Aka shes lazy. How long does it take to do a freaking ponytail?!

Lilys hair is beautiful, its just curly. What was she hoping for? For Lily to have her stringy uneven mullet hair that never grows

I would love to have Lily's hair! She doesn't need to do anything amazing a pony tail would be fine. V stop focusing on yourself for a few minutes and do her hair! And the one random clip doesn't count.

Exactly and it wasnt even like V was the one that did her hair, the ppl at the boutique did it & she couldn't take it off because Davids parents were there. I know that V is embarrassed of her ears/neck thats why she doesn't do her hair

Vanessa doesn't want Lily to be teased but later on Lily will feel self conscious because Vanessa has taught her to keep the imperfections covered. How sad for Lily

I can understand Vanessa not wanting people to stare at lily, but whether she likes it or not, lily is "different" looking. So people are going to stare regardless if her hair is up or not. Lily is cute, her ears and neck makes her unique. Why hide it. Make it a normal thing, when she gets older she's never going to feel comfortable putting her hair up she's going to be self conscious.

It doesnt matter if V does surgery for Lilys neck or ears or whatever, shes still gonna have turners. But the fact that she cant even do something as simple as her hair because she's embarrassed is inexcusable. She doesn't want Lily to get teased but the truth is kids all get teased for the dumbest reason (being skinny, tall, fat, short etc)

Lily can still get teased regardless of what cosmetic procedures she has on her. She needs to talk to her daughter when she gets to that school age and tell her not to care about what anyone thinks about her, etc.

You might not have been around long enough to know that the neck surgery isn't purely cosmetic. Lily has limited movement in her neck. One side is worse than the other. It's not just skin, it's tendons and other things that need to be removed and fixed so that she will have full turning movement on her neck. The scars will be large, but it's something that is best done young so the scars have the best chance of healing well. It's a common surgery for Turner's girls.

It was wonderful seeing Lily getting her hair done at the boutique. The boutique made that little sweetie into a beautiful princess and it is what she has deserved for such a long time. Why is it that Vanessa gets hair extensions and her eyebrows done and the best V can manage for Lily is a one-time trip to SportClips (a male barbershop!!!!) Lily needed to have her hair done regularly by a beautician. I am just so glad that Lily finally got a chance to feel special and gorgeous!!

I agree with you, my son gets teased a lot I have a medium skin tone, we are Hispanics and he has very light skin and kids always call him "white boy" I always talk to him about it and I make sure he is comfortable in his own skin, it's a shame that she only cares about what people think, she is the first one making her daughter feel uncomfortable at such early age.

She said that the surgeon said it could easily be done at the same time. Maybe I'm just used to seeing Lily, idk, but are her ears that bad? On the other hand, most people end up wishing their parents had fixed (pinned back) their ears when they were kids. My brother had his ears done, but was older than 4. He was glad. I know I've read a lot from the Turner's girls perspective, and all were glad they had their necks fixed as kids. I can understand their POV. It's much worse to have to get things done as an adult, or even a teen. So I wouldn't blame them if they did both things at once.

I agree it would be easier but IMO Lilys ears dont look that bad. I mean when she was a baby they looked alot bigger because she was small but now that shes bigger she grew into them

Again that's something I don't even think about because it's all free here for Turner's girls. Would Lily be covered for her surgeries because she has Turner's and has medicaid? I was just assuming yes. It would be awful, is awful, to have to think about becoming bankrupt because your kid needs surgery. I hope it's all covered.

Not sure how much it varies state from state, but Medicaid won't pay for it unless it's medically needed (which her neck would probably be considered then) but her ears no they wouldn't cover that and V would still have some type of cost for just the neck surgery I doubt the state would just pay for all of it she would have to at least pay co-pays for the hospital stay and meds and probably pay for the all the anesthesia costs.

I'm pretty sure V said the neck and ear surgery was cosmetic so she had to pay on her own .
