I don't even think it's debatable. I've given birth to three children without medication, the last one was posterior with back labour. There is no doubt in my mind that c-section recovery is hands down more painful. It's major abdominal surgery. Of course it's going to be worse.
Labour isn't easy. It's hard work, it's painful, and there is definitely a recovery period. Which can be pretty painful if you've got haemorrhoids, an episiotomy or natural tears. But it's not major surgery that cuts into the core muscles of your body that you need to do literally everything.

And c section hurts like crazy. I have had both. I would go a natural birth any day of the week.
The closest I could think of was getting an ovarian cyst removal surgery in June...I couldn't even sit for almost a month!

Yet, today, who's acting like like an immature brat over over a needle? Missy. And Mimi's comforting her like a baby.
Wow. She's " so much better " than Bryan. What a bitch.
She won't be able to handle labor at all. Good luck with that VBAC, Missy.
Tooootally forgot about that! Haha. Oh, Missy...

I feel like we're going to hear crying and screaming if she has a VBAC.....if she thinks back pain is bad, why try to birth vaginally? I want a birth w/o drugs, but if I couldn't take a shot (so used to needles after infusions) I would opt for a c-section. Does it hurt bad after a c-section?

Uhhhh is this a serious question? The baby gets cut right out of you. Yes, healing from a c-section hurts. I'm not anti csections or anything, but think if you were cut open then in less than 24 hours you're expected to get up with only stitches holding your body from gaping open lol. It sucks! Can't get up to hold your babe on your own. Stings like a biotch for quite awhile. I still had tenderness 6+ months after in my uterus and I had no complications. If I could have chosen, I would have picked a medicated vaginal birth in terms of avoiding pain. My 8 hours of unmediated labor was nothing compared to after a c-section. I don't recommend opting for it ;)

I'm sorry, I don't have any kids so I'm clueless! I just can't see Princess doing anything that includes work from her, such as vaginal birth

Ok fine. C-Sections are harder than births. You win?

My point is... that you've just proven, is everyone has a story and we don't need to start playing the pain Olympics with them. That isn't what anyone is here for. Some people laboured for hours with intense contractions, only to end up with a c-section.

Now if your argument is Missy can totally handle a VBAC with back labour BECAUSE she already did a c-section, then that's different.

That's not what people are starting to argue though, and that's where it starts to seem like the personal pain Olympics.

I think Missy will have a c-section just because Princess thinks her due date is 37 weeks and if she goes past that for more than 4-5 days, she will think something is "wrong" and ask for 162937292 "second" opinions until she finds a doctor who wants to induce her or schedule a c-section ASAP.

Yep. I could also see her wanting to have Finn early so he'll be "smaller and cuter". I don't think Missy would be happy just to have a healthy baby boy if he skips the NB sized clothing.

Sorry, one more thing...

Is Jimmy not allowed to just stay home alone? Does he HAVE to go to Missy's? He always seems bored and out of place. I mean, how fun could it have been yesterday watching his sister sort her shit in the living room

I just think it's hilarious that Missy has said she has a high pain tolerance I can't wait to see her try this vbac. I can just see it now...she is pain and Bryan tries to rub her back to help with it and Missy saying "Bryyyaaan, you're not doing it right!!!! Don't touch me!!! Where's my mom??"

Or maybe trying to prove everyone (well, everyone here) wrong, will really drive her to push through all the pain and actually do it. Either way...it's going to be great!!! Can't wait to see how it all unfolds.

Goddamn, Missy was such a fucking baby in the video. I've seen children who handle a shot better than her. I have a fear of medical needles and I start blacking out sometimes, but I just focus on something else and pretend it isn't happening. Making a huge damn deal about it hypes it up and makes it far worse. Her whining about it hurting was ridiculous. You know what hurts? Labor. Missy, you have painful experience coming your way with this pregnancy, and you are making such a huge stink about a little shot? Unbelievable.

Thought I'd start stockpiling popcorn for when Finn enters the world. Do you think we'll need more than this?

No word Ollie says sounds clear, except maybe ball and food. All he does is mumble and his top lip does not move and his little jaw just looks tense.

I think if they stopped taking AT him and actually talked to him at his level he would have a better understanding of words/lip movement and would be more clear in his words.

Missy probably had her mom insert the turkey baster she used to conceive Finn. Because you know Bryan wouldn't be capable of impregnating her, only her mommy knows best.

lol I wonder if Suzanne is the type of person who doesn't allow jimmy to be home alone? I grew up knowing so many kids who were in their mid-20s and still weren't allowed to be home alone because their conservative parents thought they would bring in a girl or guy (or friends they didn't like) home while everyone was gone lol. Makes me wonder if jimmy was/is a rebellious guy lol

This needle thing has me thinking that there's no way Missy could handle the dentist either.

Have we ever seen her go? In sure she'd complain so it's not like we wouldn't hear about it.

The nurse's commentary was the best.
Has anyone else noticed that Bryan has been more flaming than usual? He did this gesture in their maternity shoot video when he was talking about Missy's hair flowing in a previous picture. It reminded me how my very gay guy friend acts. lol

Two years younger than Missy I think.

He works at the church and goes to college. He should have better things to do than spend all his time at Missy's.
