My gen eds bored the crap out of me. History of east Asia, no importance to me. It was painful.

With that being said, I stayed in school, if you have classes that bore you but you get through them, that says a lot about your determination to succeed

The way she talked about school made me nervous, and not just that she thinks it's boring. She did that glossing over thing which makes me think she's hiding something. "Summer session is ending and then Fall semester starts, so that will be another thing I'll be doing." Ok...? Thanks for the details? I'm kind of thinking Snow White might be right.

I think it's great she got a job she's excited about. Sending e-mails though? I hope she brushes up on her grammar.

I wonder if her mystery vacation will be visiting Tracy again.

I have a hard time believing you've never had a class you hated, even if it wasn't because of the subject, but a bad professor. I'm with lovehound on this. I hated gen eds and im dreading next semester because I got last pick on classes since I'm a transfer student and they all suck. My motivation for graduating is to get a degree for my career, not to be engaged. If I do enjoy a class, I see it as a bonus. That's why I think it's so important for Vanessa to have a plan with going to school. So when she's taking those awful classes, she can think of her goal and push through it.

The way she glossed over school and how it was boring to talk about makes me think she dropped most (if not all) of her summer courses. When she was taking 2 online classes at University of Phoenix she would constantly talk about how she needed to get her hw done and when her assignments were due. If she was really taking 4 summer classes she'd be beyond busy and stressing over deadlines (and using school as an excuse for her late uploading). My guess is she doesn't want to fall from the good graces of ytmd since everyone has been singing her praises lately. When i'm in school i'm so stressed out and busy I don't plan mid semester vacations, some classes drop you after a certain number of absences.

School isn't for everyone.
But I did get the feeling that maybe she isn't telling the whole truth. Also...she just moved to SC. Her school is in NC. It is totally illegal for her to be in a different state but pay in state tuition vs out of state. If she doesn't transfer to another school in her new state she could get in loads of trouble.

I am so happy for Vanessa and her new job and sooooo jealous! Haha. That is like the ultimate dream stay at home Mum job, she will be free to do drop off and pick up from preschool every day which is so important and very rare to find! In my area a job like that would be gone in 2 seconds flat probably to a Mum who was extremely over qualified with ridiculous amounts of experience. She is so lucky and it is such an awesome step forward!

Now I'm getting paranoid. I didn't think she glossed over school, but what you and others have said does make sense. I would really hope that she doesn't just put on a front to make anyone here like her, because that doesn't work and it all comes out in the long run anyway. So I hope she is more informative about school in the future. She can't really win here, until she produces a degree or explains what courses she is doing and when she'll actually finish.

I agree, LoveHound. I HAD to take Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Environmental Psychology for my degree. I hated both and felt like quitting. However, I stuck it out, passed them, got my degree and thankfully don't have to take either again for my graduate degrees. Not every course is exciting to every person. Besides, if what the person who commented earlier is true, that V is only finishing up Math courses before moving on to specialty ones, then I can see why she thinks it's boring. Math courses are of no interest to me.

I thiiiink she can use her mom's address on everything and still be fine, which is actually what I would do seeing as that's more of a permanent address. Also, if she's a dependent on like tax forms and things it's actually encouraged she uses that address. So I'm sure she'd still be fine, especially if she lives so close and her mom is still in NC.

My only concern with her using her mom's address is that she's so public about living in SC. I'm sure people around her (and maybe even teachers) know about her youtube channel because it's kind of a cool thing to have that many subscribers.

Most neighbor states offer tuition equivalency so I'm sure she's not considered a true out of state student.

Especially to those who live near the state line. My niece lives in one of the Alabama counties that Mississippi State offers instate tuition to.

Ok, I think something is really fishy about Vanessa being in schol. I'm supposed to believe that she's juggling these courses, being a SAHM, taking these vacations, planning a wedding and now having a part time job!? Something isn't adding up here.

I don't think put pressure on any of these girls to produce a degree. I don't think it's necessary for everyone to go to college. Just be honest.

Unfortunately NC/SC does not offer that. Something I'm definitely pissed off about at the current moment. Haha

I find it weird that whenever she was walking the trail once a day, its all we heard about. Now, she takes 4 online classes n she doesnt bring it up at all.. no "sorry no vlog, busy with school" or an IG pic of her doing school work. I'm not saying that she quit, but maybe dropped a few or just isnt that serious about it. Who knows. PS who the H filmed that life update vid? Lily!?

Her speech therapist is one that the school system set up/provided for her (she mentioned it way back when Lily was evaluated) and she would not continue to have sessions with Lily across state lines. Vanessa posted a pic of her therapist at their house which means they are in NC, most likely the same county as before.

I hated every one of my classes even the ones focused on my major because I just hate school. It didn't matter if the teacher was cool I just wanted a degree and wanted to gtfo ASAP.

V always exaggerates the truth so I take what she says with a grain of salt. I think it's a waste of money for people to sign up for classes knowing they aren't going to commit. I'm positive she gets financial aid and I hope she sticks to school because there are people out there who get denied and nothing pisses me off more than someone who irresponsibly wastes government help.
