Um, ok. That's clearly directed at me because I pointed out that Bryan's mom being vilified is a recent development. He speaks highly of her and seems to love her. It's obvious she's shut out because of Missy.... just like Gram's stuff that you mentioned has disappeared. It's a control thing. Missy can't share Bryan's love and attention.

So sorry for the FFS and not saying it gentler? But geez, for some reason everyone is quick to believe Bryan when he makes it sound like he was a neglected kid, and not a teenager with attitude. He's awful to people now, why would we expect him to have been any different before? Weren't his first words to Missy a call-out?

Oh yeah, and he lies, so it's possible he's rewriting his story to make Missy a little happier. It's also possible she encouraged him to find his father because it would be a giant FU to Bryan's mom and she hoped it would create distance.

I have two sons, and if my son was pushing me away like what we've seen, I can't say I'd be half as gracious as Nancy about it.

Just my row cents, but I have to agree with the people saying that if they did spend serious floor time with Ollie or take him to the park (they did--ONCE) they'd be vlogging it, because they're supposed to be showing us "life's ups and downs", and those are definitely "ups". When the highlight of the day is going to Target and watching Frozen, that's just sad for Ollie. Do they let him help when they do cook? He's old enough to mix stuff. I don't think he is "neglected" or unloved, I know Bryan loves him for sure. But considering that they stay at home with him, and neither of them have to work, and everything that is available to do on Southern California, he could have a much better life. San Diego has a wonderful children's museum, and LA has a bunch too. What frightens me is all t he little kids watching them thinking that they are great parents and a wonderful couple.
That article about Bryan growing up made me a little sad. He talks about growing up with strong women, and look what he married. Being a manipulative whiner isn't the same as being strong.

No hard feelings. I completely agree with some of the points you've made. Sometimes people immediately get annoyed then others don't want to participate in the discussion. I was just trying to point out things can be discussed without immediately getting snarky or going into attack mode. I can't keep up with how fast this topic goes so if I bring up something already discussed I apologize.

I wasn't aware we were turning this board into a "let's find all the good in Bryan and Missy and completely disregard everything else we've seen over the last 2 years."

It's so easy to put on an act and look interested in your child while the camera is on. Really, it isn't a challenge. Most of any family time including Oliver is montage style so it's all set up and fake.

Hey, I'm all about having your own opinions on the bunch, but don't come into a trash forum with your "not minion love" (right) and try to change any of our minds. I will never think Bryan and Missy are good parents, let alone good people. They suck at all aspects.

And your over use of the word fallacious is super obnoxious.
Sure Oliver isn't neglected physically, but mentally and socially he is. I grew up with a mother addicted to the Internet, so I know what it's like to have your parent be present, but be totally tuned out of your existence. One of the many reasons I can't stand Missy and her fucking obsession with her phone.


I think he's pretty neglected physically as well. Not as much as mentally and socially and emotionally. But christ, Missy doesn't feed Ollie anything healthy. She prevents Bryan from buying vegetables because SHE doesn't like them. She's barely the one who feeds Ollie anymore, Bryan does. And I'm wondering if Bryan has decided to take more control because he too realizes that Missy does a shitty job at feeding Oliver anything nutritious. She feeds him garbage and thinks that good enough. Hey, it's food! But it's not. It's garbage. It doesn't benefit Ollie in any nutritious, healthy way. Feeding Ollie garbage just makes him feel full. But it doesn't benefit him at all in the moment, and especially not in the long run. So I think she's pretty neglectful physically as well, but that's just me.

Today's' vlog she literally needed Cassie to help her walk Karma 10 feet.

She told Ollie not to knock over a chair, and watched while Mimi came over to pick it up for her.

I guarantee she waited until Mimi or Cassie couldn't stand the smell anymore and changed Ollie for her.

She gave herself props for doing her hair.

She needed the help of two people to take her two year old to the doctor.

Oh, and Finn's lullaby...

I thought it was good for a second ort so, and then the volume suddenly got louder or something and Bryan's voice became shrill. I think the sentiment is nice, but the song isn't great.

When did Bryan write a lullaby for Ollie? So He wouldn't be jealous of Finn?

I think what makes it worse is Bryan tries to prove he's attracted to Missy so he's constantly initiating the PDA along with the cutie with the booty remarks. I remember when they were showing off that they had given each other hickeys. Eww! He tries to be like Shay in that aspect but it's just not working for Bryan it comes off forced and fake.

He wrote Oliver's lullaby before Finns because when he announced the ep he had said it would be on the ep.
