I think Bryan isn't close to his Family. Yesterday was National Siblings Day, and everyone was posting pictures. Bryan loves to jump on every trend, so he would posted a picture of him and his sister, but he didn't. I think he has pushed his family away.

I don't think Bryan had an ideal childhood. His sister is way older than him, so they probably didn't have a normal sibling relationship, and his mom essentially chose her boyfriend over her own son when he was just a teenager. Which is why he moved out at such a young age.
I think he probably latched onto the Hollisters because it was his first experience with a family that seemed to care about each other.
I would imagine it would be difficult to maintain a relationship with the people who couldn't be bothered to protect you as a child. And even though it wasn't his sisters responsibility, she was old enough and in a position to make life a bit easier for him as a teen, and it doesn't sound like she did. Frankly, if my mother chose her love life over me, and let me move out rather than break up with the man who was verbally abusive to me, I'd never contact her again. His family should count themselves lucky that he allows them to have any sort of relationship with him and his child at all.

Normal sibling relationship? Uh, I have 2 brothers who are 42, I'm 16. I could go to them with any of my problems, same with my 39 year old sister. I have 2 other sisters (37 and 30) and I'm not close to those at all. Age difference doesn't automatically make them not "normal". I agree with the rest though.

I kinda think that even if they have a girl, B&M will still be lazy. I mean, it's still work. Plus, Missy enjoyed the baby clothes stage with Ollie too because she enjoyed the attention. This one will grow up and have a mind of her own before by the age of 2. Then it will be time for another baby.

Basically, the dreams she has that go along with a daughter, are the same as the ones she had about cloth diapering, baby wearing, early potty training, baby sign language, etc. once things get tough, laziness kicks in and Missy does bare minimum.

Either way their kids are fucked because too much emphasis is placed on cuteness. Think about it, they mention Ollie's cute way more than we ever hear them praise him for being smart, clever, good, kind, helpful, etc. Also FAR more than we ever hear "I Love You". Once he isn't cute anymore, Ollie is going to have Bryan's self-esteem issues.

Wow, there's a ton of assumption there! He had a super healthy relationship with his grandmother, and speaks fondly of both his mother and sister in a blog post where he mentions she was a single mom.

My guess is the Hollisters make it uncomfortable for them to come around, so they don't. Does Mimi seem warm and inviting to anyone? Remember when Ollie was born, and Nancy stayed at a hotel and only saw Ollie and Missy a couple of times. Ollie had a strict nap schedule when Nancy wanted to see him, but not when they had better things to do.

It doesn't make sense for Missy to encourage a relationship with the father that abandoned him, but alienate the rest of B's family. My guess is the only reason Bryan was able to see them on his birthday was because it was E&Js home and they invited them, and Missy didn't want to seem like an absolute bitch. Bryan doesn't seem strained or awkward when he's around his mom or sister at all.... Missy does.

At the and of the vlog when Bryan was stressing how super duper "busyyyyy" he and missy were today.

Together:

-they went to the apple store

Missy:

-went out with Mimi to $hop
-came home and threw Ollie at the TV (frozen, of course)
-apparently cleaned and sorted things out (wtf?)

Bryan:

-Answered emails
-ran to the grocery store so princess Mithy could have her popcorn.

Man, what a day. Sure am glad I only have to deal with 12 hour days at work, 4 kids to look after, and a house to keep instead of their busy schedule :'D

So I'm just going to throw my two cents in here. And just a forewarning, I'm not looking for pity, I promise!Bryans situation is just eerily close to mine. With his sister being significantly older, and her mothers choices. My brother is 9 years older than me, but it was definitely not his responsibility to take care of me as a parental figure.

When I was 17, my mom moved her boyfriend and his drug addicted son into our apartment, and she already knew I wasn't comfortable, but she did it anyway. Home life is pretty shitty for a few months, I've lost all privacy, and she's made it very clear that even though I was constantly shut in my room so they would leave me alone, she didn't care and chose her nasty ass boyfriend over me. I told her in March of 2014, 1 month after I turned 18, still in high school, that I couldn't deal with them anymore. She still ignored me, and when jewelry started disappearing, she still acted like nothing was wrong. Anyway, the final straw for me was April of last year when she stood in the kitchen and just watched her asshole boyfriend shove his finger in my face and call me a snobby little bitch. She didn't even try to defend me. The next day, I moved into my Nana's house while they were out.

It's incredibly difficult, even a year later, to get over stuff like that, and I don't have a very good relationship with my mother because she chose her boyfriend over her children. In my opinion, when you have children, THEY COME FIRST. Regardless of whether or not you want to have a love life, your children should always come first. I can see where Bryan wouldn't have a very good relationship with his mother if the situation was similar to mine.

So do I!! But I feel like it'll be a girl, she was pregnant with only boys before so I feel like it's gonna be a girl this time.. But who knows! I really do hope for a boy!

That's true! I hope they announce today. I feel like if it is a boy she's gonna stop being excited and just be sad cause she didn't get a girl and that's horrible. I have two sons of my own and I thought for sure my second was a girl and not once did I EVER get upset about it. He is 7 months old and the sweetest baby (& chunkiest )
