Well, that was interesting. Today I learned my sympathy for others is minimal since I feel zero sympathy for this chick. It's hilarious when she comes back and flips out on everyone, but after the anger dissipates and the sob story comes out - nope nope nope. You can't treat people like shit and expect them to pat your ass when you whip up a questionable tragic backstory. Once the sympathy fades we're going to be insulted again and I am not falling for it. I'll risk looking like a jerk.

Sapphire can stay gone, hopefully finding peace with her life or finding support on an appropriate thread. Perhaps treating those folk better. But she'll be back, we'll all have to go through the cycle theirmom explained once more. I just feel bad for newbies since they're all potential Sapphire accounts from here on out. Sorry, genuine newbies. But at least last night was interesting.

Treat people how they treat you. Mental illness isn't an excuse, if someone's a bitch they are a bitch. Doesn't mean we should be her bffs just because she's a bitch with a mental illness.

Everyone's moved on but I just got off work so I'll say this: I don't believe her for a second. You can all coddle her and play nice but I'm just going to tell it how it is and try to get her story straight. Moot point now, but still. It's a lot of you falling for it, not me.

I don't really believe her past/stories either. But to me the story/excuse she has doesn't matter, it's the emotion behind it. She has volatile anger and strong emotional responses, she keeps getting caught in lies and will then come clean and tell a new "truth" ect ect. I was being nice to her, not because I believe her but to me (not trying to diagnose because I hardly know her just purely based on my gut feeling and intuition) she displays a lot of the characteristics of someone who has borderline personality disorder. Those disorders are so so so frustrating, can't tell fact from fiction. It's impossible to reason with them, even if you throw every fact and lie their way- it honestly makes it worse and they will continue to make up stories until whatever emotion they are feeling is dealt with. So you have to really depersonalize and detach yourself when talking to these people and focus on their feelings rather than the stories and fact. Try to turn the tables and let them figure out a solution for coping with those feelings rather than lashing out/making up lies for attention.

Anyways people like that really are seeking for attention, so if we want her to leave just have to not give in to that attention I guess. Hopefully that will lead her to find help in a more appropriate community

I have moderate-severe BPD. It can be hard to fight it, but it's not impossible. I stick to my opinion. If I'm a bitch, I expect people to dislike me. She's a bitch, I dislike her.

^ nope. But when she said something like "I could be a child, an adult or an old person" (something like that) it made me think she was very young and trying to test the waters. It's just not a point an adult would bring up in an argument otherwise.

Yeah, she says we give off a "you can't sit here vibe" and that's partially her fault. I don't mean to be standoffish to new posters. I welcome new opinions, and some of you are hilarious, which I personally love. I'm a sucker for snarky humor. But this makes it hard to welcome newbies with open arms.

Wow. I agree with the above. She seems fairly young and incredibly immature. Her whole ban me, but I'll be back tactic is just immature and weird. I understand wanting to be accepted by a group of people, but acting insane by creating different personas and then being a bitch-troll to everyone isn't going to help make you some Internet friends.

I lurk the dailybumps thread quite often, so this was quite the exciting read... Even more exciting because I argued quite a bit with Motheringthem on the e+j/Bonnie threads and many people supported her - to find out that Motheringthem is actually sapphire is... Interesting. Makes sense now cause she had a random outburst against me twice and called me a pussy and a c*nt in pm. I hope she gets the help she needs.

I remember her posting long post in the E&J post, but usually I just scrolled past them the times when she was clearly taking things way too far. That sucks that she PM you the name calling. Mental health doesn't make sense. Her mood wings, lying, attention seeking, anger ect. She is obviously unstable and none of it will make sense and it will just be frustrating if you try tbh.

I personally can't see how she can come back after a week's ban. Or why she would want to. If it was me I would cut my losses and just move on. Learn from it and remind myself not to go creating heaps of conflicting stories on the next site I joined.

Oh wow.
I didn't know Sapphire was back.

Due to my own mental health and bad anxiety, I had to take a step back from YTMD and the DB thread. I'm now able to come back on, but I don't go to DB or threads that move too fast because I get bad anxiety from falling behind.

It seems crazy that Saph keeps coming back and doing this, but that's what people with mental health disorders do. I agree with gym chick and BPD. I had BPD characteristics in high school, not severe enough to be diagnosed, but it seems to line up with her situation.

Saph, you need a psychiatrist to get you on medication to keep you stable and then a psychotherapist to help you work through this all, whatever it may be. This forum isn't doing you any good. It isn't a place to make friends. I'd suggest FB groups for BPD or stillbirths. I'm in lots of ADHD women's groups and I've made some amazing friends.

Saph, I wish you the best and urge you get proper mental health care. But the ball is in your court. If you're not prepared to get better and seek help, then it's not going to happen. If you're actually in Canada and want help finding resources, feel free to PM me. But it would just be for information, not a friendship.

I miss you all!! But not this drama. Haha. Maybe some day I'll dive back in, but I know for now and my own mental health, I need to limit my involvement at this time.
