Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
I just watched Cullen & Katie's video where they were chatting at the table about MG's upcoming dedication & Mother's Day. I lol'ed when they mentioned how Missy does something special every Mother's Day and then all Missy did this year was a pile of disappointment (it was so boring I shut it off without finishing the video). If I were Missy I would've felt embarrassed releasing that video when people have such a high opinion of the previous ones. I liked her other Mother's Day videos and actually shared one of her older ones this year because it's so inclusive of all mothers when a good chunk end up being forgotten about or suffer in silence.

Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
Bryan just posted on Twitter that it took forever for Oliver's appointment to be scheduled. #DailyLies. I think that Missy didn't want the appointment to interfere with her gender reveal, or that she forgot about it.

Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
So are we assuming Bryan, Missy AND Suzanne showed up for Ollie's appointment?
I work at a hospital and it is very annoying when too many unnecessary people come to appointments. We get the whole "support" thing, but waiting/exam rooms/bays just aren't that big and we need room to move. Plus, we just don't have time to deal with extra people when the patient is the priority.
If Bryan stays home and doesn't go, then he needs to get his head out of his ass and be there for his son! Missy has no right to prioritize her mom over him in her son's life. Be careful Bryan, because they'll shut you out and claim disinterested dad if you two ever split!

Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
^^^ Agreed. Suzanne needs to realize her role as a grandmother, and not parent. It's kind of off-putting, especially after receiving that tile about Oliver's birth weight, length, and day on HER table....Suzanne must think she is more than just a "grandparent" (or Missy makes her believe that, while shutting Bryan out).
Suzanne just makes me uncomfortable.

I honestly don't think its suzannes fault, I think its missy that pawned olli off on her so much that she can't help but become very bonded to him.

Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
I definitely think that played a huge role. But then again, she should be bonded to her grandson! She has to establish a line between grandparent and parent. She isn't Oliver's parent, and should step back and allow Bryan to be his actual parent.jjtard wrote:I honestly don't think its suzannes fault, I think its missy that pawned olli off on her so much that she can't help but become very bonded to him.
I'm sure Missy won't let her "step back" though. She needs to be there to hold Missy's hand every parenting step of the way.

Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
I think it is partly Suzanne's fault. If missy was told "no" more often, she wouldn't keep running to her mom to go with her to Ollie's appointments and such. She would realize that some appointments are okay to go with Mimi and the rest by herself or with Bryan. Missy just doesn't seem to know how to be independent.
Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
Because of Mimi Missy will never know what the intimacy of marriage is like. No matter who Missy married it would have failed to be a good marriage because Mimi can't back up. They are both to blame but as a mother who built what seems to be a good marriage she should have established bountries.

Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
Oh no, it is. She wants to be Missy's friend so bad that she hasn't made her grow up. The boundary issues were there LONG before Ollie!jjtard wrote:I honestly don't think its suzannes fault, I think its missy that pawned olli off on her so much that she can't help but become very bonded to him.
When Missy couldn't find Gabriel's heartbeat before her anatomy scan, she told her mom... not Bryan.
Suzanne then told Papa, Cassie and Missy's aunt. No one told Bryan! He walked into that ultrasound ill prepared and completely blindsided. Not cool.
Here's a snip from her blog...

Not to mention, Suzanne had to be in the room for the section. She went to all Missy's doctors appointments too. Suzanne is crippling and enabling Missy. Take Bryan out of the equation, and Missy will be supported by Mimi while looking for a new fella to produce babies with....
She'll be Jess.

Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
I hate them as much as the next person but I don't think they have such a horrid relationship as mother and daughter. There's nothing wrong with using your village to raise your kids if your lucky enough to have one.
Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
I'm close with my mom too and if we lived near each other I'm sure she'd come to some prenatal appointments if I asked her. However she wouldn't come INSTEAD of my husband, especially if he stayed at home. In fact with my son I was a single mom and she still didn't come to every single appointment with me because I am an adult not a 15 year old.

Missy and Suzanne can have a great relationship all they want, but when that relationship inhibits Missy's marriage, it's no longer healthy.Youtubemommy wrote:I hate them as much as the next person but I don't think they have such a horrid relationship as mother and daughter. Bryan should be at the baby appointments. Not Suzanne. Suzanne should be staying home with Oliver.

DailyUltrasounds Part 25
I was raised by a village. I had a single parent mom, and my grandparents lived a block away. They helped my mom, but never to the point where it was crippling. She is strong and independent. She sees my grandparents every evening for coffee, and we are all very close.Youtubemommy wrote:I hate them as much as the next person but I don't think they have such a horrid relationship as mother and daughter. That said, when I was growing up, they were my grandparents. We spent a ton of time with them because my mom worked shift work and they were our childcare. They raised us to respect our mom, and if they disagreed with how she was parenting, or what she was doing they always kept it private. They never undermined her. She was the parent, and they were the grandparents.
A village is fine, but you should have the capability to do it on your own! Bryan went to. Cambodia for 6 days and Missy nearly fell apart. And that was with one kid! She couldn't cope if Bryan left. She would move in with her parents and stay there until she has a new fella.
That's not a village.
It becomes a problem when Ollie has a serious doctors appointment like his croup and 2 people go... Suzanne and Missy. His dad is being undermined and Ollie is learning he isn't there for him. He's the same sex parent and Ollie needs him.

Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
I'm sorry did I miss that Missy went to medical school? This girl seems to think she just knows everything.
If he does have whatever they think he does she is not sure she will put him on medication. Smh.

Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
Double post sorry. Did anyone else notice that when M & B were talking at the table Missy was looking at the Zillow app? Looking to move already?!
Re: DailyUltrasounds Part 25
"That doesn't happen at 20 weeks, at least not to me."
Wow, Missy truly believes she's invincible and that nothing bad should ever happen to her.
