Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
I can't believe they got Oliver his own room. I feel like they have no concept of how to handle finances. I guess it just drives me crazy how they use God to look cool, but don't want to live by the rules. One of them being to not be in debt and another one being to give to others. I'm just disappointed. I feel like these two could make such a difference in their community, but they just serve themselves anyway.

Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
It's because they booked 2 rooms. Ollie's is just adjoining. One 2 bedroom suite would be less that a suite and an adjoining room.katelyn120 wrote:how do you know that? I wonder if they got the room for Mimi and Papa but then they decided to stay somewhere a little more separate so they could have a break.
I get kids needing to have a separate room (my kid is a light sleeper too!), but does it really make sense to have them sleep alone...in an adjoining room...with a separate entrance and balcony?

I am just shocked they care enough to...
1. keep Ollie rear facing in the car
2. Use his car seat on the plane
3. Keep Ollie rear facing on the plane

Plus they probably wanted a way to strap him in and make sure he just sat there and watched Frozen

I love how they won't admit that they actually got Ollie his own room. Missy was just like, "here is storage" when pointing to the main entry door of ollies room.

I haven't traveled on a plane with a toddler but I thought they were supposed to front face on a plane?nutbagmcgee wrote:I am just shocked they care enough to...

Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
Baby Center cites the minimums in safety.
Currently you should keep under 4 and 40 pounds rear facing (AAP suggests rear facing to the minimum of 2) once again you never want to do the minimum.
I always rear faced as long as possible on the plane. If they are forward facing you can't use the tray table and they kick the seat in front of them non stop. He rides rear facing in the car so he should still rear face on the plane.

Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
Looked up the hotel they are at. A one bedroom suite, 7 night stay and partial ocean view is less than $1000 prebooked. Maybe they are finally saving money?
The room for Ollie is about another $900.
I'm sticking to my Mimi and Papa were supposed to share but got a better offer theory If the rooms are non-refundable and they are stuck with it they might as well put Ollie in it.
Bottom line.... That is not a $700/nt hotel, and it's only 3 stars. They've spent more on a one night stay for sure!

Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
Sorry for my wrong nightly rate earlier of $700. When I quickly looked it up this morning I chose the "romance package" and you know they have no romance lol
Looked it up and chose the "best 7 day rate" and this is what it said. This is the room they have, the 2 bed, 2 bath. Just not sure if they have the garden view or ocean view as you can see ocean from their room so here is the quote for both those rooms per night

I don't think that's the same hotel I found. The balconies look different.ButterflyB wrote:Sorry for my wrong nightly rate earlier of $700. When I quickly looked it up this morning I chose the "romance package" and you know they have no romance lol

There is no way the room B&M have is called a 2 bedroom. Why the mini fridge, separate bathroom and balcony? If I expected to get a 2 bdrm and got that I'd be pissed.

"Each person has to take one hour with Ollie!"
What a great vacation for her parents, right?
And is Jimmy on the trip too or no?

Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
I actually found today's vlog nice!
For the bathing suit, my guess is that she wants to "hide" her weigh a little bit?
For the hotel room, I think they just took what was left or maybe the deal wasn't too bad. I don't think they've spend that much, this looks kind of standard.
OT: was it some kind of "car seat" buggy Ollie was in? Like traveling stuff where you just attach your kid's car seat? Does someone knows what it is exactly?

Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
I am sure they bought a branded car seat roller but I always use a luggage cart from Walmart. Just a metal cart that folds with wheels. Use a bungee cord through the belt path and you are good to go for $20.lalila wrote: OT: was it some kind of "car seat" buggy Ollie was in? Re: DailyGenderDisappointment Part 24
I think they've had it for the last couple trips. It's essentialy a car seat with wheels and a handle. The Butlers and a few other families have them too. It seems like a pretty handy item. My only question is, children under 2 are usually free (or so I've heard) but does that only apply if they're sitting in a lap? If so, did they rly need to buy another ticket for him?nutbagmcgee wrote:I am sure they bought a branded car seat roller but I always use a luggage cart from Walmart. Yes, 2 and under is only free if they sit in your lap. For a long flight with a 2 year old, this would be nearly impossible without a fight.angelfire89 wrote:I think they've had it for the last couple trips.
