In all fairness, Ruby has a role of wife and mother to play. It was her choice to have both little one's surgeries at the same time, therefore obligating herself to care for two post operation while Kevin left on a work related trip. She said she was tired of her role as mother after several very long days of babytalk with two kids in her bed and she was eager to play the role of wife for an evening when Kevin came home. I wish she'd stop with the babytalj already. Eve is nearly 2.5 years old.

Hmmm.. Ruby feels like she has been ignoring Julie and Abbey, so she treats them to a special day.... Hi, Ruby!!!

8 Passengers: Part One

So in today's vlog we see them ignore Chad when he's looking for praise for cooking his own eggs and instead telling him he needs a hair cut, joke about mental illness (I skipped most of the ocd talk), we see Chads bed has no bedding except a blanket that's too small for the bed and then because Julie's hair is obviously an issue they've given her a 40 year olds "can I speak with your manager" haircut.

Just when I think I can't dislike Ruby more she surprises me. If you aren't Eve or Sherry you don't matter.

Also, wash your damn greasy ass hair Ruby. It just looks like it smells.

Julie's haircut is so ugly for a little 6 year old girl. It makes her look like she's middle aged.

Her little OCD talk was infuriating!! Umm hello, obsessive compulsive disorder is a real mental disorder that many people struggle everyday with and it usually involves a lot more than just being neat. Joking around saying someone is OCD because they don't like clutter is one thing (still not right) but she was straight up confused by what it was, like literally had no clue. God forbid one of her children actually develops a mental illness...she seems like she'd be totally unprepared to deal with that. Also totally agree about Julie's haircut...Ruby obviously just picked something she liked, which conveniently happened to be a style that 40 year old moms rock. Not cute on a little girl.

I think Ruby was uncomfortable with the topic of OCD and admitted she didn't really know what it was. I didn't find her offensive in the matter. I felt for Chad having been shut down yet once more by his mother. I give him credit for still trying to talk to her at this point. Seems like Julie and Abbie have given up on her.

That's pretty much it. Shari is 12 and shares a bed with Eve who is 2. To be somewhat fair, shari did say she would prefer a big bed and share with eve... But really, I think it's rediculous that they don't have seperate beds. And Abby and Julie also share a double bed (they're 8 and 6) but both of the girls said they didn't want to share and yet ruby got a double bed and made them share anyway.

I am starting to think that the 8 Passenger kids don't get to watch the blogs their mother makes. Fancy putting a thumbnail of you sniffing your daughter's armpit. I would be so embarrassed if my mother put that on the Internet.

I just don't see how some of these vlog titles are about creating memories. Go back to scrap booking Ruby if you want memories for your family that they can be proud of. Oh that's right you are just chasing the YT dollar too.

Shame on all of you for using your kids to do that!!

And YES ... Wash your freaking hair!!!

So she will film her daughter buying a training bra but discipline is private? That makes me think that either she smacks her kids and doesn't want to do it on camera or she lets eve get away with everything. It's probably both. Eve scratched and pulled Russell's face and ruby told her "sit down" what does that teach her? My 2yo does the same thing to her big brother and I pull her up on it every single time and tell her why it's naughty and that it hurts. Don't ignore it, she will keep doing it. Put the goddamn camera down, pause your speech about chores and disciple your toddler.

Sometimes I get the vibe Ruby is an unhappy person. Maybe it's because she said she's only good at being a mom, but I felt kind of sad for her when she said that. Kevin seems to always be gone, and she has to take care of all the kids, cook, and clean by herself. She doesn't seem to have any time for herself.

It's kind of weird to me that Shari talks about her future children and what they will learn, what she will do if they don't want to ... Like I've never thought about that when I was twelve/thirteen. I just don't like how Ruby and probably most her siblings push the idea of there's only one right future for a girl.

I'm actually super impressed at the musical abilities of her kids. That takes a lot of time, commitment, and money.
And if Shari wants to be a mom, more power to her! I'm a feminist and that means girls and women can do what they want, even if it is "just" to be a mom.
Ruby does bug me in a few ways but I think she's a better mom than many.

Ruby strikes me as the type of person who craves intellectual stimulation. With Kevin traveling so much, I think she gets restless. I get the impression that she struggles with being a stay at home mom much more than her sisters. She strikes me as someone who would have been very career driven, if circumstances were different. That's not to say that I don't think she loves being home with her kids.

Shari is seriously hilarious. Today Ruby was going on that nutso Japanese cleaning binge and Shari wasn't having it! She has to know her mom is neurotic. And I don't get get the deal with her only wanting to have a few clothes. Like the girls wore those new outfits for Valentine's Day like 5 days in a row...I feel like it's just a control thing to her. Yes its superficial, but at Shari's age, she'd totally be made fun of for wearing the same 5 outfits all the time. Also that skirt was hideous, poor Shari.

Oh no Jared infected Chad with the following a script issue. In a video from like a week ago the poor kid had to keep restarting his sentence. Pfft. Spends way to much time with Jared, clearly.
Just the opinion of an internet stranger. Don't take anything personally, for your own sake as well as mine.

It's becoming more obvious that ruby reads here!!!
She started showing Abby and Julie a little more and also mentioned about eves behaviour.
I don't like this woman at all. She is so disingenuous I find. It's clear she's only doing YouTube for the money. I like Kevin he seems like a genuinely nice guy.
