she want to show them off and display them at the party instead of doing them half way through the party? Just my personal opinion, seems like you're offended, though.Lovehound11 wrote:Seems like lily's mom wanted to be apart of it. It's my personal opinion that I don't think it's a big deal they dyed eggs when they did. Guess we will agree to disagree

Literally don't understand why it's such a big deal when eggs are dyed. I didn't dye any this year - am I doing Easter wrong?

Re: 2011teenageWOWlilyWOWWWW Part 19
I thought the Easter video was nice, it's nice to see Lily with extended family (I do wish Vanessa would have worn COLOR and not a black tank top) but whatever lol.
Her newest video about the strawberry yogurt.. sigh... I wish she would learn how to say things correctly, if I were going to be making a video I would learn how to say all the ingredients (if I didn't know how to pronounce something, google is really handy, heck you can even go on youtube and type in the word and it tells you how)

I remember it was really messy and the kids wouldn't eat the eggs anyway. It's not something I'd bother doing ever again!

Re: 2011teenageWOWlilyWOWWWW Part 19
I don't understand why Vanessa tries to eat all healthy and says she has this great diet and whatever and then she does things like boiling chicken and veggies. I don't know 100% about chicken being boiled because its disgusting but boiling veggies takes every single % of nutritional value it may have, considering she mainly uses frozen veggies and fruit. If you want something 100% nutritional and the best of the best but it fresh and steam it! Even in her frozen yogurt video she uses frozen strawberries, I don't understand why people think that just because it's a vegetable or fruit that its good for you. If it has added chemicals and is frozen for over a year what makes you think its still good for you? Buy fresh and get the real nutritional value. So many people do this and its so annoying!

Re: 2011teenageWOWlilyWOWWWW Part 19
This. And steamed vegetables taste so much better. Chicken is better if you bake it in the oven, it holds the moisture really well (unless you over cook it of course). Plus then you can add more flavour to it, boiled chicken has zero flavour.shelbyxo26 wrote:I don't understand why Vanessa tries to eat all healthy and says she has this great diet and whatever and then she does things like boiling chicken and veggies. Frozen fruit I don't really have an Issue with, especially when you're making a frozen treat. It's better than ice cream any day. I use frozen fruit for smoothies because it tastes better and makes them creamier and colder. But to snack on I eat fresh fruit.
I think vanessa trying to eat healthy and exercise is really great, but she should definitely do some research and learn about what she's talking about in her videos because she has a lot of young naive girls watching her who think what she says is true.
