I know Ken knew they were trying, but he just had zero reaction. Heidi wears the pants in that relationship and I get the impression he doesn't say no to her very often. I hope they can afford another one or I can't imagine the pressure he must feel.

Making Ken get up early to take pregnancy tests is a little crazy IMO. It just needs to be concentrated urine. Just because she gets up at 4 or 5 to pee, doesn't mean she can't do a test later if she goes back to bed!

I'm pretty sure she gets up that early to edit their dailys.

And she wasn't testing "every day", just at the end of her cycles.

Sorry I sound like I'm on the defensive - I just like Heidi. Found her through Missy back in the day and I like how Heidi talks about her stillbirth and does actual mom vlogs...
Oh, you are entitled to your opinion, defend away Image. I just think it's a little unfair to wake him up early since he has to go to work. If live tests are that important, then maybe she could wait and not test so early in the cycle (which I know is hard to do).

Then again, I also think it's weird to test when you're at someone else's house.... and it's their kid's birthday. I think vloggers are very different though Image

Just watched it...Ken cried..how is that no reaction?

Off topic..but I cannot watch them, Kim's voice and mannerisms are so irritating.

Just rewatched to see how if I missed something.

You mean he cried when he took his glasses off and rubbed his eyes? I see that as a stress thing from my husband all the time when he's under pressure Image

Lol at Ken having to call people at 6 am. I wonder if they went up and woke B&M up too!

Can we go back to B&M? I don't watch Heidi and it's been all about her on the thread for a few pages, kind of OT.

Ollie birthday's party awesome! Well organised, Ollie had a blast, cake was looking good. Very nice!

I fully agree with the presents, especially from B&M, in my opinion the water toy was more than enough for him. She could have bought him clothes with it (this kiddo is always in the same kind of clothes).

For the guests... well can't blame as people tend to buy toys as a gift. I am always asking the parents for baby/toddler as I think we live in a world of massive consumption, they don't need that much at this age. But it's difficult to explain to people diplomatically that you don't need that.

Today's vlog...

Poor Mithy (they are busy, she's tired and run off her feet, blah blah blah)

She had a dream the baby was falling out of her, and people were trying to push it back in.

They "surprise" Ollie with DL for his birthday. (It's not much of a surprise when he goes every month. That's like taking your kid to McDonald's for normal people. Also, I feel like a "family trip to DL" would include Mimi and the clan. Not sure what the deal is with this random trip).

Bryan tells everyone Heidi has "big news".

They meet up with Heidi's sister, who we never see after that. We also don't really see Missy with Heidi.

Many, many montages.

Ollie has a minion toy, he throws it over an edge and they just leave it. He seems fine to have just lost his new toy.

More pushing Buzz on Ollie. Toy shopping in the Tomorrow, and store that has all the Buzz stuff. Missy says now Ollie needs a Zurg. Bryan slams the "toy soldier" toys because they would be a mess. (Ironically Bryan, those silly soldiers can keep a kid occupied for HOURS and can last years).

More montages (I skipped them).

Bumped into Louise from Sprinkleofglitter. She gave Ollie the light up ice cube from her cocktail. She was nice. Joey Graceffa and his usual crowd waited for her in the background and had ZERO interest in whoever Bryan was (lol, that had to hurt).

They checked into a modest motel room (my opinion, not something they mentioned). They (B&M) were happy because it was Woody themed. (Kudos to them for staying in the same place as K&H and not just booking their usual luxury room/hotel suite. That said, if we see K&H at a different hotel we know DBs are saving money!).

I actually really liked Ollie's birthday blog, his party looked really organised and fun, you can tell everyone enjoyed it (and I'm a huge Buzz fan, so :p).
As for the present I don't think the amount was the problem, I'd get a similar amount of toys every birthday. Difference is my dad worked hard for the money and both parents made sure I appreciated every little thing. B&M spend money like there's no tomorrow and don't seem to know the value of money, so Ollie will just grow up to be a spoilt brat with no appreciation for his presents or how hard the giver had to work.

I do think Ollie got too many presents. If they knew they had a lot of guests coming, they should have known they had a lot of presents coming their way. Also, pretty sure that about 80% of those toys were at least ages 3+. I think the water table and the sit n spin were really the only age appropriate ones. Maybe the tools set. All those toy story ones (especially Mr Potato Head, with all the little pieces) are most likely meant for older children. Just because the kid liked toy story for a min, doesn't mean he needs to own every piece of merchandise right now.

For my son's 2nd birthday, we had many family and friends, seemed as though Oliver's guests was sporadic in relation to the family. Did Missy even send out invitations? I made sure to inform guests that gifts are pretty optional, but if desired that they could bring clothes (such as winter clothes that he can wear for the upcoming season) or small toys, such as balls, trucks, books, or any outdoor toys since his birthday is during the beginning of summer. His "big" gift always came from us. I never find a need for a two year old to get a million different toy figures, stuffed animals, or noneducational items that they will quickly grow old and bored of, while smaller things like books or different recreational balls (soccer, baseball, football) can provide a tremendous amount of use and are relatively cheap. Hopefully Oliver likes Toy Story for a long time because he definitely has everything he could want regarding that interest.

Do you really tell people what type of presents to get? Or is it more of a they ask what he needs, then you say clothes? I know it's kind of off-topic. Just curious.

I have no idea if I'm responding in the right way - never responded before! But I totally meant it in the if they ask what kind of present they should bring, I make a suggestion!

I'm not sure how buying YT views works, but if they were that popular, wouldn't their channel intro video have way more views? They were also barely recognized at Vidcon. I have a feeling other YTers suspect that they buy views.

I could almost see her being a bit jealous of HEIDI today. You could see it in her face cos HEIDI got some attention for her pregnancy. Missy is always about her not about anyone else.

She is probably not going to put up that bumpdate, she would of had it up by now.

Bryan overuses MONTAUGES, I think it's a cheap way out of editing. HEIDI and Ken's vlog never had any and was more enjoyable.

I was surprised that Mimi , papa, Cassie and Jimmy was not there with them.

The presents were fine. They have the money and it's Ollie's last birthday as an only child. I think it will start being a problem by his next birthday, if they keep buying him all these useless toys he's going to become quite entitled. And I'm happy Heidi and Ken were there, I really like them and Rosalind is beautiful.

Tips for anyone going to Disneyland overnight, stay in a cheap hotel nearby instead of the actual Disney Hotel. You'll save hundreds, and they usually have free shuttles to the park. The only downside is it's not Disney-themed so you don't get that experience.

bryan is a lot cooler when hes not trying. like in heidi kims vlogs, I liked him a lot. Missy is blah, but bryans not that bad. In his own vlogs though he drives me crazy because he tries soooo hard to cater to the 13 year olds that idolize them like grav3yard girl does. Drives me nuts. Next thing you know bryan will be doing shopkinz videos on his channel, but I guess if thats where the money is to be made then he gotta do what he gotta do. Theres no intergrity in the vlogs anymore though and I think the daily bumps is one of the worst for trying to change themselves to cater to their audience for the views compared to the other daily vloggers. Bryan isn't stupid though, he knows what hes doing, and hell yeah hes buying views.
