Re: YTMD Pet Peeves
I can't find the "off topic banter" board but last night I had a dream that one of the Shaytard's daughters (i think the oldest one) posted something really controversial. Unfortunately I can't recall what it was in my dream. This is what happens when I go on YTMD way too much!!

Re: Off Topic Banter: Part 10
Climate change has been occurring for millennia though, and El Niño is a natural occurrence. Look at what happened in 1816, the little ice age or the fact that California has been having one of its wettest centuries in recent history. I'm not denying global warming, but really there are so many examples of weather and climate change being caused by natural occurrences even before modern inventions began to interfere and cause pollution. Just because the trade winds stopped blowing how we're used to doesn't automatically mean humans are at fault. I'm looking forward to this absence of snow and the fact the California drought might get *some* relief.

California is still in a drought though, and lack of snow for many countries and cities means not enough water to go around. Not going to get into this any further, but yes, humans are to blame.

The weather is bipolar in Kansas.
A few days it was in the mid to high 60s, yesterday it was 27 and snowing. Supposed to be 64 on Christmas

Is there a way to unlike posts? Often when I'm reading on taps talk the app or my phone freezes and then when it comes back it says I've liked the post

Any New Year Resolutions ya'll?
For me it's trying to be more productive so I can meet more people and make connections (trying to get in on some community theatre action) and re-learn/because more fluent in Spanish.

Get my shit together is mine; find a better job/take courses, get in a better financial position, move out. If I can at least get two out off three by the end of the year I will satisfied. 2015 wasn't a bad year but it wasn't that great either.
Highlights- I got a car, had more experience in the dating game then I've ever had, found out I was going to be an aunt ( best friend is pregnant, due in Feb). I've grown more emotionally. I've taken more initiative to stand up for myself and started listening to my intuition more.
Downside- I started to detest my job, got in a tif with my coworker and our friendship is pretty fragile now, lost a lot of money/hours at work from hitting a record low due to construction in our area which was bs. I estimated I've probably lost 4000 in pay from hour cut backs.
So it was a meh year. I'm putting faith in that 2016 will be better, I turn 21 in five months so that something to look forward to.

I'm not sure if this is allowed here as idk if it'll be considered "self promotion". If it's not, mods please delete or send me in the right direction! Lol. My boyfriend wrote me a song and he finally built up the courage to post it on YouTube so people can listen! I thought I'd post it here so maybe the song can get a few more views (he doesn't make money off YouTube, so this is really just to boost his confidence lol) and also cause I just think it's a really great song and I love it so much (for obvious reasons ) and I want other people to get a chance to hear it!Also, feel free to comment on the video or reply to me here with some feedback if you'd like! He's looking for constructive criticism on his songs and plans to post this on a song writer subreddit this weekend for feedback as well. Anyways here it is!

Re: Off Topic Banter: Part 10
After discussing Ellie and Jared's incident I thought it would be interesting to ask how many of you parents have had to call for an ambulance or go immediately to urgent care/emergency room? What was it for? Was CPS contacted? Has anybody had to do emergency CPR etc?
Son-had a febrile seizure (of course while I was out of town) called for ambulance.
Second also my son I was holding him walking down cement steps and lost my balance we both took a bad fall. Pediatrician was closed so we went to urgent care they did not call CPS but they surely did ask a lot of questions.
Last one is strange. My daughter got her foot stuck in the child seat of the grocery cart somehow she got it wedged in so bad we had to call for the fire department.

Yikes! I have only had to take my oldest (8) to the ER once. He was 3 and jumped onto the chair but overshot it a bit and hit his forehead on the corner of an end table splitting it open. (It was this moment that I realized my husband is not good in a crisis). They used some glue to close the wound and my son was cleared to go home. He's obviously hit his her a few other times (usually the same spot on his forehead), but those were more "watch and wait" situations and nothing major.
I understand E&J not rushing Jackson to the doctor in this situation, but the choking thing would have scared me to death. Even if it was 3 am I would have taken him in to be examined. Heck, even if it was my cat or dog I would have done the same... and I have insanely high vet bills to prove it

Re: Off Topic Banter: Part 10
^^ I can so relate with the vet bill!
Who knew us having to call the fire department to get her foot out would cost us hundreds of dollars. Nobody in the grocery store had the tools. I did try to use lotion out of my diaper bag but her foot was starting to swell up.
A few months ago I saw a woman freaking out in the target parking lot her toddler somehow locked her out of the car. The target workers tried but could not get that window to bust open. She called the fire department they used a tool that I ordered on Amazon I carry in my purse/diaper bag. Freaked me out!
