Haha, no worries. It really was the post that called Katie out for being "selfish" and only caring about channel growth and keeping the money rolling in instead of the "happiness of four little boys", as if she is in any way responsible for them or their parents' parenting skills. Katie is by far the least selfish mom in the group, and the mom with the most money independent of youtube. And, imo, she is the best mother. That's all I have to say about the whole situation.

Both my kids had binkies until they were about 2 1/2. Guess that makes me a horrible parent.

And I felt bad for taking my daughter's away shortly after a year so I could sleep at night. She'd wake up and lose her shit because she lost it. I took it and felt so selfish (but well rested). Parenting...where you always feel like you did something wrong and someone will tell you so. ;-)

Exactly!! we tried several times to take it away and hearing my child (who previously had zero sleep issues) cry for hours on end was something i felt horrible about. I know i will get judged for not letting my kid "cry it out" but im too soft hearted for that. I felt guilty for going back on a parenting decision, but when she gave it up on her on just a few months later, i realized i did the right thing. Sometimes its perfectly fine to let a child grow out of things at their own pace. I have zero problems with a child having something to soothe themselves. Im sure C&K arent going to allow her to go to first grade with a sassy in her mouth, she still a baby and shes fine...

Why do people get so defensive when a YouTuber's criticized for something they do too, just because you do it doesn't make it "right" either.
It's a rotten habit and at that age she shouldn't need it other than naps and bedtime, it looks bad seeing it stuck in her mouth all the time.
Does it make them bad parents? No
Lazy for using it as a gobstopper instead of figuring out what wrong? Yeah kinda

I just feel like insinuating Katie is bad parent bc her baby has a binkie is a little ridiculous. Thats what the original comment was saying.. But to each their own...

Ugh it was me who messed up the quotes sorry.
She didn't say bad parents she said "if they were so great",I feel like there totally put on a pedestal for being "perfect parents" when they have flaws just like everyone else

Lol, I had my pacifier until I was around 3 or 4. Didn't change the fact that mother is a great mother, nor did it hinder her ability to parent me in other ways besides the use of a pacifier.

I think there's a time a place for the binky, they just seem to use it at the times when she doesn't seem to "need it". Why can't she play without it? Is she in pain? Does she need comforting when playing? I'm fine with the binky at this age but for sleep and naps and car rides but come on she's happy and smiling and they shove it in. They are great parents we are just discussing our opinions on the binky issue. I personally don't think she needs it at all unless it's nap or bed time. She's such a happy baby.

Yes, the accent. Mmm hmm.

Anyhoo, in regards to the binky, I only see them giving it to her when she's about to become upset. I don't know, she's still rather young, so I don't see the issue. I think binky is better than fingers (I had a thumb sucker, it was so difficult to get him to break that habit!!). Now if she were 3 or 4, I'd cringe hardcore, but meh, not my kid and it's just a binky.

About the binky, I'd just like to point out that sometimes parents can see things in their kids that others don't. Just because MG may look fine, it doesn't mean Katie can't see a bad mood brewing, anxiety or her being tired. The binky could be "buying time".

Not saying this is what's happening because we don't know, but I can definite see it in my son's eyes when something is "off".... even if he's smiling. There's nothing more annoying than a friend or relative telling you "he looks fine" when you know something is wrong. Good parents tend to know their kids pretty well.

Ick. I just don't see it. Especially after the stripping in the snow vlog. That being said, I think they are definitely the best parents out of the group, and the most natural in how they are on camera. But like why would MG need her binky playing in the snow, she even handed it off to Cullen. But that subject has been beat to death, and it certainly doesn't make them bad parents. I just wonder about the whole making her twirl and show off her outfits like she's some junior pageant queen. There's more to life than looks and outfits. I don't think they'd do that if she was a boy. "Twirl and show us your outfit, Cullen Jr!" Just wouldn't happen. So instilling that sexist idea that "looks are what matter if you're a girl" this early is a little disturbing. And they fed into the shipping with the last cabin vlog, calling it a "Toddler Breakfast Date". I was really disappointed in them for that.
