Ha, my feelings exactly!
And I agree, all that Lush stuff was such a waste of money. Plus the scents would be so overpowering, I love Lush products but only one at a time. The shop is always so overpowering with all the smell going on, can't help but think Vanessa's bathrooms would just smell like that.

Actually I prefer the body shop because Lush smells so bad to me lol. I wish I could say I liked bath bombs but they do not smell nice at to me

To be honest, I don't like either. I think Body Shop is just low quality mass produced gunk, and Lush goes bad/expires quickly and has overpowering scents. I'm not THAT picky, but I will buy more expensive bars of soap for the shower, but also just use Aveeno moisturizing body wash. We only use liquid soap in the baths and kitchen. It can be generic, I don't care, because we go through it so quickly. I don't do BBW because all they have is anti-bacterial and I don't believe in using that and it's too harsh anyway. :D

I know what you mean. I think Vanessa just gets these products because it's probably cool on Pinterest, all those moms are that way.

When it comes to body products, I am incredibly particular. I use Lush, Body Shop irritates my skin incredibly. The problem with Lush is that in the UK it's so expensive /well for me anyway/.

New apt. video is up. I don't know. I kind of like their old apt. better. I don't like all the carpet, especially with pets. It doesn't look like a place I'd be happy with. I hope it is saving them money at least. If that's the case, great. I definitely wouldn't want to stay there a long time though. Maybe I'm too picky. I would have picked a townhouse, but if the goal is saving money, I guess this is fine.

Love that she felt that there was a need to block out her cousin's last name, but did t do it for the other graduates.

I honestly think the new place is way better then ther old one. There is more room, more storage, and yeah the carpet is a drag but I'd trade hardwood for more light and windows any day! It is too bad that they aren't on the ground floor though. Tough to let the dog out with a toddler when you have to get everyone's shoes on and down the elevator

Agreed. I think it's much nicer, airy and far more room by the looks.

Lily's room looks like it's gonna be a nice place for her to grow, assuming they stick around for at least a year. She was so cute by the mirror!
The carpet isn't too nice right now but I think if she deep washes it, it could look much better.
Personally I'm not a big fan of the cabinets, not that it's a big deal.

It's definitely bigger in some ways, smaller in others. I preferred their old floor plan and being on the ground level for Lily and Benny. They have more storage for sure. Lily has a big room and closet. They have 2 full bathrooms. I think I'd like it better if it had been all wood floors again. I would get really tired of hauling groceries and Benny up and down stairs or an elevator though. I hope so much that this is just a stepping stone to owning their own home. Don't know if that's possible, but I hope so.

Is her big couch going to fit in that living room?
I think it's nice. Just a weird layout.

Yeah, the living room looked a little tight. I like the apartment though. Lots of light and trees outside and great storage.

We have laminate floors in our house, and they're pretty, but man... they look dirty after five minutes. You can't get away with anything, lol. So I don't hate the carpet, but I agree with V that it would nice to have the wood floors in the dining area.

It's a weird layout, but it looks nice. Living on the 2nd floor with a toddler definitely sucks. I hope she has nice neighbors that don't mind a lot of noise. We lived on a 2nd floor apt when my son was 2, and my neighbor would complain about every little noise my son would make.

I have no idea why anyone would want to live in an apartment with a young child. For me, after having my son, secure outdoor space is essential! And pets in an apartment? It's just cruel. The cats can't go out anywhere unless they want to risk falling off the balcony and breaking their necks (unless they're house cats?) and having to take the dog downstairs several times a day would just pee me off.

I like the new apartment, very bright but the layout to me is a little strange, I would probably have switched bedrooms because I am weird about having a toddler room next to the front door and I would have preferred the bigger closet and room, I know that the bathroom was semi-private but I don't think they have guests over that much. She will definitely need to get a nice big rug to put in the dining room to cover the carpet, I wonder where she is going to put the litter box?

It may not be ideal, but millions of people in the US have families and live in apartments their whole lives. ;) I think Vanessa will see the downsides to that apt. soon enough. I think in the long run it's going to be a major hassle with the dog when bad weather sets in again.

I agree, I would've taken Lily's bedroom. And you make a good point about it being so close to the entry. that would make me nervous. An intrutor (spelling? Sorry) came in, it would be easy to grab her and leave without them knowing. But that's me, I'm paranoid like that. Lol.
I don't think Lily would wonder off but you never know. I just rather be close to the entry. Like I said, I'm paranoid & worry about stuff like that. Lol.
And I didn't even think about Benny. That's going to be a bitch taking him out. She can't leave Lily up there when she takes him out, so Lily will have to come with her unless David is home. Annoying, But she will be happy that she has to take stairs since it's a workout, lol.
Other then those, and having that huge ugly couch in that small living room, I think it's nice. I love all the windows. And they seem to have a nice view.
It's a lot better then her old place. Except I would want the downstairs.

I'm guessing they chose the back bedroom as their own due to David sleeping during the day. Right now he sleeps in Lilys room so it is quieter. This way he can sleep in his own bed and not have to sleep in hers.
