Did they seriously say they were worried about Ollie getting jealous about furniture? They need to get a book or two about normal growth and development.
And they probably put the books out of reach because he rips them apart. Hint: buy kids that age board books!

Totally called it!!! COPYCATS! But does that really surprise us? They can't think of anything original! Unfortunately the minions are going to say "OMG! What a great idea!!" When in reality they stole it from Allison most likely! And that room is NOT for a 2 year old! They did it for them not Ollie.

I'm getting a bit of a teenage girl vibe in the room honestly. I guess it's mainly the bedding? The room doesn't really feel like a two year old boy's room. But I guess maybe he'll grow into it and make it more his own as he gets older?

Ollie is going to think every animal is a cow and that it moo's. It's not that hard to teach your child that a decoration is not going to hurt or harm them. If they really thought he would be soooo scared of it, why even bother putting it up?
Also, books are so CHEAP, especially children's books. B&M could go to a goodwill and get so many books for a dollar a piece! Even if they wanted new books, they are not very expensive to purchase. I can't imagine those inserts for the projector are less than $15.

I honestly wouldn't accuse them of copying anyone in particular. This theme and decor (ie: the tipi, "Be brave," etc) is extremely, extremely popular right now. It's also constantly on my pinterest feed and on hipster IG pages I'm forced to follow when I enter giveaways. Lol.

They will change the room again in a year.
He is 2! If he likes Toy story and frozen why not make that his theme? She had already bought the bedding for toy story.

Daily Bums- DailyDetachedParenting Part 32

Is it bad that I laughed so hard when Ollie hit Bryan? And I snorted when Bryan told Oliver to be sorry but didn't even tell him what he's sorry for! He's not going to learn by the time Finley arrives and they are running out of time!

Wow, theme is definitely not camping. I don't know how the strong Native American influence has anything to do with "adventure". Im not normally someone to care about people's ignorance to cultural appropriation... But wow lol. Came off as tacky suburbanites.

With that said though, they decorated it a lot better than any of their other decorating.. Which comes off as really cheap and mismatched.

Did they seriously say that Oliver was going to be jealous if Finley starts getting new stuff as an excuse to completely re-decorate Oliver's room for probably the 4th time in his 2 years of life? He's 2, he doesn't even know the difference between bad and good! I can't believe they didn't leave anything from his old room decorations! The dresser looked like it matched!

Im just not big into the theme... its more like a room for a child than a little toddler... if they had done this when Ollie was 5 I would have gotten it but now I feel like they are pushing him to be older/mature.

Since when is Oliver adventurous? How many times has he ran around in fields like Bryan mentions? Lol

Ollie's new room doesn't look like it's for a 2 year old. It looks more like a room for someone who is 10 years old. Plus what's with the sheep skin rug/mat on his bedside table, with a lamp on it? That lamp will get broken soon considering he can now roam freely in his room at night.

Little kids can be rough with books. That doesn't mean you bolt them to the wall feet above his reach. He'll have an easier time getting the iPad.

This room isn't a camping theme. It's not an adventure theme. It's a Native American theme. Ugh. Cultural appropriation.

So now Ollie can't reach the books and only they can? Great, that kid is screwed.

Yup. Another reason to prove they're morons.

I read this really nice literature last year on Native Americans and it talked about how her mother cut her long black braided hair off and laid in the drawer and they were moving to Chicago and she had to fit in with others, and how the daughter was visiting a museum with a bear in it and she said "this is not where he belongs" or something similar. Maybe I don't remember it right, but I just remember it was really nice to read, and I think it was even based on the author's childhood. I'll look and see if I can find the title and remember it. Maybe B&M need a quick read, if Pissy reads that Outlander shit, she can read it!

This shit makes me sick.

They lack creativity and any social awareness at all.
This was literally my first thought. Nothing says "we're socially oblivious" like cultural appropriation.

I'm not a fan of Ollie's room let alone the theme. He's still a baby, not some hipster teenager. I don't why they couldn't do a toy story or Disney themed room.
