I don't even think it's debatable. I've given birth to three children without medication, the last one was posterior with back labour. There is no doubt in my mind that c-section recovery is hands down more painful. It's major abdominal surgery. Of course it's going to be worse.
Labour isn't easy. It's hard work, it's painful, and there is definitely a recovery period. Which can be pretty painful if you've got haemorrhoids, an episiotomy or natural tears. But it's not major surgery that cuts into the core muscles of your body that you need to do literally everything.
And what sucks with a C-section is that you're not allowed to pick up your baby for a while. I never had a section, but I did have a hysterectomy, and made the mistake of ignoring that "don't lift anything" and picked up my son. Wound opened back up-- yay! And I'm a nurse-- I knew better! I can't even imagine getting told you can't pick up your newborn. I mean people can hand it to you, but it's not the same.

I want a birth w/o drugs, but if I couldn't take a shot (so used to needles after infusions) I would opt for a c-section. Does it hurt bad after a c-section?

Uhhhh is this a serious question? The baby gets cut right out of you. Yes, healing from a c-section hurts. I'm not anti csections or anything, but think if you were cut open then in less than 24 hours you're expected to get up with only stitches holding your body from gaping open lol. It sucks! Can't get up to hold your babe on your own. Stings like a biotch for quite awhile. I still had tenderness 6+ months after in my uterus and I had no complications. If I could have chosen, I would have picked a medicated vaginal birth in terms of avoiding pain. My 8 hours of unmediated labor was nothing compared to after a c-section. I don't recommend opting for it ;)

I'm sorry, I don't have any kids so I'm clueless! I just can't see Princess doing anything that includes work from her, such as vaginal birth
Sorry, I realized I came off as really rude with my opening sentence. Didn't mean to!! I understand why people think she will opt for a repeat csection, because labor is not timed and a step-by-step and you're done within 30 mins. But if she does ask for the c-section, she will be in a different world of pain and of course a load of pain killers. Image

I thought with a section you could ONLY pick up the baby, nothing heavier... at least i thought thats how it worked when my sister had one 18 years ago lol!! Im sure things have changed since then. She had a VBAC with her second and handled it like a champ, all natural. Which she started natural with her first and complications arose and she had to have an ER section..

DailyUnnecessaryPurchases- Part 35

Finn's birth video is going to be a mess. I can see it now. Missy whining, Bryan's random montages, Mimi all up in Missy youknowwhatarea, Jimmy off to the side being a creepy uncle, Cassie taking care of Oliver, Oliver hitting and saying "ahahaiajahah Woody"

It's going to be a show that's for sure. Since actuallydear has the popcorn down, I'll take over the cookies.

I still do not understand why Bryan doesn't go to these doctors appointments. This is a fucking sonogram of your baby! You should be there, Bryan!

But he has to stay home and watch Oliver.

Because you know, there's no one else that can do it or anything Image

Because it's obviously Mimi and Missy's baby! Bryan's just the sperm donor!

Missy needs to step down from her high horse and just say "I'm not good with pain" and stop trying to be better than everyone. But where's her dignity? Isn't she embarrassed that her whining like a child over over a shot is all over the internet.

Oh wait, this is Missy. She loves the attention. She loves the ass kissing.

I'm actually expecting a really nice birth vlog. There is no way Bryan will let everyone top his haha. Missy AFTERWARDS however... That's what the popcorn will be for. I'm sure I'll need tissues for Finley's actual birth.

If you watch E&Js vlog you'll see she bought some coloring books and crayons to send to her nieces and nephews. Lol!!! I hope she DOES send one to Ollie since his parents don't bother.

Holy shit Missy is pathetic! I am surprised her Mum didn't kiss her "ouchie" better. I agree with everyone else saying that labour is going to be an absolute bitch for Missy. Sometimes I have to give myself 3 injections a day. Imagine if Missy had to do that. She would never cope and probably get Mimi over 3 times a day to do it. Grow a pair Missy.

I know people say not to compare one child to another, but coming from E&J's vlogs and Jackson seems a mile ahead of Ollie, despite being so much younger. When Jackson speaks, he's clear and you can tell exactly what he's saying; he's learning new words with every vlog, and he can very noticeably communicate his wants and needs, either vocally or otherwise. Oliver just screams and mumbles. :?
I was thinking the same after watching E&J's vlog and hearing Jackson say "let's go". I'm giving Oliver another 6 months and if by then his speech is still the same as it's now I would be worried if I were Missy and Bryan.

Maybe if they talked to him instead of to the camera when asking him questions, he might see better how to form words.
The minions crack me up. "Missy, you're so brave! I hate needles!" Wow. I had my daughter in stitches today doing an impression of Missy in labor. It won't translate to print, but she liked it!
