Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
I could only see her picking prom instead if she has a boyfriend and wants the memory. My boyfriend didn't take me to formal and he regrets it now. But besides that, I'd so go to Hawaii!

Yes, tanner isn't exactly natural. I thought she was only into essential oils and natural products! Oh, and I thought she had an aversion to all lotions.lalila wrote:And there is nobody to wash his clothes! Really? He had to buy a new wardrobe for Hawaii?

Fake tanning during pregnancy? I wouldn't try it personally but ok, it might not be harmful but I am fairly sure that kind of products are full of chemicals.

In a normal family, yes. This is the Hollisters! They make EVERYTHING Missy does an excuse for a big night together. It's Cassie's turn for the spotlight (for once) and she wanted to do her prom. As parents they really should have stayed and been there for her and still done Hawaii another time.fossilfinger wrote:What do parents do at a prom, though? They take pictures beforehand but that's about it.
That said, I think B&M are paying for her parents to go to Hawaii. Her speech about her dad made it sound like he was going in some part due to her, and that he deserved it. My guess is Missy can't bear to be away from Momi, and they need their babysitter with them so they can "ditch the kid!"

Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
People don't seriously PAY to get their hair and make up done for Prom, do they? I just got ready at home, and wore a $50 dress. It's not a wedding (which I also did my own hair and make up for), it's a school dance. That's so weird. Why are so many people so wasteful with their money?HelloSweetie1 wrote:
I was surprised that Cassie isn't getting her makeup done. I mean, it sucks enough that she's alone (unless they left Jimmy behind to hang out with her?), but to have to do her own hair and makeup while her mom has recently paid for massages, nails and Hawaii. I understand they dint have a ton of money, but I think Cassie is being a little left out. We all know Missy probably had "the works" for her prom.
I wonder why the Hollisters aren't in a better financial situation anyway. I mean, it sounded like they split the rent with B&M because it was the only way to afford a nice place. They lived next door to Missy's grandma for years in Idaho, and made it sound like they shared land. I'd be surprised if that was a rental! Is it possible it was more of a compound they lived in and the church would take all their income?
Missy's dad seems like a hard worker, and 15 hour days is a lot to continue to work now that he's getting older. They just don't seem prepared for the future. I understand not everyone can afford to buy a house, but it's curious to me that they have so little. Guess that explains why they aren't pushing B&M to prepare for the future.

Prom is the only thing to really look forward to senior year besides graduation. You get to dress up and have a good time with everybody before they go away for college. Just because you think it's a waste doesn't mean it is. I'd definitely spend the extra $40 or so at a MAC counter to feel good that one last night.Theirmom wrote:People don't seriously PAY to get their hair and make up done for Prom, do they? Obviously Missy didn't inherit her Dads work ethic. She thinks her life of manicures, shopping, napping, swimming, and lounging is busy, and here her Dad is working 15 hours a day. You don't know what busy is Missy.
I'd bet a lot of money that Mimi and Papa will spend their entire vacation watching Ollie, while Missy and Bryan spend money stupidly.

This vlog really stressed me out. They had an hour and twenty minutes and still weren't packed? And instead of actually packing, they're walking all over their house to film, and Missy is trying out her sister's makeup? I am a very organized person and I just can't imagine leaving it until the last minute like that. Add in Oliver being a terror, it gave me anxiety. WTF have they been doing all morning leading up to it? Why wouldn't they have started to pack a little bit the night before?

They are in for a real treat with Oliver when he hits two, three's sometimes are worse and "f*cking fours". Shall be interesting to watch them try to help Oliver through those years.

Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
No, it was fake and scripted. The only real part was Oliver. My guess is they were done packing and just saying bye to Cassie. They were waiting for the shuttle and thought they'd just do a "one take" or whatever.honeybear wrote:This vlog really stressed me out. They had an hour and twenty minutes and still weren't packed? Watch the vlogs from whenever else they've gone away. Missy is never that relaxed. She's always super compulsive and controlling. My guess is they were packed and just took a few things out of their suitcases to "pack" in front of the camera. Missy packs in her bedroom remember? She was all dine because the room was tidy.
Ollie's suitcase was left open for us to see because who packs a toddlers stuff and then leaves the case open so he can pull things out and lose them?
Bryan was packed, it just needed to get put in the suitcase.

Ok so when I buy new clothes, I always wash them before I wear them.

Well if they were going to wash stuff then they wouldn't have needed to buy new clothes. They just don't have time!elifino1 wrote:Ok so when I buy new clothes, I always wash them before I wear them.

Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
First B put his shoes on the bed then M put them in the suitcase with the soles outward touching the clothes and the outside of the suitcase. That's nasty and they're probably not going to wash the clothes

Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
Thoughts on today's vlog.
Bryan says, "I've never been to Hawaii, and I don't think Missy has been" . . . You don't know?!
Missy says, "that's what being a parent is all about, teaching your child to be good". So that's why you just pawned him off, huh.
