I'd rather see Ollie hold a crayon than see a filmed funeral or a filmed prayer where everyone has their eyes closed. I find it disrespectful especially since they are Christian. Any religion I'm sure finds it disrespectful to be filming other people during a prayer lol

I'm glad they had a baby sprinkle for the sole fact that there was acknowledgment of baby Finley. Sure, maybe Missy was more celebrating herself, but everyone was just celebrating Finn. And that's nice.
It's a lot better than neglecting her bump dates, and not talking about Finn at all unless she's complaining about her pregnancy.
And I'm glad that she's having a healthy pregnancy. Finley seems to be healthy (except the dilated kidney which I wish they would express/show a little more concern about) but overall, I'm happy that she didn't miscarry and doesn't seem like she will go through another stillbirth.
I wouldn't wish that on anyone. While I think Missy is a shit mother, I'm glad that she won't lose her son. Hopefully she'll realize that she could be so much better and take the steps to improve herself and her mothering. We would all support her... take a hint, Missy.

It's not "fat-shaming", it's a statement of facts. His height is in the 50th percentile, but his weight is in the 75th. That means that even though he's shorter than 50% of children his age, he's heavier than 75% of children his age. That takes a LOT of forced calories to acheive, as shorter bodies naturally want to be leaner and don't feel "hunger" as much as taller bodies, unless you train your body to ignore its natural hunger cues. Weight percentile should be equal or lesser than height. When you go too far off from that ratio, you end up with a child who is either under or over weight for their height.
There's no "shame" in being a bit huskier. But there are also health concerns with being perpetually on the heavier side, especially when it starts in early childhood. He is genetically predisposed to being overweight, which just means that B&M have to work extra hard to combat that, not use "muh genetics" as an excuse to feed their kid a piss poor diet of highly processed carbs.

He's not overweight if he's in the 75th percentile. More importantly than his weight, is if he's active and eating a variety of healthy foods. Pick on that, not his weight. You know what's going to make Ollie unhealthy? If he thinks at 2 freakin years old that he's fat. I was in fifth grade when my mom let me try dieting. I was a normal kid but thought I was fat. It's messed up.

His weight percentile is 25% higher than his height percentile. That means he's heavy for his height. Shorter people require fewer calories, and need to maintain a lower body weight for optimal health. Bryan and missy feed their 25th percentile (height) toddler enough calories for a kid in the 50th percentile. To simplify the numbers, they're essentially feeding their kid 25% more calories than his body needs to be at its ideal health level. That's not fat shaming, that's just math.

Nope. That's not how it works. It's math but not they way it's being described here. Instead you have a large sample of children that are 24 months old. Here I will make it 4 kids.

Child 1: 31" & 21 lbs
Child 2: 32" & 23 lbs
Child 3: 33" & 22 lbs
Child 4: 34" & 24 lbs

Child 2 is shorter but heavier than child 3. They are both considered NORMAL growth for 24 month olds. The weight and height percentiles woukd be as follows:

Child 1 is in the 25th percentile for weight and height.
Child 2 is in the 50th percentile for height and the 75th percentile for weight (similar to Ollie; just because your child is short and heavy proportionally does not mean you feed them too much).
Child 3 is in the 75th percentile for height while being in the 50th percentile for weight (just because your child is tall and light proportionally does not mean you feed them too little).
Child 4 is in the 99th percentike for weight and height.

Also, I think a separate shittalk thread should be started for everybody who doesn't like their bullying confronted. Or conversely, a separate rational discussion thread for those that don't like reading and confronting said statements.

Regardless of all this percentile stuff, Ollie has one of the most bloated bellies I've seen on a toddler. I wouldn't describe him as slim.

Anyways, I'm moving on. Toddlers have large bellies and heads. He might become overweight, but he looks like a normal 2 year old.
