Re: 2011TeenageSelfEsteem360 Part 21
I agree I enjoy that she's actually being more herself now instead of trying to be what she wants people to see. As weird as it sounds I wish she would show more of how her and David's real relationship is. In one of the apartment videos she shows David sitting on the floor and then turns the camera off because David made an inappropriate comment. I guess it's good she took it out for her young viewers if it really was inappropriate but I just want to see what they are really like. Alot of couples make dorky dirty comments to eachother jokingly so she shouldn't get embarrassed. I think they have a good relationship off camera but she feels awkward showing people it so it just makes their relationship seem really awkward to me. Sorry if this makes no sense at all lol
Re: 2011TeenageSelfEsteem360 Part 21
No Kryptonite that was a legitimate question I was so wondering what the difference was between a Target and a Super Target. I thought their stuff wod be like Costco bundles I'm an idiot lol!!
So does anybody know if David is ever going back to school? I was just wondering because I can't remember hearing any updates besides him "taking a break".

Re: 2011TeenageSelfEsteem360 Part 21
Ah, I didn't know the difference either. Target died in Canada. I just assumed it was like the "super" Walmarts.
I wonder what David's plans are too, but I don't think anyone should do school until they're ready to commit to an area of study or job training. It's pointless, IMO, to go to university until you know for sure what you want to do and what credentials you'll need. Sometimes I think it is better in places where high school grads take a gap year (or two). Not everyone knows what they really want to do at 16 or 18. Hopefully he'll figure it out soon if he hasn't already. I think some people have a better idea about college at 21 than they did at 18 or younger.

Maybe, Gypso.. But I think that the exposure to different areas of academia can help point people in the right direction. A lot of people start going to school for A, then take an elective that they then find really interesting and switch to B. What I graduated with in university I had no intention to study when I enrolled. I also see quite a few people take a "year off" that turns into never starting up again. I'd like to see David take a class or two online to try and find his passion/career job.

You people attack each other and bicker more than you talk about Vanessa. I bet she gets a kick out of that. Anyways, still trying to figure out why she locks up her dog when she lets the two cats with shit and piss infested paws walk all over her bathroom sink. And yeah, don't try and say they're cleaner than dogs because that's just nasty.
Hopefully she gets the cats neutered! That would solve the spraying issue most likely.

Well he did try university and college so far. That's how we distinguish it in Canada. I don't know how else to distinguish it in the US. It's sort of the same, right? But it's all called "college"? Both of my daughters ended up switching majors. My oldest did this 3 times in university, which was ridiculous because then she went to a 3 year college for a "degree". Now she has to go back to university for 2 years for a bachelor in this new area, and then 2 more years for Masters, etc. I personally think all education is good, even if you do change your mind. The problem is it costs so much and you end up in debt with no prospects sometimes.Mamaandmore wrote:Maybe, Gypso.. On the cats. Hell yes! She better get them neutered. I hope Benny is neutered also.

That's one of the crappy things about college in Ireland. You can't really pick and chose classes. You apply for a course, and the classes that go with it are already set. So if you decide what you are studying is not for you, you have to apply for another course. If it's in something totally different, you have to start from the beginning again. Like I'm doing a bachelor's in Software Engineering, and didn't get to pick any of the classes.

That sucks. I've heard that places like Denmark (I think!!), you do these general tests that tell you what program you're allowed to enter? So in a way that's even less choice too?MakeupGirly wrote:That's one of the crappy things about college in Ireland. You can't really pick and chose classes. I think V looks good in the strapless dresses. I do really like the lace sleeves on the other. I think even a sweetheart neckline woth the lace sleeves would fit her well just as long as the whole dress isn't lace

I changed my major 3 times as well lol I still got to graduate on time though because here in the states the first 2 years are basically all general Ed classes, unless you do something like nursing. So I agree that he should take a few classes and see what he's interested in because they will prob count for almost any major. But I feel like David is just not motivated to go to school or find his passion/career path. He seems to be fine with his life now. Which is unfortunate because an education would give him the ability to provide a much better life for lily.gypsophila wrote:Well he did try university and college so far. Maybe he still plans to go in the military. I can see waiting until they're married. His brother is/was in, right? I know it's a scary proposition, but it's also a way of getting a specialized education. I have no idea if he's considering it or not. I think it might be a good path for them, but it's a difficult one for sure.
In university here, IIRC, you only do a couple of electives a year, and the rest are in line with your major. So none of her 3 years of university transferred to anything, since she switched majors and dropped her French minor. Bleh. It's a process for everyone. Some know right off the start, others don't. My youngest daughter changed only slightly in her field, in hopes of having better job prospects.

I'm thinking her final look will be a beaded sweetheart bodice with a chiffon-like skirt. She doesn't seem to like lace that much. I don't know about the whole backless in October thing, but whatever, it's a trend.mommaof2cuties wrote:I think V looks good in the strapless dresses. I do really like the lace sleeves on the other. On university and college, I think unless you really know what you want to do and it's a passion; it's not easy to stick to and better to take a gap year. Always pick something you would love to do for life or it just feels like a waste of time or as Daria puts it " Waking up in your 40's to a job you hate because you were forced to make the descision in highschool "
My cousin started Uni for nutrition, something she wants to do in life, but she's recently dropped it and moved back home. From what my aunt told me, my cousin had been studying non-stop in her last two years of high school so it was repetitive and she had hoped that uni was different, it wasn't. She couldn't get a job, her parents had to wire her money, she hated it. So she's taking the year off, working and will re-enrol next year and luckily she will keep all her points. Which frankly I don't think is a bad thing. My sister wants the next year off when she is done with high school this year and work and travel. Which I think is also a good thing.
My best friend went straight to uni after highschool and is soon to finish her bachelor. But she is also someone who actually likes studying. And with work, both her and partner saving for travelling ( and possibly and engagement on his half ) I think she likes her life to constantly busy.
Gap years are a funny thing because frankly I don't think it's terrible to take one. Constantly studying goes to your head. Having a break and going back will be more refreshing. But the downside is some people never go back to uni because they make to much money working. It's a either way situation.

In the name of the moon, I shall gossip about you.
Re: 2011TeenageSelfEsteem360 Part 21
I agree that gap years can be both positive and negative. Guess it depends on your personality.I personally can't imagine taking a gap year because I want to be done with school asap, so even when I had no idea what I wanted to do I took general classes because not graduating on time wasn't an option for me. Luckily it worked out because I'll have my masters at 22 and will be done forever. I would hate still being in school older than that, like David, Vanessa, and other gap year(s) people will be. Vanessa is still taking those summer classes now right ? I think it's weird that she barely mentions it in her vlogs. Like I keep forgetting she's in school.

I wonder if V will even want another baby by the time she's planning on possibly having the next?

I really liked the lace dress on her. I thoughts she looked so classic. That might be a little biased because I love lace. I don't think she'll get it though, it seemed like she didn't care for it that much.

Re: 2011TeenageSelfEsteem360 Part 21
I liked the one with lace that she didn't take a still photo of in the video. She must not have liked it. Those sample dresses did not fit well. Most were way too big and one looked a bit tight in the back but loose in the front. I think she's tried on nicer ones in the past. She looks good in the fitted bodice and slightly poofy skirt. Like a ballgown style, but less poofy if that makes sense. There is nothing wrong with her figure, I'm not saying that at all.
