Yeah Lisa did move away, I believe she moved in with a boyfriend, they broke up and she moved back in with her parents.

Although I'm sure if she just moved far away they would have still kept in contact.

Same. And I'm afraid she's raising Jayda to be the same way, buying her so many unnecessary clothes and toys.

Jayda seems like a polite nice kid. I hate that mentality that spoiling your kids makes them into "spoiled brats". Rewarding bad behaviour makes them brats.

I agree, just because Emily buys her a lot of things doesn't instantly make her Jayda a brat. She seems to be a very smart, sweet, polite and happy little girl. I think Emily is doing a great job raising her. She probably needs to learn to say no to Jayda more when she wants things and maybe teach Jayda more about earning rewards instead of just getting things though, I think it's good to install the mentality of "work for things and earn it" than just receive it, but that's my style of parenting.

I've been watching Emily's channel off and on for years and I think she's a great mom to Jayda.

I just don't understand how she buys so much expensive things for herself and Jayda all the time. How does she afford it?! I know she finished school and has a good job now, but I mean even before this. I know she was working at a bar where i'm sure she made good money, but she just doesn't seem like she is living within her means? I'm not trying to hate I'm just trying to figure it out

She's gone through several cars, she shared a house with Brady, she's always buying a lot of stuff and doing hauls, buying tons of clothing, re-doing Jayda's room, etc. I just don't understand how she supports herself and a child on her kind of salary. Does she still work at the bar and also work at the hospital? She must be constantly working.

Don't forget too our minimum wage is higher in Canada so other jobs pay more in comparison. Hope that made sense.

I know when she first came back to YouTube she said that they basically had the down payment for the house and she's not currently paying rent so that probably explains it.

Cost of living is also higher. It all works out to be the same.

But yes, she has lived with her family on and off giving her many chances to save. What she spends on stuff would basically be rent or mortgage. The rest got saved.

Ah ok I'm starting to understand now, thanks for the info! I didn't know she was living back at her moms, I just caught up with her newest videos today and I think she said she's been back at her moms for like a year now. That's why she gets to save so much money

I'm guessing medical admin assistant is different there than it is here. Maybe they get paid more. I know a friend of mine who works as a medical admin. assistant in a hospital setting and she said she only makes about $11-12/hr. I just looked into it and wow they don't make nearly as much as I was thinking! I was actually interested in this profession years ago.

Does anyone know around how much Emily is making at her job up there in Canada? Sorry for the personal question, just interested.

I have no exact numbers, but out west (Alberta, Saskatchewan) jobs pay more because due to the oil fields there is more demand for all services (fast food, retail, hospitals).

Just looked it up, around 16 an hour. Our minimum is 10.25 to put it into perspective

So in one of her recent vlogs she mentioned how she went off the pill and got pregnant straight away. If you aren't preventing, you're trying as far as I'm concerned. I just find the whole thing to be super weird. It's her life and she can do what she wants but it seems like a really odd decision to me.

^ I agree. I believe it was only a year ago she made the two videos "baby #2 and baby blues" basically stating that she WASNT ready for a child anytime soon.....things changed that much Ina year? Doubt it. Her getting off birth control was weird to me

That's what I was thinking. It's a little bit odd. Especially because in her pregnancy video announcement she made it seem like it was an accident calling him crying and he had to reassure her like "it's okay, this is the best thing that could have happened". I forget the exact words but yeah. That and I got off birth control and we were trying are two very different things.
However I have to say she's my favorite youtuber. I love how cute Jayda is and she's so sweet and has a super cute voice. Emily seems like a hard worker too. I wish she made more videos but I understand that she's busy with work
