I think it's a hospital brand but a dollar store test showed my pregnancy before FRER did. They're actually really good tests.

The Dollar Store tests are more sensitive than hospital brands.

Many women I know used cheap tests to get an early positive but then didn't test positive yet once at the doctors office.

Honestly, I think it can't be determined whether they lied or not because her pregnancy (if true) was an unhealthy one, and her beta HCG level would not be in the normal range. It would be low. Other women can test, but it can never be the exact same variables, so the validity of Sam's claims can't ever really be verified 100%.

if you hear his excuse on the surprise pregnancy test, he says she doesnt flush because she doesnt want the baby to wake up.

In the ABC video he says she doesnt flush the toilet ever since they got married.

In her defence, we do similar at night due to the fact that we live in a small house and don't want to wake the kids. Sometimes in the morning, you forget to flush simply because you'll have a toddler hanging round your ankles demanding food and a story. You go with the thing that will get you caffeine the fastest. At least we do anyway.

Flushing is just a habit. I could never not flush. I find that weird. Does that mean she doesn't wash her hands after peeing?

I'm interested in someone very early in pregnancy trying this... Pee all night, no flushing, and then do the test. If you're like 4-6 weeks preggers, like JUST FOUND OUT and confirmed it... I want to see if it works!

I'm just so skeptical. If they were better actors, and she didn't automatically go to "did you get a dropper out of the toilet" even though he never mentioned anything about a dropper... Maybe I would believe it. But common'!

You're right! Why would she assume he used a dropper? That doesn't seem like a thing you'd say. Instead you'd think she'd refer to the toilet water itself and not the method it was retrieved

And if she did ask about how he didn't, wouldn't her first thought probably be if he stuck a test in the water if she really had no idea he'd done it? That's the kind of test she used in the prank she did on him, the one that has the end you can dip in a cup or something. So wouldn't she just assumed he used one like that and not that he brought one home from work?

It makes more sense to me that she would assume it was one from his work - do you think that this is the first time he's brought one home? They've been trying for months, they would have been testing regularly I imagine. She's probably used a bunch of tests from his work.

In my eyes the smoking gun that the announcement was staged (whether or not the pregnancy was real I'm not sure) was the lack of toilet paper. After a night of multiple trips to the toilet with no flushing - there was no toilet paper. Q.E.D. Case closed. Boom.

So, I was 2 1/2 weeks late and didn't think much of it because I tend to have irregular periods.
But anyways, I took a pregnancy test and it was clear positive.

I'm going to try what Sam and Nia did, pee in the toilet at night and leave it there until I wake up. I'll let you know tomorrow morning what the result is.

But, and this is important to note, I peed in the toilet and left it there for just ten minutes, came back to it, did another test, and it was a very faint positive. That's just sitting in the toilet for ten minutes. So I'm almost certain that tomorrow's results will show a negative. Not only did she leave it in the toilet all night, but she must have been drinking beverages throughout the day which already that in itself dilutes the urine to be un-able (or hardly) be able to detect a pregnancy.

So, we'll see. Obviously there's other factors to consider, but I'm pretty much the same weeks she (would have been) if she were actually pregnant.
