I think Samika live in a pretty small place, and she was letting Noah fingerpaint sitting on the kitchen floor. It's really not that hard!gwsb wrote:Small front yard or not they could take him out there. I let my kid (19mo) play in the front yard because she can use chalk on the driveway and sidewalk. Our backyard has no pavement and until recently was full of ash from a mega grass fire. We made it work until the grass grew back. Park and front yard AND I work fulltime unlike the lazy bumps.

Re: DailyDateNights Part 27
as i've mentioned so many times, i've been TTC since early 2012 and to see people take their children for granted like melissa does is disgusting. i cannot wait to be a mother and play with them and teach them things. kids brains are like sponges and the only thing melissa is doing to ollie's brain is turning it to mush. he's nearly 2, has limited speech, doesn't go outside (if they did, they'd vlog it, just like these 'walks with karma' - pfft!), doesn't interact with children, and when he does come into contact with them he hits and throws tantrums, just like he does when he's out away from the 4 walls of chez hollister-lanning. he is going to grow up a very sheltered child.... and when they bring the new baby home they're in for a lot of (self-inflicted) fun.
they have what, 4 months to start parenting ollie before they bring the new puppy home.... i say puppy, because that's all these babies are to missy - puppies.

Re: DailyDateNights Part 27
Missy always refers to Jackson as Ollie's best-friend, and I can't help but think she wants to keep it that way so she intentionally doesn't take him around other kids. You know, like how Ollie can't watch non-Disney, because they want him to like Disney best?usmelllikesnow wrote:Seems like the only kids he interacts with on a regular basis is Jackson, and that's through skype or whatever they do. That is actually really sad and almost scary to think of repercussions that his only friends are online.violet-kelsey black wrote:I think they should put him in a play group or daycare twice a week. he will have a lot of interaction & actually be able to do fun stuff for his age. plus the bums could have some time off to catch up on their oh so busy lives.
And having a small yard is no excuse. They picked out that house when they had Ollie, so if they weren't willing to take Karma and Ollie to the park to play, then they should've made a better choice and not got a house with a pool. It was selfish. Plus I'm pretty sure that parents in apartments manage to take their kids outside and they don't even have a yard!
I have a big backyard, but my son played on our deck most of the time when he was 2 anyway because that's where his sandbox is. Plus they have the garage. Move the car out, open the garage door and let him play in the driveway and garage. They just can't be bothered.

Re: DailyDateNights Part 27
My point with saying they have no backyard grass is that I personally wouldn't want a kid I'd have to be playing in the only spots my dog can go to the bathroom lol. They're probably too lazy to even clean after Karma.

I knew that's what you were getting at . The area beside their table doesn't have grass. There's a space big enough to hold that slide/climbing thing Ollie got for Christmas. Or definitely a sandbox. (Yes they still have the turtle with a kid kind... that's what my kid has!).spacekitty wrote:My point with saying they have no backyard grass is that I personally wouldn't want a kid I'd have to be playing in the only spots my dog can go to the bathroom lol. Ollie doesn't get to go out ever because they aren't putting in any effort. If they were, I agree that they would show it for sure. And poor Karma. So many people commented on how they should take him to the park and they still haven't shown it. Even after all the heat they can't be bothered to do it.
I think they are going to expect a lot from Ollie when the new baby comes, and that Missy is going to be very hard on him. Sure they want him to grow up a bit, but they have to actually teach him things for him to do it!

Re: DailyDateNights Part 27
Wanted to make sure , and aw those turtles are so cute lol. It will be too late but I still hope once the new baby is Oliver's age maybe 2 kids who have a temper and hit other children make a push for them to do something other than HAVE ANOTHER KID! I think them having a pool makes them more sheltered. Early vlogs they went to that beachy type community pool, I remember seeing a good dozen or so kids. But now they have their own. I don't get why they didn't pick the yard over the pool and buy those big grey or blue ones from Walmart/Target. And they could have the space for an *outdoor toy* to go...crazy idea....outside.HelloSweetie1 wrote:I knew that's what you were getting at . The area beside their table doesn't have grass. Why do they never have shoes on that kid when they take him out! I remember especially in one vlog they were at the Drs and he was running around without shoes on!

Sooooo.....today's vlog: Missy is out shopping with her sister (again). They talk about water. Ollie wakes up, eats lunch with Bryan. They go pick up Karma. They look at their fish. The end.

Bryan was acting like Oliver was a super genius when he said Woody and Blanket. Yes Bryan, he's supposed to be saying those words at his age

I've said it before, but just wanted to say it again, I'm sorry for your struggles actuallydear. i have to say this though: seeing ellie and jared make it easier. they struggled for a long time and are amazing parents who are fully engaged with their children. they know how lucky they are to be parents and how grateful they are for their family. they're truly good people.

O.M.G. Ollie is eating something other than PB&J for lunch. Way to go Bryan. Something tells me that if lazy momma were home, that wouldn't have happened.
I feel like Bryan is better with Ollie when Missy isn't around... Don't get me wrong, he's still an idiot. Your kid isn't "soooooooooo smart" because he said the word blanket, he's finally learning new words. But, at least Bryan didn't call the lion an apple or ball, lol.

I agree. Bryan had a bit more common sense, but he's been conditioned to put Missy first 100% when she's around. It's ridiculous really.littleb0586 wrote:O.M.G. Oliver never wears pants when they are home. They now know he sticks his hand in his diaper. If they don't start putting pants on him from now on then that's just gross!

My children always just had diapers on with a shirt around the house. It is hot here in the south. But I also don't have a camera on them and have all these strangers watching them. I would put clothes on them if people came over.
Also when one of my kids would start taking his diaper off...I put pants on him all the time. It prevented him from taking the diaper off.

Does anyone else feel like sometimes in the vlog Bryan is starting to talk like Phillip DeFranco? It's driving me nuts! I had when he changes his voice. So annoying.

Agreed, my daughter runs around the house in her undies when it's hot out, but like you said... We don't film our lives with a bunch of weirdos watching!FitMom wrote:HelloSweetie1 wrote:I agree. i don't watch their vlogs so don't know how often the fish is shown... but did i not just ask if they still had the poor fishy? and then BAM! in today's vlog.
