It makes me kinda of uncomfortable when people you know dont need it/probably wont use it get sent gifts, but ya if someone wants to send something that is their choice...
The Christmas blunder to which I referred was the crappy Christmas gifts E&J got Jackson. He received only a heap of pillows shaped as rocks--costing about $300, a very basic wooden train set, and bath bombs with a couple of small tub toys. To say it was sparse and lacking thoughfullness as to what Jacksom might really like is an understatement jackson wasn't at all happy to see his rock pillows and he went for Calvin's toy. So, in an attempt to "save Jackson's Christmas", we believe he brought out an unwrapped Tiny Tyke Car Coupe sent by a subscriber. Unfortunately, I don't recall Jared thanking or naming the subscriber and Ellie seemed to be pissed at Jared for giving him the toy. Jackson clearly appreciated that toy car.

That's one case where it was good a vlogger got sent something. Poor Jackson would have had such a miserable Christmas otherwise. And he loves that car!
And I guess I was wrong about no vloggers asking people not to send gifts. I stand corrected on that! Still think they shouldn't have them. But it's just my opinion.
This trip is going to be interesting. It hasn't snowed in Big Bear in a week at least, and it's been up in the 50's during the day. So all these snow suits and boots have been bought for nothing. Didn't they look at the weather before they went shopping?
The thing is, you can get a P.O. box that only fits letters, so if C & K still wanted to satisfy their fans without taking in big packages, they could still get a regular P.O. Box and have fun reading their letters. I call it greedy. (and they're not the only vloggers)

They've filmed checking it and the box is small but the post office leaves them notices for large packages. I'm not sure if you can set it up to automatically decline packages. I think the solution is to tell the audience they will donate any and all gifts and encourage viewers to donate to charities directly instead.
I've noticed a lot of people mailed things to Katie that were personalized from their etsy shop so I guess those people feel it's a good way to advertise.

I wonder if people go the personalized route because a) it's obviously a big deal down here in the south but also b) they can't exactly donate/return an outfit with Macey Gaines all over it. Even if they did say they were gonna donate all gift, they wouldn't be helping anyone with those.

The problem with that is that the post office isnt going to reject packages just bc they dont fit in the box. We have a tiny PO box and if we get packages they just put a pick up slip in the box. So you just have to walk in and get the package. Size of the po box doesnt limit you from package size.
The whole gift thing is strange to me, especially since they knew Katies shoe size and all, when its never been mentioned. I don't know, I don't hate that they get gifts, if people want to blow their money like that then whatever but if it were me on the receiving end I would feel a bit uncomfortable.
Ok, second time in a week that Cullen has sucked up to Shay. First it was with that stupid, ghost written book. This week, when she's wearing her leotard, first, he says "can you say leotard?" Then, "can you say Shaytards?"
I was totally going to drop the whole PO box thing. But someone sent them a stuffed dog bigger than MG. And got their names mentioned on the vlog with "oh they send the nicest stuff and are so sweet". Tell me that doesn't encourage people. Done. I promise.

Yes, that stuffed dog must have cost a fortune to ship. You do have a point, I think it can be seen as encouraging to others. And, I'll concede that it was kind of fishy to me when Katie said she'd looked everywhere and couldn't find a UA cheerleading uniforn for Gaines. Don't you know that MG got at least 2 in one PO Box haul leading up to football season? I still think they handle gifts in the mail way better than E&J though.
I really like that CommanderHolly (a gamer and wife to Ross from Game Grumps) really appreciates the letters and *hand made* gifts she receives. I feel like I would likely send Holly's PO box something because she genuinely loves to correspond with viewers and isn't looking for gifts. Also, if you include a stamp, she will send you a letter back.
Hats off to Cullen and Katie for being such genuine people. Missy couldn't even bother to greet Cullen at the doorway and he went all the way to the kitchen to say hi to her.
Exactly! And the way Jeffrey was holding Finley at the door like he was the father was weird. I think Missy was disappointed that a bigger deal wasn't made initially over Finley.
She birthed that baby, damnit! Give her props!
Katie seemed so annoyed that Ollie was throwing toys at Gaines. I'd be so embarrassed if I was Bryan.
