I hate when people give their opinion so obnoxiously as if it's a known fact. Especially really hypothetical shit like how much money Ean makes or why Jess actually moved out. You will never know!! So no point in getting all pissy and trying to shove your speculation down everyone's throat. It's not fun anymore when someone thinks their theory is the absolute end all truth. Then other posters misunderstand and think it is the truth and start bashing that youtuber based off of that when it's not even true!! It's so irritating lol.

Or saying "I have thus and such so when you comment on a youtuber having it, it hurts my feelings". We have no way of knowing the personal history of every poster on this board. We're not talking about you. We're talking about the youtuber. Nobody is _trying_ to hurt your feelings. If you get triggered by something on a gossip forum, call your therapist, sponsor, whoever. But if it's that bad, stay away from the forum.

I don't know if this has been mentioned because I just found this but when people attack you for having an opinion different than theirs. Some of the people here are obviously under the age of 18 and getting attacked for small reasons by an adult which can really affect them and their self esteem. I remember those days being hurt my every single useless thing and they were not fun.

Nobody should be attacked for their opinion, but if someone cant handle a bit of a rebuttle they shouldn't be here. There's no way for us to be able to tell if someone is 15 or just a slow adult, so we can't simply avoid starting a discussion with the young ones.

I get that I was just really using that as an example I'm sure there are some adults who might be just as fragile and get their feelings hurt easily. We don't know who's behind the other screen but having people start arguments over misunderstandings or very small issue can lead to big unnecessary problems. In the long run were all here for pretty much the same reason.

Nope. Generally speaking. Inspired by today, but whose pet peeves aren't?

This happens A LOT on this thread from various boards and multiple posters.

I was under the impression this thread was for stating pet peeves. Not sure how I got dragged into a personal attack. If I'm not using this thread the way it was meant to be used, let me know, Kryptonite.

I should clarify. I meant people who post mean crap and then talk about being blocked. People acting like trolls, specifically. Posting to a gossip site and being a troll are different, in my opinion. When you post mean stuff on YTber social media, it kind of crosses the line into bullying. YTbers don't have to see or care what we post on a gossip site. ;)

Pet peeve.

I have been wanting to mention this for awhile but don't want to start pages of debates. So agree and move on or foe me because this is my opinion.

One thing I have noticed is how posters will slam SAHMs constantly saying things like "uneducated" or "lazy". Posters have mentioned these women should get jobs or are setting themselves up for failure in the future. Yet I don't see anybody protesting SAHM shaming.

Yet then when posters want to comment on strippers or tacky coffee girls it's "slut shaming"? Double standard much? How is that career choice not "lazy" "uneducated" or not setting themselves up for failure in the future?

FYI it's possible to be a SAHM and plan for the future.

Staying at home and raising a family should be enough if that's the calling a woman or a man have. It's tedious and not everybody's brain may be wired for it but don't disparage those who take that path.

End Rant

Maybe I'm missing the wrong threads, but I haven't seen a lot of SAHM shaming. What I've seen in the threads I read are people making fun of the _vloggers_ who have a LOT of help, eat a lot of meals out, don't stimulate their children beyond plopping them in front of a Disney movie and _then_ complain about how hard their life is. Being a good mom and dedicating your life to your home and family is equally "valuable" as working outside the house. The whole idea that one is "better" than the other, is pretty uncool.

There's been a lot of SAHMs are boring, lazy, need to branch out more. Appreciate their husbands more. They shouldn't worry about their looks. Or they should worry about their looks more. They should have dinner ready for their husbands, and shouldn't expect them to help out because they work hard. They should get a life and get out more....yadayadayada.

Yeah, it happens. I know what boards you're referring to though, and vloggers with two SAH parents is a different ballgame.

YTMD Pet Peeves

Unread post by GymChick »

I have a pet peeve and I do it all the time and annoy the hell out of myself when I do it lol I hate when I start watching a vlog and get all pissed off about something and need to come to the thread and report my opinion before finishing the vlog because usually I have another opinion I want to share or I am eating crow because my original snark was proven wrong in the next vlog clip. If that makes any sense at all lol. I have to remind myself "watch the whole video your opinion isn't that important it can wait, watch the whole video"

I feel like that too. I'm just holding my breath waiting to say something because one vlogging couple in particular I just can't stand. And then after the video, instead of wanting to say something, I feel dirty and some shame for watching the vlog in the first place.

When people act like kyson is an angel brought down from heaven who got trapped in the hell that is the skube family. They excuse any misbehaving as understandable given his environment. Yet kaden and lilia are little brats when they behave the same way. These people favouritise the kids just as much as they think jess does! All kids have good and bad qualities. I like kyson but it seems weird to me how everyone goes singing his praises and excusing bad behaviour. Sorry if people disagree.

If you are going to post negative comments on their accounts and you post here, they should block you! Don't snivel about it on here. That's called being a troll. This site is for people who want to gossip and snark WITHOUT trolling. If you want to be a troll, don't post here. You make the rest of us look crazy.
That, and people who post here posting various things in YT comments, interacting with fans. Like, why? Of course they're going to argue with you if they haven't seen the light.
Yes! "I'm currently in a fight with some minions." WHY. Why even start that?

xoxo gossip cat
Why do people only get away with this on the DB thread?! Karmarose got blocked without a warning for doing it once to Vanessa without knowing it was against the rules.

Also people get some snarky when a YTer is criticized for doing something they do with their kids, "OH I MUST BE A HORRIBLE MOM TOO THEN",like please leave your sensitive side at the door when you come to a gossip site.

I think that's part of why I start so many comments with "My daughter was watching". Because God forbid anyone should think _I_ was was watching a vlog, lol. I keep forgetting that pretty much everyone on this site watches--that's why the forum is here, so no one cares.
