2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
Re: 2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
Vanessa and Britney both seem so painfully Pinterest I can never understand when people are surprised that their houses are decorated similarly, or they store their coffee the same way... they probably just saw the same generic pin
Re: 2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
I never realize how far behind lily is on speech until I watch another YouTube mom and her videos. Like watching Britney, Aria is talking normally and consistently. It kinda weirds me out sometimes thinking that V doesn't care about lily being delayed and continues to baby her even though she's literally 4. I know it's hard when your kid isn't like everyone else, but doesn't that mean you should be working harder to normalize them? Idk. I feel bad for lily I just want her to be socialized and have as normal of a life that she can.

Doesn't she get speech therapy? For the time I watched her Lily was talking to a speech therapist and Vanessa would work with her on pronouncing words.
Re: 2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
IMHO, it sounds as though Lily is regressing. When she used to practice her colours and animal names and such, she used to be so talkative (although it was still very hard to understand her). She really is a smart girl, but she isn't capable of stringing together multiple sentences, and it doesn't seem like you could have an actual conversation with her that she would understand. Like asking, "Hey Lily, what did you do at school today". I hope that once she enters real school, whatever grade they start at in America, I'm not sure but I'm assuming junior kindergarten, that maybe she'll get more of an intense type of speech therapy. Is it common for turners girls to be delayed or is this just something totally unrelated to her syndrome ?

I wasn't talking about how they decorate their things. I'm talking about their lifestyle. Vanessa never cares about drinking coffee or the cleanliness of her house. She wouldn't go on about it like Britney. Then all of a sudden she's talking about how she can't live without coffee and how she can't stand when her house isn't clean. I don't prefer Britney over Vanessa, but things like that are just straight up noticible.
Re: 2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
When I listen to lily talk, she talks like Vanessa talks to her, very babyish and high pitched. Not sure if it's the right word to describe it, but the cadence of their voices are very similar when Vanessa baby talks to her. Does that make sense? Have troubles trying to describe what I am hearing.

I wasn't replying to your post, just a thought I've had for a while. I don't watch britney's videos with enough consistency to notice if the timing of things Vanessa does coincides with what Britney is doing or not, so I can't speak on that. "Copying" between youtubers doesn't bother me, especially when things being copied aren't unique ideas in the first place. But if Vanessa does try to emulate Britney's life that closely I agree it would be a bit weird.Hpgirl wrote:I wasn't talking about how they decorate their things. I'm talking about their lifestyle. Yes, I agree with you. I was thinking the same thing, but didn't know how to explain it. You explained it perfectly. I've also noticed that she doesn't talk to Lily. When I would pick my kids up from preK I would ask them about their day, what they did, what they ate during snack time, and if they had fun. I never talked baby talk to any of my kids. I think you can communicate with a child with out all of that high pitched baby talk stuff that V does.

Re: 2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
Vanessa and Britney shop almost exclusively at the same store(s). If they were friends they might not buy the same things, but since they aren't, they do. It's Target chic. I don't understand it, because I don't care for Target home decor.
I thought she made a point of not baby talking Lily in the last video. I think the speech therapist has told her not to do that anymore.

Re: 2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
Vanessa definitely talk to Lily like a baby. She doesn't try to have long conversations with her to encourage her to speak more she just talks as if she's talking to a newborn and like everyone says Lily pretty much just parrots whatever Vanessa is asking her. I was happy to see Lily sitting at a little table eating her breakfast but I'm sure once they get their family table in there she will be back in the highchair at four years old
Re: 2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
I don't agree with ever "baby talking". But definitely not at 4.
When you make a stupid voice to babies, thats how they learn to talk. They are people. Talk to them like people.

That's what I thought, Vanessa come to our household it starts at 5 am now that's early. Lilly looked so Cute on that Little table , eaten away by herself , surely it can be pushed to the corner. I say time to ditch the high chair and let Lilly eat from her little Table.CypKitty wrote:Since when is 742am early?

Vanessa, I think it's very much time for you to change your profile picture on your facebook page. That picture is 2 and 1/2 years old.

Re: 2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
Does anyone know what the enlistment process is like? I'm curious because Vanessa mentioned that it can take 6 months for a dress to be ready and she seems pretty prepared to take that risk. Will David be around to even get married? I have no idea what part of the military he is joining. Maybe he is planning to wait until after the wedding? Just curious... it just seems odd that she is so laid back about it.
Re: 2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
She must really be out of ideas for videos. She's doing another Q and A as if she receives a billion different questions that she feels she needs to address in a hr long video.

Did anyone else notice in her day in a life she had her phone far away while looking at Facebook and Instagram ect but moved it way closer at the last thing she looked at? Maybe she was reading here and didn't want others to know she reads here

She is doing a terrible job of hiding the fact that she reads here. LOL
Re: 2011MommyFirstLilySecond- Part 25
So she doesn't record when lily is talking because she is loud and interrupt Vanessa. But then she says she will record sometime when lily is talking. Here's an idea Vanessa, why not have normal conversations with your daughter and if you happen to be filming then great. She has also finally realized that she doesn't film lily much but she will start to because the viewers really like seeing her. Well no shit Vanessa, most people stay subscribed to channels like your to see the kids and not you.
