Wow, Missy truly believes she's invincible and that nothing bad should ever happen to her.

I know! WTF? She has some serious denial issues. She's very ill-prepared to deal with any trials life might throw at her.

If this were a movie, I'd be like....

"Something bad is totally going to happen".

At least Bryan sounded like he's on top of it. He clearly had read up on them, and listened to what the doctor said. It's a medical procedure so I bet they were told only 2 people could go. Good for Bryan if he insisted!

Shame on Missy for not following their directions to have him sleepy. Why even have the test done if you're not going to take a diagnosis seriously? Of course you haven't seen then happen again... how often do you get him up from bed right away? Or how often do you look at him while he's quiet. She has her face in her phone or computer the entire time. Poor kid has to pitch a fit for her to engage.

I hope he gets answers, and I hope Bryan puts his foot down and does what's right for Ollie, and for once, not Missy.

DailyUltrasounds Part 25

Is she serious? She doesn't know what to do with the dead skin leftover after a blister. Just pull it off, God. Stop being a child and wash your damn feet cause those were truly disgusting.
ETA: They couldn't bother to skip his naps and get him tired for his appointment, but it was fine to do it when they wanted him to sleep on the plane so they wouldn't have to deal with him.

I think that particular plane ride showed her that skipping his nap won't tire him out and make him sleepy. Every kid is different with that kind of thing. If the doctors office recommended she keep him awake so he'd be tired during the test and she knew that wouldn't work then she did the right thing by letting him nap. He seemed to do fine during the test.

They really need to start feeding him something other than pb+j's. That's what he has for lunch every damn day.
And Missy is totally in denial that anything could be wrong with Ollie.

She got lucky that he did well during the test. Had he been any more alert (and if they hadn't already trained him to basically be a zombie) then the test would have been invalid and/or the results would have been skewed.

Mother knows best or not, you have to follow the instructions they give you for a procedure, or if you think something else is better... ask. You wouldn't believe how many surgeries I've seen cancelled because the mother decided to ignore instructions and fed their kid "only a small breakfast". They didn't want to deal with a cranky kid before surgery Image. Yeah, well we'd like your kid to not asphyxiate themselves and go into distress thank you very much. Their are rules and policies for a reason. They complained a ton about how long it took to get that appointment. Well if Ollie had started to move around even a tiny bit they would have had to wait again... and Princess would be whining that Ollie is STAT and someone else should be bumped.

Sorry for the rant, I see moms like this all the time at our hospitals and its ridiculous and compromises the care we can give the child.

(Probably a double post- sorry)

Well, technically he's now onto Uncrutables, which barely even pass as PB&Js as far as nutrition goes Image

And as for what Missy learned from the plane ride... I think she learned not to try and dose Ollie with Benadryl. I almost guarantee she thought if she did that he'd sleep, only it did the opposite and that's why she didn't want to talk about it.

I left a comment suggesting she keep the clothes for when the next baby is big enough to wear them.
If anything, she better donate them. It would be so fucking wasteful for her to throw away a bunch of perfectly good clothes that another mother could use.
I'm pretty sure she said she was separating them into donations and using them for the baby. I do the same thing, I'll say I'm throwing something out when I mean donating.

Ahhh, sorry, my bad! XD
At first watch of the vlog I misheard Missy toward the end of the scene when she was mumbling/giggling something (I thought she said something along the lines of "but I don't want to throw them out!") but what she really said was she didn't want Ollie to grow out of the clothes.

Really glad she's donating :)

The doctors didn't want him tired to make him better behaved. They wanted him tired because the seizures are morel likely to occur when a kid is sleepy. They wanted to be able to have the best possible chance of observing one of these episodes. They essentially fucked the whole test so Melissa could play "Missy knows best". They skewed the results by not following the doctor's instructions.
But Missy won't see it that way. She'll see a lack of results as a lack of medical issue. It'd be like only eating low glycemic foods for a week before you go in to get tested for Gestational Diabetes, just so that you can avoid the bad news of being told you have to take insulin. It's a false negative.
And of course Dr. Missy wouldn't give her child seizure medication, because, once again, Missy knows best.
She really does like to keep her head in the sand about anything that doesn't make them look like the picture perfect family.

Kinda like how Suzanne never noticed her kids had lisps. Or how Missy doesn't seem concerned about Ollie's language development. There could be a GLARING issue, and Bryan had better be on the lookout because Missy will never recognize it.

Maybe it's a good thing for Ollie that they are vlogging? At least anything major will eventually get called out Image

As the mom of a child with special needs, it's so frustrating to see someone take something like a potential seizure disorder so lightly!!!

It's amazing how she can just act like nothing is wrong, just because they only saw it once. Um, OK... Just because you didn't see it (while you were too busy with your pretend problems to pay attention to you kid) doesn't mean it's not happening! I would/do want to do everything I can to make sure that if my daughter has something new going on health wise, we get it checked out and taken care of! How could you live with yourself knowing that your child might be having seizures, and then talk about it like he occasionally skins his knee!?!? It's amazing to me!!

To be honest, up until this point I hadn't really seen what most of you have been saying about her being borderline neglectful toward Oliver (I just thought she was just a little less interactive than I am with my daughter), but today's vlog just solidified in my mind that she's more concerned with her well being than his. The fact that she got more emotional and upset about her throwing up on her pants than she did about the fact that they were going in for an EEG on her toddler is just astonishing....

I did not watch the whole vlog. What did Princess Missy say would not happen to her at 20weeks?

A few people stated that Oliver has had at least 3 episodes that made it to the vlogs.
Where'd You Learn That 4.40
Family Hot Tub Party 5.55
and another vlog where they are at the park, but that one I can't seem to find. Anyone else know which it is?

I thought the same thing about her attitude, but didn't want to mention because it could be argued she just doesn't show emotion. You're right though, she definitely does when it's about HER.

I would stalk my kid if I thought he was having a seizures when he first woke up. I'd go in as soon as he woke up. Not let him sit in his room until I had to get him! It's totally possible it's been happening, they just aren't in there to see it!

I think it was at a splash park with CJ and Bailey. Before March 8th, that's all I remember.

Was it "Summer comes early"? Mars 17th.
I watched it but didn't see anything special. Might've missed it though.

When she stuck her foot in the air to show the blister, I about lost my stomach. Not because of the blister but because of her heel. Holy crap girl, take care of that. My feet get rough when I only wear flip flops, I understand, but holy crap, take care of that ASAP.

Sorry, not the splash park. "We Found A Cat!" 3:33.

Back when Missy was making her green smoothies Image
