He's an egotistical poser, grown-ass manchild who probably cheated on his wife with dudes at the "gym," constantly brags about everything he spends money on, monetizes his son's lullaby, makes awkward and uncomfortable jokes, sings shitty songs in a terrible voice that's only marketable to ten year olds, and is a disgusting slob. If he's such a great parent why doesn't he ever read to Ollie, teach him things, etc? This isn't the 50's, it's not just Missy's job. You're right. Two wrongs don't make a right.... BUT!!! from what I've seen he makes an effort with Ollie AND does all that is needed to keep this YouTube thing rolling so they can keep a roof over their heads, food in their stomachs (which, he cooks or else have to they eat out) and buy All The Things. Literally all Missy does is incubate her children and sits on her phone. She is not the one networking, editing and bringing in the money for her family. Her husband is. So he gets props for that. Just like she would if the situation was reversed... But she does nothing. She is evil, so by comparison Josh Duggar would look less evil next to her.

I really don't get people like Missy. How can a grown ass woman be so reliant on her Mother? This girl literally can't do anything on her own. She can't even take her child to the Doctor on her own. I am surprised she can even take a dump alone without Mimi there to wipe her ass. And when Mimi or even Cassey are unavailable Bryan is the next option/slave. Her own Husband is second best and sometimes even third best when Cassey is around. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mum. I would do anything for her and I am so grateful for her. But my Mum lives a 2 hour round trip and has her Husband, work, friends and her own life. She can't just drop everything to come to a doctors appointment with me (she would if I asked her too, of course). Plus I am a grown up, I can go alone or with my Husband. I have never seen or met anyone like Missy. She really is pathetic.

Relax. One person has been defending Bryan and playing devil's advocate. No one has been kissing his ass or anything. She's the only one that's actually even seen him in person, and the story doesn't actually seem that far fetched to me because we have seen Bryan exhibit kindness and manners in certain situations (like with Ellie's mom).

Yes he's a total douche and probably a scammer. I think a lot of the attention seeking is desperation and issues that have been created by the Hollister dynamic. I get the impression that Bryan was raised better than that, but he's so controlled, emotionally a unused and manipulated by Missy that he he's starved to have someone compliment, notice and love him.

I was a victim of domestic violence. Emotional and mental abuse are real and often worse than physical. What Missy is doing to Bryan and now Ollie is incredibly sad. She treats them the way she does to keep them trying hard to please her. It become a sad, sick, twisted challenge. Classic narcissism. Make your partner or it around you catering to all your needs and bestowing the attention you feel you deserve. Know how kids fit into that? They are competition. Know what happens to the friends and family of victims? The abuser finds a way squeeze them out so the victim is alone for maximum control.

Bryan's situation is actually sad IMO. He's an asshat for sure, but I don't think he would be a mentally abusive parent were he not with Missy. He's chosen to have more kids with her though, and continues to feed into a dynamic that will ultimately mess up his kids HARD and for that I think Bryan needs to step up or recognize that he's just as guilty at being neglectful and that he's a selfish, spineless douche. (We know you read here Bry... you and Ollie deserve better!).

Also, in the end slate he still doesn't have missy pregnant there. I feel if they are going to make things like that they should be consistant.

I don't think Bryan has any want or desires to leave Missy. I think he probably does realize she's lazy and bratty. Not to the extent we feel she is. But I don't think he wants to leave her for it.

In a world where they do ever split up (I don't see it), Missy is capable of continuing YouTube, for sure. She edited for a hot second there for the daily channel and I liked it. And her "hobby channel" used to be really planned and consistent. If she were being forced to actually make the effort or risk low income, she has the potential to survive on YT. She's just been allowed to be so incredibly lazy.

Very random on totally off topic, sorry. But I was thinking....Missy brags about how Oliver is so good and stays in his bed until she comes to get him. She talks about how proud she is. But, didn't they say he likes to sleep in a pitch black room? Missy, that's probably why he's not getting down, the poor child can't see a thing...lol. Leave a little light on for him and I bet he's down on his own.

Eh, I don't feel bad for him. I grew up in an emotionally abusive situation too, and it sucks. But Bryan is an adult who chose to remarry Missy after their divorce, and continues to have a life with her. He's still making babies with her while ignoring the ones they have, and continuing to exploit them for cash. It's a "good" situation for them both; Missy has someone to do everything for her, and Bryan gets the perfect family image he can market the shit out of and make tons of money to buy his electronic toys.

We don't know if he'd be a better parent away from Missy, and we won't unless they divorce. He doesn't really do anything for Olliver as it is, I don't see any evidence that would change.

Unless you've been treated this way by someone that's supposed to love you, you just aren't going to understand. Every word, every action, every glance is calculated to control and manipulate. They've already divorced once and end up back together, I no longer think it's possible for him to leave her (though I hope this is not the case).

I think she's so "proud" of him because if he did get down on his own, that would be one less thing she can control. And we can't have anything not going Missy's way, right? She liked* Ollie more when he couldn't do anything for himself because it meant more attention on her as a mother.

*I say like and not love because I think Missy genuinely loves Ollie, she's just absolutely horrible at giving him what he needs. Liking and loving your child (or anybody) are two very different things.

Tried to edit my post but it was too late, sorry for the double post.

Honestly even saying that she "genuinely loves Ollie" felt not entirely accurate. I think the problem is that Missy doesn't know what love is. She's extremely emotionally detached and I would blame the Hollisters instantly. Missy always talks about how good of a childhood she had living next door to her grandma and whatnot. I think their family isolated them so much that they (Missy at least) don't know how to love anyone outside their actual blood related family. It would explain her distance from Bryan and even from Ollie since he's Bryan's child. I'm sure Missy would rather produce children asexually, at least then her kids would literally be copies of her and 100% Hollisters.
