Actually, as per established clinically significant medical evidence, and the WHO breastfeeding reccomendations, breastfeeding is only sufficient to support optimal growth until 6 months old "in most children". This is when it no longer meets the daily requirements, mainly of iron and b12, when the stomach is mature, and after this age there is increased associations with gastrointestinal disorders, allergies and atopic conditions.

I watched a few of their vlogs earlier. Omg. Ashley's baby voice. It sounds like some really weird accent instead of a typical baby talk voice. I couldn't take much of it.

I learned about "Motherese" (basically a "language" moms create when talking to their baby's that consists of high pitched sing songy words) in one of my human development classes and every time I hear her talk I can't help but think she's taken her Motherese way way too far! It's the main reason I stopped watching them. I couldn't take feeling like I was being talked to like that. They seem like a great loving family but that was just too much for me. Maybe I'll check back in a year and see if she's grown out it. Also the excessive and strange nick names bother me too. The girl have kind of funky names though so I can get wanting to call them other more cutsie things because Evangeline and Scarlett don't really sound great on a baby.

I'm sooo glad ya'll feel the same way. I LOVE the Gardners and I think they are such a sweet family but man. My niece isn't much older and we do the goofy voices but as someone said, it's like she has her own accent lol. It's also reallllyy not going to help with the quads speech.

That's exactly the problem!

Baby talk is annoying for adults. But the babies really get the short end of the stick. They learn to speak how they are spoken to. Babies who only hear baby talk all the time are more likely to have speech impediments. They basically have to learn to speak twice.

I used to really love this family, but the way they talk to the girls is driving me nutty. Durls.. durls?! Once in awhile, fine. I do it with babies without even thinking sometimes, but not one sentence after another. I know it's cutesy and to try and hold their attention, but still, no. It's going to screw the girls up when it comes to their speech, and they already have a higher chance of facing challenges with speech due to their prematurity.

I'm bummed that I skip most vlogs lately, but the talk is just really annoying. I think the girls are cute, they definitely have that preemie look (I've had preemies, many tend to have a certain shape of their head, etc.), but they're cute.

Also, do they seriously make enough money from Etsy to both stay home? I'm blown away by that fact if it's true. Unless Tyson is on some sort of paid paternity leave, but that'd be a long leave.

I love this family but like several have said I tried getting through yesterday's vlog but I just couldn't. Because their talk just gets on my nerves. And I wish they would transfer them to a convertible car seat because my daughters pediatrician said that she should be out of the infant carrier at 1. And another thing that drives me nuts is the quality of the videos i wish they would buy a nice camera instead of donuts all the time.

As long as they still fit in the infant seat which is under 30 pounds or under 30 inches they are safe in an infant seat. My daughter used her infant seat until she was 2.5 as a backup seat in my parents car, perfectly safe as long as they still meet the height and or weight requirements. Pediatricians know nothing about car seat safety. Asking a pediatrician about car seat advice is like asking a butcher about broccoli. It is also easier for Tyson and Ashely to haul 4 babies in and out during flu season in the infant seats. Sorry about the novel, I am a CPST.

One slam on the breaks and her body could cause some serious damage to the girls. And if they are lucky it will only cause damage to her when she shoots ot the windshield.

Idiots like this are the reason I don't drive. I trust myself, I don't trust other people.
