2011teenageblackshirtsforever: Part 24
Re: 2011teenageblackshirtsforever: Part 24
It just irks me looking back at Vanessa's videos (especially the old ones), Dailybumps, and the few times I've watched Tayler.
(Personal)
I was a 4-H camp counselor from 14-18 and every year we had to get 24 hours of basic camp training which included CPR certification, what to do in an emergency situation (i.e. heatstroke, allergic reactions), and signs of abuse and how to report any suspicions. And this doesn't even include the training staff needs for special classes like archery, riflery, horse riding, and rock climbing. I even got certified for infant CPR when I started babysitting at 10.
(end personal)
It just drives me crazy how people can just make babies with no training whatsoever and then 14-year-olds need have to be taught all this shit just to BABYSIT 8-13 year olds for a week.
Just uggghhh.

I definitely think Vanessa needs court ordered parenting classes and Nonna definitely needs to step in until Vanessa's parenting improves.
I don't think Vanessa is going to follow her doctors advice now at all. After this whole ordeal, she took her child TRICK OR TREATING. Vanessa doesn't care and Vanessa isn't going to change.
Eta- I say court ordered, because she's too lazy to do it herself. She would miss them or just stop going after the first class. I feel if she was forced to go, she might make an effort.

Re: 2011teenageblackshirtsforever: Part 2
I wasn't suggesting she give Lily a laxative or suppository all willy nilly whenever the mood strikes her. There are suppositories on the market that are safe for children who are really bound up and need some relief. My pediatrician also recommends Miralax, which is also very safe. It can be put in the child's juice daily to help them stay regular. Of course she should speak with her pediatrician first but I'm willing to bet they've recommended over the counter Miralax every day for Lily. I'm sure now that she's suffered a prolapsed rectum the protocol will be to keep her stool soft i.e.; a mild laxative every day.gypsophila wrote:I don't know what she did before, but hopefully now Vanessa will follow a doctor's advice. I think Lily might have a larger problem, or something related to her Turner's like a GI issue. You can't just give kids laxatives and suppositories without a doctors advice, that's bad advice. You should always check with the doctor before giving your child either of those. They can lead to other problems, and mask a condition that requires treatment. They can also create a lazy bowel, or create diarrhea which also leads to prolapse.
Oh please, this is not an issue for CPS at all. Lily is fine. I trust that the doctors will set her straight on any issue related to Lily's health. She is not abused in any way. They won't step in for someone like Tayler or Krissy, they're not going to even glance at Vanessa and David.

Re: 2011teenageblackshirtsforever: Part 24
The Magic Kingdom vlog was boring, minus all the cute parts with Lily, but it was all terrible, very out of focus, the corny music that went with the montages, and Vanessa being obnoxious and filming all the Disney shows.
Re: 2011teenageblackshirtsforever: Part 24
^Tofu is also a pretty good stool softener... If Vanessa knew how to cook regular food.
I remember that from when I had a blood patch and that's what the doctor said, "Eat tofu for the next week and you won't have to take stool softeners."

Re: 2011teenageblackshirtsforever: Part 24
It really irritates me when people throw CPS around like its an easy option. Agencies like CPS are serverly understaffed and underfunded. They do not have the resources or the time to be wasting on someone like Vanessa. Is she the best mother? No. Should she look into parenting classes? Yes. Is lily neglected? Possibly.
But, there are children out there who are being molested, beaten, sold to adults for sex, living in pure filth, starved, malnourished, seriously ill and without medical care and the list goes on and on. Those are the children who need CPS and while CPS is wasting their time looking into the complaints about Vanessa and see that Lily is fed, healthy, lives in a clean home, receiving medical care and going to school, they are ignoring the thousands upon thousands of cases of children who are in desperate need of their help.
Don't throw the threat of CPS around like its nothing.

I agree!! Vanessa NEEDS the help. She seem like she just doesn't care till something goes bad and then she is over it 5 minutes later. She has no emotion or compassion. She hasn't listened to the Drs in the past and you can bet she won't now either. Lily will be on that plane to Peru constipated and with no glovesimnottired wrote:I definitely think Vanessa needs court ordered parenting classes and Nonna definitely needs to step in until Vanessa's parenting improves.

I think it was rude that she didn't thank David's parents in some way at the end. I mean, they paid for the trip.

CPS won't do shit. Here in Australia it is DOCs and I called them to help as my ex hubby was neglecting our daughter. They didn't care and referred me to some other service who could not even offer parenting classes.
This world sucks

Re: 2011teenageblackshirtsforever: Part 24
I'm sorry, but I must be missing things. I don't think lily is neglected or abused. I honestly think Vanessa and David thought Lily was doing ok. Vanessa even said she pooped on Wednesday. Maybe lily doesn't go every day or every other day and it's normal for her? Also, V said lily was eating just fine all day the day that it happened. I do think that because lily can't communicate the best, it hinders he situation. And yeah, maybe Vanessa should have paid more attention to Lily's bowel movements, but she didn't and it's over. I bet she will from now on. I also don't think V has munchausen's. She's not purposely hurting lily or trying to make her ill. V has her faults, but I don't think child abuse or neglect or any of them. It's actually kind of rude to say she's bad enough to purposely do this to lily and that she neglects her. Maybe y'all had amazing childhoods, but if lily is neglected, I was very, very abused and neglected then.

It took years to get my niece out of my sister's care (or lack thereof) and into our home. CPS investigates thousands of cases that lead no where. All because a relative or friend got their panties in a bunch and decided to make false complaints or complaints that aren't really complaints worthy of CPS.

Re: 2011teenageblackshirtsforever: Part 24
I disagree, according to V Lily pooped on wednesday just fine but something like that doesnt happen from being constipated ONE DAY. Apart from the fact that she has 2 different stories about what that night i think shes lying. Shes just saying that because she know her family and Davids family watch her vlogs and go to her fb page.Wagurl wrote:I'm sorry, but I must be missing things. V does neglect her daughter and theres all kinds of proof in her videos and we all know this, its not like we are just pulling shit out of the air. Im not saying is abused but she is neglected in some way. Yes shes fed yes she has toys and yes she has clean clothes. Ppl think neglect means you have to be starved, in a filthy house etc. You can have it all and STILL be neglected. Just like V didnt even bother to wrap up her hand in DW when it was hot and humid over there??

Wow WOW WOW
Ok, many of you people don't seem to know how CPS works. CPS doesn't just take you kids away because you are a shit parent! CPS will actually offer parenting class, therapy (Which V and D need), Support groups for both parents and Lily. They can even fund certain things that most teen parents can afford. (Summer camp, Horse riding lessons etc). A lot of you on here talk a lot of shit about how she is abusing L but when someone (I'm not the only one) says anything about CPS you guy act like she isn't that bad. I work in the ER and I know all the warning signs.. I think V needs help and I totally stand for my last comment. V is a shit mother but I think it's because of her childhood etc etc.
CPS is not a terrible monster and they need a LOT to take kids away from their parents.
V and D need to grow the fuck up and learn how to be parents.

^^^I agree with everything you said but i dont think because V had a not so good childhood that means she has to do the same to her child. Ive seen ppl have shitty childhood and become amazing parents. V just sucks as a mom and isnt getting any better IMO. V and D are both as bad as each other

There must be some pretty amazing parents on here if everyone tracks their 3-4 year-olds poops. I teach a class of 20 3-5 year old and not once have I ever had a parent ask me if their kid pooped that day or regularly for that matter. Is V a mind reader all of a sudden? I pray to god my kid gets her shits under control because when she learns to go , wipe, and wash efficiently, she is on her own in the bathroom unless she uses her words and asks for help.

If a child has had constipation issues before parents should be keeping track of bowel movements. My little miss has issues and if anyone else watches her for any amount of time I ALWAYS ask if she pooped.everybody talks wrote:There must be some pretty amazing parents on here if everyone tracks their 3-4 year-olds poops. Maybe next time you should lead your post about how V & D need parenting classes and can help get Lily into summer camps instead of throwing around, "I'm going to call CPS myself" line over and over like a lot of your previous post have been.eliraw wrote:Wow WOW WOW

CPS is not a terrible monster and they need a LOT to take kids away from their parents.
V and D need to grow the fuck up and learn how to be parents.
To me (and probably some of us), CPS is only called when child are being abuse, neglected, starved, etc. yes I know you could have clothes, toys, food, and still be abused, but they do not need to be called.
Second, V may not abuse Lily, but she is rough and impatient with her and forgets that she's only three years old. Yes she shouldn't grab Lilys arm like that, but like some said before, Lily doesn't show signs of fear when it comes to Vanessa.
I don't care if you disagree with me or not, but CPS shouldn't be involved and I would hate V to feel scared and threaten when she reads here, do they need parenting classes? Oh course. You seem to be the only one on this thread to ever threaten to call CPS.
